I'm 51 and i have never had a dishwasher in any home i have lived in. I always do the dishes after dinner so the kitchen is clean before i go to bed. Nothing worse than seeing a pile of dirty dishes in the moring when you wake up😝

The grieving has definitely changed me the past couple of months . I believe they don't truly leave us❤❤

Rowan, so sorry to hear your mom passed! Ruby will definitely give u comfort, no doubt about it!!!! It's horrible when that time comes around! When I was young, my mom was always sick and I all the time worried about he leaving me, but didn't until I was 40, her, 62! That was in 97' and still miss her!!! Loving the window coverings! Can't beat those Yeti coolers! Love your video's!!!! Ruby is just precious!!! Thanks for taking us along and sharing!!!

You’ve been on my mind as I’ve been binging on your older VLOGS. I only found out about RU-vid TV Subscriptions last July 2023 as I was looking for something affordable. I thank God for all of the precious, amazing, incredible people aka new friends he has brought into my life since exploring all of their journeys through their VLOGS!!! Seeing you from the start of this VLOG today, I had to put it on pause. I knew something was wrong, upsetting even if you didn’t include the hashtag grief. You bring so much light & happiness into so many of our lives! Finding out from you on your older VLOG of your heartbreaking loss, 😢 my thoughts are that this may be the heartache you are consciously feeling right now. I lost my mom 4/2/14 to Alzheimer’s and then my dad 12/2/21 to a stroke after losing my dad I’ve never felt quite whole. Grief is so different for each person. I’m still struggling , but I know God is there getting me thru it all. I am sorry for your loss Rowan, God bless and keep you ❤

I’m so sorry for your loss, I just lost my 25 year old granddaughter and the baby she was carrying on April 28,2024. Our mini bus is in the shop. I can’t wait till it is out and we can start camping again. I need that time out in nature. Love the stickers I have some just like them.

I love the slow days. Puttering around doing things I've been putting off. Grief takes time. I lost my husband many years ago. I used camping to heal my mind and heart.

Hey Rowan, I'm a newer sub. I really love watching your videos. I'm an End-of-Life Doula, so I understand the need to take the time you need, to grieve. Grief is not something that goes away after a funeral or after a week, a month-etc. It's unique unto you. It lived within you, along with all your other parts. That part you had in your heart for your loved-one, had a place, a shape. And now, it's shape-shifter, as it were. One day, in time to come, that empty sad place, will slowly fill back up with memories and gentle things. But not all at once and not today. So until then, we live. We breathe. And you give yourself grace. You are so very wise to know how critical it is to follow your instincts to slow down and heal. If we don't acknowledge the hurt and give that some love, we leave ourselves open for those old people and places we used to dwell, places we don't need to return to now. So I'm sending you all the healing. Sending Ruby a scritch and cuddle. Well done, Rowan, for listening to yourself. It's hard. I still struggle. I have my days, too. The best we can do is honour those feelings. It guarantees our growth. ❤‍🩹💝

I hope Ruby has a microchip. I had a cat stolen from me 3 years ago. Only my aggressive pursuit of her and also the MICROCHIP I had put in her proved she was my cat and got her home. You're moving all over the place. I would never recommend not getting your pet chipped, but in your case, I think it's essential.

I am so sad to hear that your mom passed away. Please know how loved and supported you are by your community. Tuesday will be 3 years that I lost my mom to cancer...we were incredibly close and I miss her every day. I "inherited" Prissy her chocolate Lab who looks exactly like Ruby. Imagine Ruby at 14 years old with white eyebrows weighing 93 lbs. Prissy and Ruby have the same mischievous look in their eyes, too! Prissy has only slowed down a little bit this past year and keeps me on my toes... Sending much love, thoughts and prayers from Florida. 🥰

My mom passed away in January and though I'm 70 it's been a huge deal (thank God for Hospice Bereavement) so now a new chapter...I'm waiting on my camper van in the fall 🚐 💗📗🎨🌿🐿️I so NEED to slow down so thank you. I love your rubber cement trick, wavy fabric over solid window coverings drives me nuts and the ice in the cooler is heartening. I have to laugh because like you I'm always on one needful/beautification project or another.. so maybe I DON'T need to slow down 😅 thanks for the inspiration. Ps: cumin is one of my faves too and hanging up the laundry to dry was my chore as a child and I STILL love it but am not living in the weather for it (and no space for a line which is better than a rack!)

I have been away took a break from Facebook and RU-vid. I missed u a d been praying for u. I still want to go in the rode ur such an inspiration to me. I am 55 years old. I live with my cats. I'm so glad you are doing self-care. Everyone grieves differently, and it is good to allow yourself the freedom to express yours in the way that fits you. I've lost several loved ones, including my mom, hubs, and a daughter. Grief often sneaks up and hits me like a wave, even with no apparent trigger. But know that it does ease and comes less frequently as time passes. Time is your ally in this. Much 🙏🙏💖💖 to you and your family.

Grief is felt by all but its an individual journey through. After losing my spouse I changed deep inside. Allow all your emotions space and honor each for in each you will find yourself. Hugs to you and Ruby. Know that even as you travel alone there are others collectively reaching out to steady you when you need.

I call dish washing therapy. It's soothing to have my hands in warm water and just focus on the moment. My husband says he is all about supporting anything that makes me feel better so he leaves me to my "therapy sessions". (He's so good to me.) lol
