Plum picking and seaweed collection from Akaroa Harbour for fertilising the garden. Riding on bike through the Akaroa township. Also showing history past and present of Mill Cottage. Diane Cullen (formerly Petterson) passed away peacefully of old age on June 2nd 2021
Michael Petterson passed away peacefully of old age on 19th January 2024

Hi Greg, that was a fantastic video. I am the step son of Russell Smith, Mike’s business partner and good friend for many years. I remember visiting the Cottage as a child, dining in the new house, touring the cottage, and seeing Mike play a game of pushing against Gilbert’s head as hard as possible (as I recall, Gilbert won). Mike is a very special person to me. Thanks for posting this wonderful slice of the past.

Thanks for your kind comment. Diane was 91 when she passed away peacefully of old age. Michael is alive and well and is 87 years old🙂
