@@SeekingParadiseBugs the health system is not quite that way ,if you don't meet the means testing requirements for a medical card you have to pay for doctors visits and hospital stays though insurance will cover that but not doctors visits which are 50 euro at a time.
@@SeekingParadiseBugs Metrolink is currently in the final stage of planning and due to begin construction sometime around the end of the year or early next year. Dont hold your breath though it will take at least 5 years to build. They are however expanding the Dart network to the west of the city under a scheme known as Dart+West/Southwest and that will be completed much sooner as its just upgrading existing lines. Thats means a suburban train every 15 minutes so a pretty good service. Worth keeping in mind when buying a property.
Hi! This was wonderful and the timing couldn’t be more perfect! My husband and I just retired and we are on the global search for our forever home with our Golden Retriever. We are going to start with Dublin. I know you didn’t have your pups with you on your visit, but did it seem dog-friendly? Thanks for all your information! I will be spreading the word about your channel!
Congratulations on retirement! We definitely saw many people walking with dogs and through the parks. In general, all the places we've traveled in Europe are dog friendly. Safe travels and best of luck in your search! Let us know what you think about Ireland.
You had me at "Everyone speaks English," but then you lost me at "So much rain..."" but then you had me at "Super friendly people..." but you lost me at "Everyone loves whiskey..." Hmmmm... A tough one, for sure. Still, a beautiful place worthy of a visit and consideration - maybe just during the Summer though. :)
Thanks so much! 😊 We have a video from Benalmádena, Spain with what we've learned so far about taxes and new construction that we'll be posting in the next couple of months.
