Once the walls are done and seen in daylight I can see the slight green tint which goes so well with the bookshelves. This takes me back to all the updates we did on our little Cape Cod house in upstate NY when we were young marrieds. Sanding down hardwood oak or maple floors -- I forget which they were but they were super gorgeous when finished. I love the traditional light sconses. Lovely. The dogs say, at last you let us in the room. They are watching you move in the furniture. So like our cats. The ticking stripe on the chairs works well with the pale toned throw pillows and the curtains! Brilliant redo and you both worked so hard. It is a smaller room so smaller furniture is in keeping with the scale of the room.

Gorgeous! The furniture style is in keeping with the style of the cottage. The curtains pattern , lovely. Love Samsung frame tv, otherwise it would be a blight on such a handsome room. The wall sconces are beautiful. Perhaps hanging the mirror vertically and placing a small gallery over the sofa with mixture of multiple mirrors or/and botanicals to pick up on the curtain pattern. (It would take away the horizontal repeat of the tv) It is a beautiful, timeless home. Congratulations on your marriage, you are a lovely couple.

I kept thinking you were going to go for farrow and ball's setting plaster whenever you commented how beautiful the raw plaster colour was. The lights are very lovely, think it was definitely worth it to go for quality as it sets the whole standard for the room, and this room deserves to be quality. Based on your inspiration pins I would say the biggest difference is plain rather than layered print fabric, lots of room for evolution over the decades as you enjoy your house.

Madelaine the pattern on the living room curtain fabric is a pincushion Hakea an Australian native bush. They are so pretty. The fabric colours represents the hues you see in the Australian Bush..I hope this is helpful. I really love your tire less work in the living room re Harding the recessed shelving .

Don’t you wish you could do time lapse in real life to make the effort that is required to do such an epic transformation a little less dire? The energy that the two of you have put into your cottage renovation projects is inspiring! Love the fabric of the curtains and how you have mixed the patterns of your throw cushions and your chairs. Also, adore the frame TV. I too detest necessary tech actually showing and the Samsung frame TV is the perfect solution along with the “art work” you have chosen. It also reflects satisfyingly in the mirror over your chesterfield. Your room has changed from being “soulless” to “soulful”. I enjoyed seeing the whole transition from beginning to end. Maddie and Alex. You have worked so hard ...and all hard work pays off...said it many times on here ...like when you did your kitchen. And even your first home.. extremely happy for you. And it's a true labour of love...love the print on the curtains. The furniture... My only one advice. From my father who was a French Cabinet maker. Where the table is in front of your radiator... If it get hot on the wood. It can cause it to warp...or dry the wood out...also seen this on antiques roadshow...when furniture has been brought in for values.. But it's a credit to you both. Awesome.
