Can you please explain what that means? Is making fun of people with autism a trend now (I wouldn't be surprised since Americans have no humanity or soul), what is considered "autism coded". I honestly feel like the whole world is chronically on tiktok and turn themselves into boring robots just so somebody won't think who they are or what they're doing is "weird" and it's totally sad and pathetic. If you do keep drinking them, you should buy a pack of each brand and make some videos comparing them, there's not many people who have actually gone through and compared all the brands for taste, value, and nutrition. The cheapest and best value one I've found is Equate (Walmart's brand) "Nutritional Shake" which is slightly over $1/bottle for 220 calories. There's definitely a lot of options but some of them actually taste pretty good. Technically if you're using it for videos then it's a tax write off, right? For the cost, compare it to how much you spend when you eat out, you probably spent more on those few meals you actually ate than you did on all of the drinks you bought in total. It feels like a lot when you're buying it all at once but it's really not, you're just used to buying it day to day which feels like less but is actually more.

I have an assortment of medical conditions, two of which are vasular compressions(i have wacky anatomy) called SMAS and MALS. They cause a lot of pain anytime I eat or drink, so I have struggled with that for almost my whole life. I am also allergic to wheat, egg, milk, and soy so that complicated things. A year and a half ago, my SMAS became much more severe, and my dudenum(a part of your small intestines) was compressed completely, squeezing it shut to the point that nothing can pass through, making me vomit up anything I ate or drank. I was around 110lbs at 5'7, and dropped to 87lbs. I was hospitalized and got a feeding tube that bypassed the compression and emptied formula(bascially just nutrion shakes) into the next section of my intestines. I am now 102lbs and have not eaten orally for about a year. At the end of this summer, I am getting surgery to fix both my compressions, and I will have to learn how to eat again which will be very interesting.

@GoHerping I'm not sure what genetics has in the cards for you. Look at your parents, your Aunts, Uncles etc and see what they look like, life will catch up at some point. Your metabolism will slow down the older you get. You could always ask a dr to do blood work since you're already dropping a pound. Although, like you said, it could be water weight. Stick to a shake or 2 a day for nutritional purposes, especially if you are not taking supplements but keep eating. The busy like is good but one day you'll slow down with your slower than usual metabolism and boom the weight will collect with no problem.

My son who is autistic he struggles with eating as well. He has two favorite foods he will be excited to eat but that’s it. But if you have insurance and are up for it, try to find eating therapy services for adults. It might help you understand your relationship with food and work through it to feel more secure with foods. My son can finally stand looking at food which is his personal first step. This was 6 months of working hard with him. Eating is very hard when your body doesn’t help you ping hunger cues. It’s a long battle for sure. Good luck with your food journey.

Mine is a “see food” diet too because of literally everything you said. Even if it’s Wendy’s or some cookies, if I’m actually feeling hungry, I’ll eat it when I’m craving it. Part of the other issue, is the less you eat, the less your metabolism responds to hunger/calorie deficits. You’re so used to borderline starving, your body gets anxious at the proposal you’ll feed it normally.

Dang bro were like polar opposites but similar lmao. I'm 5"4" and was 405lbs in 2021, I've lost over 170lbs and gained alot of muscle but I've hit a platuea in weightloss and can't get under 228 while eating 1500 cals a day and training 5 days a week. I'd reccommend getting mass gainer shakes it's one big shake that's like 1200 calories. I really think you should focus on training intensity and volume if you wanna put on size. train at least 4 days a week (preferably more) and train to failure with each set. I reccomend jeff nippard's hypertrophy fundementals training program, it's the one I started out with. Maybe try not goin on bike rides as much too, and I'd say you should be eating no less than 4k cals with 175g of protein to really put on size. But remember those calories are kinda useless if you aren't training hard and frequently. Anyways herpman that's my two cents, keep goin and in 12 months you'll see even more gains and be even stronger. love the new content btw

your body has just found a way to make your current lifestyle its new norm meaning it not going through as much energy like it did when it had an excess of it. you will ALWAYS plateau but that NOT a bad thing. you just have to find a way to knock your body out of equilibrium to get it to use those calories more. that can be done through more rigorous or longer exercise. i will never say to lower food more as that should be done with the help of a health professional. if you go to try and maintain weight that will be the hardest adjustment as thats when u want the body to plateau
@antikiller3994

I don't know how much you cook at home or if you're a good cook at all but for me that helps. Getting to be part of the process for prepping meals makes me more hungry than if I'm going out to eat. There's one meal I could eat every day that's healthy and hardy. Pan seared chicken breast, usually one breast cut into two pieces so it cooks quicker. As much steamed broccoli as I want and fried potatoes and onions. Delicious.

@kantoe1183

@@WeSleepForever91 Maybe it's frustrating because you just aren't good at it. Everything is practice and with a bit of understanding how to cook and how food work together it becomes enjoyable. I used to hate it and I still get really frustrated when I make mistakes, which are rare nowdays but 4 or 5 years ago I constantly over-cooked or used the wrong seasonings with my foods. It also allowed me to find what I like most which is the simple and easy to cook things. Health wise it's also ideal but who said I can't live to be 100 on toast!
@WeSleepForever91
@WeSleepForever91 5 месяцев назад
I'd say I'm average at cooking, not good and not bad. It's actually more the whole process of it I hate. I find it incredibly boring, the time that I'm stuck doing that I could spend doing much more fun things that I actually enjoy so resent it for that (I think that's part of the adhd to be honest cos I can't stand about doing the same thing for ages) and the clean up needed after is the worst. Especially washing the dishes. I hate washing dishes more than anything else in the world
@kantoe1183
@kantoe1183 5 месяцев назад
@@WeSleepForever91 I have adhd. I think you're speaking about autism personally. Also I wash the dishes as I go because there is always down time while cooking, which my ad/hd brain loves doing because it's switching tasks. No one likes cooking then washing 20 dishes. You also likely up more dishes than necessary due to bad planning. If you don't like cooking because you're lazy and don't like doing dishes and instead prefer to play video games try being honest. I dated someone for three years that couldn't cook and wouldn't do dishes because "they hate it more than anything in the world." Ultimately I chalked it up to being lazy or a hyper type of autism and it ultimately ended the relationship. I'm not going to serve chicken tenders and macaroni at my wedding because my partner only eats a select few things. -TLDR I'm not hating, I'm just saying that it seems like you might just be a bit lazy and if that suits your lifestyle so be it.

Keep in mind that you probably gained a lot of water weight from the shakes, so while the number of the scale went up, you most likely only gained a couple real pounds (hence why it started dropping again so quickly, you started losing the water weight) I struggle with the same issue, and I've done (and sometimes still do) exactly what you did in this video with the shakes. I am a similar height and was the same weight. I ended up gaining 20lbs in 4 months and maintained that weight until now, where I'm starting to try and gain again. Consistency really is the key.. you WILL get to where you want to be as long as you keep eating/drinking. Drinking more and eating more also slowly increased my appetite and my ability to eat more, too. I ate between 2700 and 3500 without missing a single day, the longer I went on, the easier it got. TLDR KEEP EATING, DON'T LET THE SCALE FOOL YOU. IF YOU'RE EATING OVER 3000 CALORIES EVERY DAY YOU WILL GAIN WEIGHT. YOU WILL MEET YOUR GOAL. YOU GOT THIS BROTHER. edit: try dextrose powder, it's free calories. I did half GOMAD for awhile too, and that worked wonders. nutricost dextrose is cheap and plentiful, combined with fairlife whole milk and you will not stop gaining weight. I want to see your journey and I want to see you succeed brotha

I have this same problem lol. I was a stick figure- barely 110- all through school and when I joined the military, I gained 20 pounds during training in 3 months and it made me so happy. After training, on my own, I jumped to almost 180 from going to the gym and eating chipotle. I’ve definitely lost most of that weight since then from stress and losing my desire to eat most days, but I think the fact that my days were so full with working out, eating 3x a day, and regular duty really helped me gain all that weight. I’m not so much of a stick figure, but I’m not at all the powerhouse of muscle that I was before. I miss it lol. I just find it so hard to eat. I go through the same thought process when I get food too. I’m gonna get some protein shakes and get back in the gym and hope that’ll get me hungry for food again. I randomly lost 10 pounds and now I’m 148 and it’s killing me. I’m like 5’6 ish, almost 5’7, so I know I’m pretty much a healthy weight, but it all goes to my thighs. I wanna gain some muscle in my arms and back so I don’t look so skinny anymore

What I did when I couldn't gain weight and enjoy food either. I would eat soft calorie dense foods that are easy to get down like sweet potatoes, loaded baked potatoes, eggs, Brazilian nuts (very calorie dense), ice cream as you said. You are not suppose to replace your meals with those drinks not only is that very unhealthy, you just won't gain weight that way. What I did was eat all my meals for the day, get all the calories in I could, then before bed I would drink 2-4 drinks then go to bed. Just increase your calories by 500-1000 per day. But you would have to figure out how many calories you were eating on average per day prior to your weight gain journey. Also I wouldn't do any cardio (all the walking is burning off the calories you're drinking), only weight lifting. Drinking your calories in that way will only cause you to end up looking skinny fat, big belly, skinny arms and legs. I have tons of how to gain weight videos on my channel.

I've had the same issue for years. 6'2" ectomorph who's been floating at 130. Not good. I tried the shakes as well and although they didn't do much to contribute to weight gain, they do seem to make me hungrier throughout the day, almost like they stoke the furnace of hunger. Funny, I've been eating a lot of Five Guys lately too. A bacon cheeseburger and a regular fry is almost 2,000 calories. Not being able to eat enough really sucks when you live an active lifestyle. The fatigue and fight or flight feeling constantly humming in the background can be brutal. Good luck to you, bro. BTW found your channel from Revival Fitness.

My advice as someone who went from 225 (november) to 170 (current) and has lots of experience eating (as is evident by me being 225 prior), I now struggle with a restrictive ED and I don't feel the need to eat nearly as often as I used to, so sometimes I will trigger myself to eat or try to sneak in more cals because it's hard for me to even have 1,000 cals a day (my maintenance is 2,100 ish): - higher cal food with less volume. usually more fatty food, carbs, etc. Since it's low volume, you'll want to eat more of it because you won't get full as easy. I struggle with getting full really fast off low cal foods and then that causes me to feel too sick to eat, and this has really helped. ALSO add more butter to things when you cook, oil too. Or just sauces in general as thats free extra cals right there. - I know you said you quit vaping, so I assume you also don't partake in the 'devils lettuce', so my advice is edibles (specifically ones that trigger your hunger, i forgot what strain it is oopsies). I like to pop an edible an hour before I get something to eat because it makes it easier for me to finish it since I'll actually be hungry. I know a lot of people don't vibe well with this idea because they're anti-mary jane; however, I think this purpose is more medicinal than recreational so I highly recommend it. - carry snacks on you, protein bars, etc. it's great to have something on you for when you do get hungry, because I always get hungry and then it goes away really fast bc im not around food, so if youre the same, having something small on you will be a great solution. - get higher cal alternatives to the food you already have (lots of protein options usually have more cals. this can apply to macaroni, pancake mix, and hella other things that exist.) - find foods that you enjoy and that you dont hate eating, and then meal repeat like its nobodys business. I have autism (shocker) and sometimes I find a perfect food that i love to have often, currently its pretzels, and thats how i tend to get my daily cals met because i know i will actually eat it. That's all my advice at the moment, I know some of its pretty obvious but I hope it helps!

If you like the convenience of the shakes but the cost is too much I’d suggest either making your own mass gainer (pretty simply. Can blend oats, pb, protein powder, etc put it in a container and pour a glass throughout the week) or nuts. Especially nuts during your Amazon shifts. They are super dense in calories and quite nutritious. Pretty easy to mindlessly snack on them in my opinion as well. Eating a handful every hour or so during a shift could easily lead to ≈1000 calories

I was 107lbs. You got this. It's all mental and will take long-term discipline. This is not a weekly challenge. I'm one year into consistently tracking food / eating more than I want / working out 6 days a week and I am now 145lbs. The funny thing is, in the first 5ish months I gained 30lbs from mass gainers. Don't make the mistake I did, and in this video, you are making the mistake, you are overeating. I gained pretty much all fat and had to actually go on a diet to lose it, and I am now 145lbs much leaner than 6 months ago. I'm gaining weight and trying to get to 155 only eating 2.8k calories at 5' 7. Don't have such extreme goals. You'll gain weight at 3,000 calories, and ask yourself how long have you consistently eaten 3,000 calories a day for? You're too focused on the short term, I made all these mistakes trying to gain weight. Be consistent

Fat people start enjoying travelling, adventures, movement, sport. Try fishing and eat what you catch, and you will be skinny. Stop counting calories burned, enjoy the journey and exploration. Enjoy your body moving, and enjoy food, love people. Sleep good, breath deeply.

The only piece of advice I can think of is to try n cook more at home, and cut out "toppings". Things like lettuce are going to take up space for very little to no calories. Instead try getting nuts n legumes in since they are nutritious and can be a good source of calories as snacks/sides respectively. For your greens you want to aim for the ones that have a bit more fat in them and get some fiber in to help with digestion but not too much because then you can get bloated or even constipated. Stay away from potatoes because they are notorious for making you feel full for a long time. I would suggest incorporating avocados, since they are supremely nutritious and a good source of healthy fats (remember, fat is the most calorie dense macro), also get some salmon in if possible every now n then, seared in some oil for huge protein and nutrient gains + added calories from the oil. I'm no nutritionist or professional so anyone pls correct any of my points if im wrong. Hope I was able to help c: Edit: this only really applies if your issue is getting full and just minmaxing calorie for volume. I kinda got that you have appetite issues and you should prob see a doctor if you haven't already to get some professional aid. It's okay to see healthcare professionals when you can c:

The biggest thing that has helped me to go up in weight is smoothies loaded full of calories. I have like 3 tablespoons worth of peanut butter, some other nuts, multiple bananas together with strawberries, blueberries, spinach and olive oil. My rough calorie estimate for it is 1400, but it's probably more. I think it has the same volume as about two of your drinks or about 1 liter, and it tastes great to the point that I crave it most days. I've always been small and my biggest issue was also eating enough to go up in weight. I noticed that after some weeks to maybe a month or two of overeating my body started to need that amount of food. I never used to get hungry, just like you, and recently I was so hungry I was in pain. I've gone up from 69kg to 79kg in 100 days.

Damn, you're making me realize that I have it easy in this manner: I can eat until I'm almost sick or beyond. I could literally drink 4 or 5 of those high calorie shakes in a row, no problem. I mean, I'm a big person (6'4" and 240 lb at about 24% bodyfat), so maybe my biology or whatever just enjoys eating big ass amounts of food. Probably my single, favorite thing for breakfast is a big bowl of old fashioned (steel rolled) oats with 2 big spoons of peanut butter, a full spoon of cinnamon and about 1 full spoon of honey. It's delicious and helps make me feel great the whole day. Some folks complain that oats make their stomach feel too full or, like a big, solid thing is stuck in their stomach. I like this "full" feeling. It helps me feel better throughout the whole day. Realistically, the oats and a few other things probably helped me gain from 180 (18 years old out of high school) to 240 (over 25 years old). It's insane how I increased from 180 to 240 without doing much. All I did was eat more: 3 or more meals every day, and I ate until I was "full" each time. Also, you're a different person from me (obvious, right?) so you might have preferences towards other foods than PB-honey-cinnamon oats. The last few months, I've eating about 5 eggs, a protein shake, and a whole grain cereal (with a little more protein powder mixed into the cereal) with milk. These three added together are about 100 grams of protein. I eat this before 12pm so I can get on track to eating 200g protein daily. Thats my main goal. I aim for the protein goal first, whole veggies & whole fruits & whole grains second, creatine & water & caffeine third... I track what I eat carefully with an app. I'm also aiming for over 3000 calories daily. Tbh, I haven't gained weight while strength training on Stronglifts 5x5. I've gotten a lot stronger and my aesthetics are improving. My goal is to squat 480 for reps, bench 240 for reps, and deadlift 600 for reps by Aug 2025. That's the two year mark for me. I think it's possible if I'm highly consistent and push myself hard enough. Perhaps I won't achieve deadlifting 600 for reps, but I'll be happy in the high 400s to mid 500s. That would be awesome. There's no way I could look the same as I do now (not bad, but could be better) if I'm deadlifting almost 600 or beyond. 😅 I hope it gets easier for you! Dunno if it will. Maybe there's medicine that makes someone hungrier?! I never heard of medicine like that, but maybe it could help you. For real. I mean this in an honest way. Anyhow, good luck with the fitness programming and lifestyle changes. I really do hope for the best for upu and everyone. I think we're all gonna make it.

As someone with the same problem and same name haha, I have to say it gets much easier. Also, I personally weigh myself like once every two months, because while it can be motivating to see weight gain, it would crush my spirits after not gaining or even losing weight. Eat about 95% of what you realistically can (I overdid it sometimes and would actually injure my stomach somehow) and just ignore the scale. Much love!!

hey, I used to struggle with gaining weight like you do. If you cant afford those protein shakes there is two cheaper alternatives: 1 (cheapest): Buy oats and grind them, add some protein powder or grinded nuts, put them in a shaker with milks 2: Buy instant oats (pretty much oat powder which doesnt clump up in the milk) and some protein powder and mix it in a shaker with milk. So normal oats clump up in the milk and are harder to drink but way cheaper than instant oats. I used to do following shake to hit about 1000kcal in 2mins of drinking time: - 140g of Instant oats - 30g of Protein powder (also for the flavour) - 500g of 3.5% fat milk (the more fat the more calories) This should be alot cheaper than the pre bought shakes but requires some more effort since you got to always prepare the powder. (Btw if you are trying this: Dont try to mix the grinded oats with milk for later, after like 5min its undrinkable, however with the instant oats this shouldnt happen) I also struggled with apetite / no hunger but if you keep habits of eating on a regular schedule (always at the same time) your body will adjust to it and demand the calories at that time -> you get hungry. So its pretty much about being consistent. I would suggest that you always eat at the same time and start with some calorie-count that you can maintain EVERY single day. and then up it by 50-100kcal every week. another bonus to the shake described above is you can pretty much start with a lower amount of it and then up it every week, increasing your calorie intake every week therefore. Hope this helps, anyway good video!

Just drink a gallon or 1/2 gallon of whole milk and supplement it with a high protein diet. It's much easier to maintain and cheaper than drinking meal replacement shakes. Stay away from soda and empty calories, just drink milk and eat whole foods (e.g. chicken breast, steak, eggs, vegetables).
@yeeyee5984
@yeeyee5984 4 месяца назад
I kind of see my past self in this, so I just can't help but share my approach, as I've gone down the same route before. You're somewhat on the right track. 2700 calories for maintenance sounds about right given the amount of activity you do. Eating around 2900-3100 calories is a reasonable estimate, and going over that would likely result in unnecessary fat gains. This, of course, assumes you stay around 10k steps a day. Your goal should be to aim for an increase of around 0.4 - 0.5 lbs per week; anything more than that isn't beneficial if your aim is to gain muscle and not fat. Just make sure not to rush it and be consistent. Really try to figure out how many calories you need to gain around 0.4 - 0.5 lbs a week, and you'll get there. One more important thing is to find a way to eat that you wouldn't mind doing for the rest of your life; making it sustainable is essential. I often just eat a few slices of bread with peanut butter for breakfast and lunch since that's an easy way to get calories in. You could also buy the cheap soy milk for a dollar or so and get another 400 calories from drinking a liter of that. Doing this in a somewhat healthy way really shouldn't cost much. I only spend about $25 a week to get about 2700 calories a day. Anyway, good luck man. I hope you figure out good eating habits that work well for you without having to go to extremes.

A very bro science way of explaining it is your body is constantly in survival mode. Somewhere in the beginning you made a habit of not eating. Your bodies response was to produce more leptin (hormone that regulates satiation) and/or suppress ghrelin (hormone that tells you you’re hungry). The odd thing you’re experiencing is you forcing calories and your body responding by regulating the hunger hormones. So it’s going to seem like the more you eat the hungrier you get because your metabolism is kicking on. I’m the same way but I will say not as bad. Usually I under eat for a few days because I’m not hungry in the moment and accrue a hunger debt that 4th day roughly and eat a normal amount or even more. The thing is if you’re like me you’ll slip into the habit of not eating and your body will be quick to put you back in survival mode

The plateau in weight at the end is normal. It usually takes months to gain weight in muscle (about a 1-3 months per 5 pounds of muscle from my experience). If you can sustain a surplus like this, you will definitely see results. Muscle building is a longform activity, so one needs to think on a longer scale. "Could you do this routine forever?" is a good question to ask yourself when it comes to this, because that way you will know if you can sustain it consistently in order to reach your goals. Its really inspiring to see this sort of video coming from you. I remember back when I was a kid, before I started bodybuilding, watching some of your videos on reptiles. The variety and evolution on this channel here is really cool. Good luck.

She hates eating a lot of the times, she started going to the gym and she got abs so fast, but still wouldn't eat, and I started going to the gym too and lost 7kg in about two months, but neither of us could mantain because of E.Ds we always fall back to our terrible habits. But that's something both of us want to surpass, the struggle with bad habits and gaining/losing weight. Also, even though she doesn't like to eat much, and I really like to eat, both of us can eat the same exact thing basically forever and never get sick of (unless suddenly texture sucks and we have to change it, but never because of taste), so we also aren't beating the 'tism allegations lol

so if your resting metabolic rate is 2700, coupled with 10k steps a day + exercise. you are burning roughly 3500-3700 calories a day, which is probably why you are gaining weight on 4000-4200 calories yet losing on 3000. you probably need about 4500 a day starting to continue to gain weight and eventually 5000 a day after that. if you do about 3 days of no activity, you can probably gain 1-2 pounds a week but youd have to sit there and be lazy (which doesnt seem like you lol). this is just a rough estimate and a theory
