In today’s video, I give you a point of you reference of what it’s like to wake up in your car in the snow. Then we will get after the day, go to the gym and earn some money with the gig apps. #livinginmycar #carlife #gigworker
@@brenpgrace@brenpgrace I like the fireplace, too. I used it one night for my Uber ride customers, and they liked it. I played some soft rock and pop music. So, thanks for the idea.
I love when you said it is cold.. " It is what it is". Thank you for those words. Sometimes we forget we cannot change what is going on and we have to go with the flow❤
Wow I just have so much respect for you I don't know if you are living in your car by choice or what but I definitely know I couldn't do it and wish you all the best from another New Englander!
Wild, I changed it by moving! Fly over states is for those who can’t make it on one of the coast. Y’all enjoy them seasons! I moved to a city that skips all the horrible ones. When I want snow I drive 2 hours.
You are a very admirable person, you're motivated, you make do with just the minimal things, you've got a great attitude and you've got a good personality. I admire you , I really do.
Hello... okay I just happen to be the type of person who loves watching people living in their cars and your Uber deliveries are interesting to me. Love seeing how much you make at the end of your day.
Me too I feel it's cozy but I would want something that's more insulated and bigger like a station wagon. Have always wanted to go cross country and take turns driving and taking naps in the back
@@streetbikebilly2597 part of me does too but I’m sure it’s not half as much fun as it sounds like especially when it’s not by choice. I have no idea the situation here I just came over my recommendation. I thought it was going to give a sub to somebody who needed to get monetized. Very happy to see I was wrong. Still happy to be here.
I don't even want to leave my house when it's cold. I can't imagine leaving during the snow so I know I'd definitely be using Uber Eats. Thank goodness for people like you willing to brave the snow.
I'm a 53-year old guy here who has a mortgage and a house and is involved with someone.. I hold my CDL but mind you if I was Footloose and fancy-free again I would definitely be doing something along the lines of what you do which is traveling around doing some kind of deliveries living in the vehicle and doing as I please. Stay safe love these videos
If you want to do it...rent out your house and do it...I'm 60 had to have spinal surgery 2 yrs ago. I traveled a lot, but still have dreams I didn't get to yet and my not because of pain and lack of mobility...Don't have regrets.
Wow imagine your wife thinking you actually love her. Soul search buddy because this is Not cute. You clearly are not a real man and need to honest with the ppl in your life. You’d rather be homeless than be with your wife. If I was her divorce you so fast and take everything you have that way you can live out your dream.
Just so you know, I found your videos and felt so inspired to make better decisions. Just appreciate that each day is an opportunity. You have a larger impact on people than you might realize. Thank you for posting and being so open.
To me it signifies that it's a cry out for help. I'm sure if he had a stable place to live. He wouldn't be posting anything. Maybe? It's nice to hear and have the encouragement also uplifting words from the viewers to stay encouraged. But it will be even better to offer him a place to stay, or a room to rent, or even a full time job. I'm sure he wants a decent place to live, that he can call home. It's not a good job living in your car in snowy conditions. The words are inspiring, but what's even better, a real place for him to call home. Maybe, just maybe it's what these videos are all about. Cry out for help. Is someone listening to his cry? Stay Strong.!
@@Hello-kv4hb full time job? The guy worked all day and made over $200 with no boss breathing down his neck. This is the year 2024. Working full time no longer means that you need to be stuck in an office or factory all day. He works harder than most while living in his car and having the freedom to do what he wants. This is what works for some people. Especially with rent as high as it is. He pays Zero money for rent and gets to keep every dollar he makes. Plus youtube videos get monetized and that is even more money! This isn't a cry for help. This is a dude who actually figured out a successful way to live in a car!
I love how you've edited this video. The music, the variety of angles, and the shift between spoken and written information, it really was excellent. I enjoyed watching it very much!
Great video as always Bren. I like how you explain things throughout the video. To me, it gives me a real personal experience. As if i was right there doing the same things. Keep up the good work!
When your feet are freezing, use a hair dryer! We don't have hard winters, but even so it's the best, quick way to warm you up under your comforter. My kids would love having their feet get comfy warm, and I would lay another heavy blanket on their feet to keep the warmth in.
I had a white 2013 Outback. Best car I ever owned. I traded it in six years ago for a truck, which I LOVE, but I should have kept the Outback as a second vehicle. It was just fantastic in the snow, and not a day goes by when I see an Outback that I don't wish I'd kept it in addition to the truck. GREAT vehicle and definitely one you could sleep comfortably in.
I liked this video because, unlike other "living out of my car" videos, this is the most realistic. Showed me how it would really be like if I was to do this. Not like others that are out there in the mountains living out there car...
Gotta say, theres a few comments on here that did NOT pass the vibe check. I cant imagine working so hard and giving us the privelige of getting a peak into your life than having some people throw it back into your face. You make more of an impact in other peoples life than you think, definitely for the better! Im happy to see you take all of that negativity in stride when sometimes it can get overwhelming- but your effort is seen and appreciated! Much love from Chicago! 🫶
Stay strong warm and positive. It all works out one day at a time. Count your blessings . You have a car to work with and live in. You are blessed. You are strong you are powerful you are amazing.
Love it! Ya know you’re more productive than people in a larger space. Minimal life style is very important and good for the mind. I’m really trying to get to a point like that. I’m almost there.
I enjoy your videos and look forward to them. I appreciate your honesty and care for the world. I sooooooooooo enjoy watching folk make their way in THEIR own way. Be encouraged. Your son is blessed to have such a loving man in his life. What's up, fellow Brennionites?❤
Just found your channel and I am hooked! I car camp about 1x per month and appreciated your tips about camp spots(Walmart) and gear. I also admire your journey to sobriety and your continued enthusiasm about living in your car(confession: My favorite part is when you snap your fingers to the "red light lounge..lol") I enjoy going on your deliveries with you ...especially when its snowing. Good luck with your goals and journey and I look forward to future episodes!
Hi! New Subbie. First, I want to thank you! I am an ICU nurse that lives in NorCal. I am originally from New Orleans La. I worked in the COVID ICU. If it wasn't for Gig workers, I wouldn't have had groceries, basic necessities, and dinners most of the time. I was too exhausted to cook, and I didn't even want to risk going through drive thru because we as a healthcare community, didn't know what we were dealing with. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I exposed anyone. I would use the apps more if they didn't charge fees for, I don't understand what. That is how I got into gig RU-vid. I can't remember who I started watching, but the video was breaking down the fees. I try to order once a week. I always tip 25% or higher. My parents had a catering and bartending business. I put myself the 2nd time through college by bartending. My brother has a food truck and catering business as well. Because I am not ordering as much, I watch content, subscribe and comment. I can't believe in 2024 people are not tipping. It blows my mind that people want you to use your car, car insurance, maintenance, use your gas, shop for a basket full of groceries which includes 8- 32 bottles of water and a 30lb bag of dog food, not replying to a text or call when there needs to be a substitution, bag all of the groceries with precision, only to find out that they are on a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator. Let's not even factor inclement weather. This grinds my gears. To add to that some of the orders that these apps have the nerve to send out to the drivers. Sorry for the rant. Where did you find your Sock Monkey socks? They are so cool. Be safe and have a great day.
@hellooutthere8956 no they decide our tips after, they can go on app and raise or lower that's probably why it takes us like an hour to receive our updates for the day as we go
I tip for grocery delivery, but i always meet them at the bottom of the driveway and carry my groceries up to the house myself, yes including the 30 pounds of dog food. Why? I am always the first order and no one needs to start their day off with such a pita order 😀
First time viewing. Love your attitude. So many van/var dwellers think a pretty video and the accumulation of follower gifts are their aim and income. You have a great ethic. Greetings from France.
This is currently my favorite video on RU-vid. When I'm sitting in my office daydreaming about a Crosstrek & tiny house, I will keep you in my thoughts out there. Stay safe brother.
Hi Bren from rainy and wet London! Just came across your channel yesterday and loving your content. You are down to earth and real which makes a refreshing change from most other vlogging channels. You got yourself a new sub! ❤
I couldn't imagine what it be like living this life style in your older age... maybe in a cube van with bit more room to stand straight and bit more movement inside.. much respect to your life style dedication 👍
hate snow more than the brutal summer heat, thought Ohio winters were bad until i worked in Minnesota LOL. Winters up north are on another level. Great content, i find videos like this appealing to watch.
Just subscribed. I must say I have been binging your vids the last couple of days and its been fun and peaceful watching them. I feel out of all the vids of ppl living day to day in thier car and working, your vids paint a more realistic view point . I hope things continue to work for you and come full circle❤
Dang Bren the RU-vid algorithm is doing well in this video for you, I'm happy been following your journey since the beginning, keep up the good work bren. ❤
Hello Bren🤗 I to live in the North East. I enjoy your video. My son also work Uber eats and DoorDash, now I see the process of the job! Thanks for your videos. 👍🏾😊
One mans car is another mans castle...love your positive vibes....subscribed! (I have a Subaru and an apartment I can barley afford in a iffy area....but the Crosstrek in 2017 were much smaller than they are now)
You definitely were some of these people’s godsend this day with deliveries and in the snow. You make these deliveries look so easy and I’m glad it was a good day and you surpassed your daily minimum target
Dude I freaking love this channel!!! I love all aspects of it! Keep putting out the vids & keep pushing on! Sending much love from a North Alabama friend!
lol. Reminds me of 5 years ago. I ended up homeless living in my Jeep in northern az. Lots of snow. My dogs loved it. We now live in a converted cargo trailer and cheap flea bitten hotels. It’s by choice now. I’m saving tons of money not paying rent or mortgage. I’m kind of missing that Jeep in the snow with my dogs. It was cozy. Best wishes buddy. $10 a month gym for showers. Truck stops, rest stops, blm land, national forest, state trust land. Stay hidden. Wash the car, keep the windows clean. You won’t look out of place.
I am so glad i don't have to deal with snow 😂, lived in michigan for 2 years, i wished for snow living my whole life in California untill i seen what it was like constantly having to shovel the snow to get out the driveway.. great vid!
👍Excellent! Just caught your content I have been homeless several times Love your positive attitude Teach people to be grateful with appreciation Enjoyed your delivering I do Uber as well Its easier for a guy than girl when living on the road Love your food tray Organized with a system in place that works well for you If you can deliver in snow than I can deliver in rain Thankfully I have a home now Its a learning experience Bren I have great respect for you Stay safe and well
RU-vid recommended this after watching a couple gig work vids and stealth camping with Steve…love the calming intro seems interesting definitely will most likely subscribe ❤
First of all congrats on your sobriety! My daughter has been clean for 6 months ;)) I am obsessed with your channel! Just watched 3 or 4 of your videos! ;) Love your content! I am an Empty Nester and can't wait to travel up North!
Babe, drive to Florida in the winter. St. Petesburg is busy and the weather 8s amazing in the winter. Amazing places to car camp overnight. The south skyway bridge is my fav.
Quick tip: i like to use carbon wee wee pads on my car floor. They have double tape on the underneath and stick well to the floor. Also, their dark, so they blend in pretty good 👍. Last but not least, they are absorbent and disponible 🙂! Hope it helps.
I thought of living in my car since i also do Uber and Lyft. Renting an apartment is so expensive, you have to hustle and be creative these days! Glad you found a safe place to park at night
Great job working in not so great conditions. I have a couple questions. I have been doing gig work for a year now. I just do it part time. Question 1, do you worry about acceptance rate? 2. Does it make a big difference? If you don't feel comfortable answering these it's fine. Stay safe out there!
Hi Bren! Thank you so much for this wonderful video. You have a great personality and are hard working. The thumbnail on this video made me click, as I love nature and I love watching camping videos. You will notice that thumbnails like that will reach a wider audience with different interests also (which is terrific). I can’t wait to see your channel continue to grow. Best of luck and of course I subscribed!!!!! ☃️❄️
I don't live in my car but I vacation in it when I travel out if state 😂 I'm in an Impreza sedan tho so it's a lot more inconspicuous. You probably wouldn't expect someone sleeping in a compact
People taking these low ball offers should be working minimum wage jobs. Spending more on gas and maintenance than you're being paid. Guess it also depends on how many migrants you have working in your market too 🤷♂️ one man's trash is another's treasure
I’m not homeless and I do gig apps not saying I’ve never slept in my car doing it because I have but I’m not homeless. I have a place to go. I have a place to sleep. It’s not the best of a place but it’s a roof over my head, sometimes I don’t stay here and sometimes I do for the most part when I’m trying to tell you it’s that it’s a choice. You can pay your bills and pay your rent and make things work for you if you’re willing to go out and work the hours for it, yes it may be rough. It may suck times are tough but that doesn’t mean nobody can’t do anything. that’s just observed like I said I’ve done gig full-time and I’ve worked W-2s full-time. Hell I’ve done them both and I’ve still lived in my car, showered at a gym and went to work all week. and then after that week, I went home to where I lived or live. It’s a choice.
Where I live in Australia 30 Fahrenheit (-1 C ish) only gets us a thin frost in the early mornings, I can't even imagine how cold it must in a car with no constant heat on to keep him warm overnight. Definitely manages it very well tho 💯
I have figured out how to live comfortably in my car even in the winter, spring is upon us now. The weather is beautiful and life is good. Thanks for watching!
You’re very handsome! You had a very productive day. I deliver for UberEats, DoorDash, Grubhub, and Spark part-time, about 15-20 hrs per wk. Lately I’ve been having more success with UberEats in my area in Maryland. I work f/t at a bank. I enjoy delivering more than my bank job.
I'm so glad to see this comment. I just quit a bank job due to the stress of it. I just joined Ubereats to see if I could make decent $ (I clean houses too) to add to my other job. Is it worth it? Truly curious
@@bethannprather1462 I avg. $25-30 per hr delivering so it’s totally worth it. I don’t think I could do it f/t, though. I hear you about the bank job being stressful. It really is!
