The only thing I worry about going off grid is the possible need for modern healthcare or welfare. It is about the only reason that I can think of why I could need money. What if I get sick and herbal medicine is not enough? Or if I get too old and weak to work?
@PhysicsViolator

Being a milionaire is an illusion persuated by materialism . A lot of rich people are more depressed than normal people because they tried eveything and have everything no achievements for life anymore and it sucks .. life is a challange and living off grid is just that . When people will understand that nwo and the system are evil they will let everything go and money will be nothing but paper this is the future

This video has meaning for me as I just relocated from a large English city to Swedish Lapland right on the Torne which forms the border with Finland. The area of this province is marginally smaller then the area of England (Scotland and Wales not included) and the Population is less then that of my home city in England. The wildlife is everywhere with so many different kinds of birds. We have a large rabbit population and red squirrels amongst others and It certainly is pleasant to see the reindeer walking down the roads in small packs out in the wild.

And she even calmed in the nature. Mostly off course because she didn't want to disturb the reindeer. But maybe because of the silence you can hear the wind, the trees, with is such a soothing sound, puts you 'down to earth' as she put it.

I once went on Erasmus to Lapland University (winter semester!), and it is every bit as cool as it looks here. Also, you get the northern lights, Santa Claus, saunas and an overwhelming amount of moomin and angry birds merchandise. Definately best semester of my life (until I went for Erasmus Practices in Murcia, Spain, which was just as fun but in a different way... but that is a different story ;)

The way climate change is going, more and more people will have to live this far up north, just to have access to water. This lifestyle is beautiful, I live in Scotland and we have beautiful right to roam laws where you can experience the great outdoors completely undisturbed. I LOVE this lifestyle and wouldn't change it for the world, I'm originally from Berlin. Lived in Jena, which became unbearable due to warming.

@notsosilentmajority1
@notsosilentmajority1 5 лет назад
It is partially due to humans relying on most of our food from a small number of farmers, ranchers and fisherman (more or less) and not realizing where it actually comes from. Of course the PC culture and vegetarians and vegans, etc. have made some people actually feel guilty about feeding themselves. I grew up in NYC but later lived in different environments and countries and I can honestly say that living in a big city is not good for the human spirit when compared to living away from the city, even if it is only in a suburban setting. I had a wonderful time as a child in NYC but city children/people miss out on so much of life's little things, especially, in regard to nature. It would be great if everyone could try a little bit of the different ways of living. Obviously that can't be done for the majority of people but we are seeing more and more people at least giving the natural life a chance again. God bless us all.
@OriginalPuro

@@Vbnzzdbb It can only be scary if the person is unaware of what it is, for instance thinking it's "dangerous", meaning ignorance. It is sad that we have regressed, as David states.
@timomastosalo
@timomastosalo 4 года назад
@@Vbnzzdbb No, I think it's the killing part. Urban person is not used to kill animals. Since kids, they grow to think animals are pets, cuddly things. Why some of them spoil their dogs and cats: too much food, too little exercise.
@chazman87784
@chazman87784 3 года назад
It very much is the killing aspect of it. So many people eat meat but have no idea what that actually means and that it involves the death of an animal. People feign ignorance so that they don’t have to take responsibility.
