You are set apart by God for a purpose, sis. In today's video, we are unpacking the challenges (and beauty) that comes from a season of being hidden and learning how to recognize God's unexpected provision in these seasons. From 1 Kings 17, we get to see that seasons of hiddenness usually are accompanied by a certain amount of struggle and strain. In that, we can have the tendency to have a harder time seeing God's hand but sis, know that God is with you and that this season holds purpose and beauty too - if only we train our eyes to see it. i hope you enjoy. love you!!

happy Monday, sis! let's chat ♥ today's question = it's TESTIMONY time! tell us how God has provided for you (unexpectedly)? for me: i think when we really stop to think about it, everyday there is a testimony of God's provision. a small one that i can think of that happened last week was when our car broke down. it was right before i had to go pick Zoë up from school (she goes to a pre-k program a few days a week) and they don't play about us being late! in a span of 5 minutes, after being alone a charger station with the car glitching, another driver comes up and is able to help me reset the car. once we realized it wasn't going to be drivable, i called an uber and got the NICEST driver who waited for me as I ran in and picked up my daughter and took us back to the car. from there i called the support folks for the car and they immediately sent us Uber credits to get home and scheduled a rental for us and got us a tow truck. tbh, it was quite stressful because Z was over tired and over tired toddlers are NOT their best selves, IYKYK🤪 but God sent the kindest, most helpful people in a sucky situation. even though i wish the car hadn't broke down, I could see His hand and care.

I thank God for the enough, I been working a minimal job for the past couples of year after graduating college due to certain limitations but thank God am not in need, my bills are paid, food on my table and all the necessities been taken care to which I can also give back🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉All Glory to him for always providing for me in the way he sees...HALLELUJAH fit..HALLELUJAH..

I had a similar situation this past Friday. I had been needing new wheels for my car for like two months , and I finally got them that Friday. Literally, that night a huge pipe flew off the back of a truck and hit my front tire resulting in an a blowout on a busy interstate at night. I was so speechless of how God protection was displayed right before my eyes. I could’ve lost my car or even worse so I know God’s protection was over my life. I’m so grateful and thankful!

God just allowed me to get a job offer within 90 mins of the interview. The offer was 20k more than I expected and they gave me what I asked for. This was after a month at my current job and being miserable to the point of depression. It’s hard to explain it all here. But staying in the pruning season and in obedience IS WORTH IT!

God help me. I’m struggling to take care of my children. Both of my sons are special needs and require so much from me. I struggle providing the necessities for them, especially now that school has started. Lord Jesus I’m overwhelmed as a single mother. Please hear my prayers. Lord give your daughter your supernatural strength to care for the blessings you've entrusted to her. Send resources her way Lord that will help ease her load. Help her to call on your name and not lean on her own strength. I pray she receives wisdom to know where to focus as she manages the needs of two children who have special needs. Remind her she is their mother because you've given her every tool she needs. Pull out of her what you know about her that she does not know or see of herself. Hear us as we partner in prayer with her. In Jesus name.

Sooo I was in a season where I was struggling mentally emotionally. I’m married and I was struggling with some things in my marriage. I often went to people who although I trusted not to share my business (which they didn’t that I know of) God gave me instruction to NOT vent to anyone or tell ANYONE what was going on with me. During my time of silence God almost immediately turned EVERYTHING around for me. He allowed me to see how I needed to completely lean on him for peace and to seek Him first before telling my circle of friends or family. Let me encourage you that your situation could be only for you to know about or endure with God and God alone. He could be trying to reveal something in your “hidden” season! God bless.

Hi Katelyn: Could you share a bit more about this process. Currently struggling and my minister emails me once a week to check on me and I dont want to share the depressing details of my life. This season is emo/mentally rough and I dont see the silver lining. Ive fasted. I started obeying my calling. But Im still stuck in an environment that is not good for me and the Creator is the only one who can provide an immediate miracle to shift things…How did you know your season was starting to shift? How did you maintain faith?

@@YasmineM80 Hello! 👋🏽 wonderful questions. I wish I had scripture to give but all I can give is my testimony. I was struggling emotionally because it seemed as though my environment wasn’t matching with what God had promised. The complete opposite exactly. The devil saw I began to question and doubt God in frustration and he filled my head with lies that didn’t align with God’s truth in his word. The individuals I would share my thoughts and feelings with didn’t quite “get it” although their intentions were good it wasn’t enough because it was solution based and I knew that as friends they wanted to help me by fixing the problem to make things “better” but I was completely broken. Looking back, that’s where God wanted me. It actually took something drastic to happen to cause me to shift SO that God could THEN shift my situation. The opportunity to vent to my circle of friends came again and God would not let me tell them or anyone else anything. It was as if God alone needed my attention. He tugged and tugged and I gave in and told them that I couldn’t share what was going on and that God needed me to keep it between us. They didn’t understand but they respected my boundaries. So in short I shifted, God stepped in, and then the issues I had in my family/ marriage HE worked out for His Glory. All in faith. In your prayer time and time of consecration, listen to what God is saying regarding the environment that you are currently stuck in. Maybe there’s an assignment attached to that environment if so, God will give you instruction on how to be successful in that assignment. Also, maybe you will have to fast from communicating with people about your situation. Not because they are bad people but because maybe God needs your ear. Maybe it’s time to do something out of the norm in faith. Idk your situation but I pray that God reveals himself to you during your tough times. Keep the faith, stay in prayer constantly! Even when you aren’t “feeling” it. Ask God questions! He’s our father and in every relationship you ask your person questions! Praying for an immediate shift in your life in Jesus name.

@@katelynransey8231 Thank you so very much for elaborating. I appreciate your testimony so much. I have been chatting with my aunts over the summer re: my situation, and only recently decided to stop. In June, something told me I would be moving this year but couldn’t figure out how due to lack of funds. Then, a particular city started popping up on my radar that month, that’s outside of America. It’s been popping up every week since and I haven’t shared that city with my aunts because I know they don’t want me to leave the country. However, from a biblical pov, this city makes sense for a move because in July, I obeyed the calling I had been running away from thanks to a pastor who held me accountable. It was also in July that something told me to pack but it made no sense. I started working on the website for the new project (for the calling I ran away from) in August and in early September, I received two surprising financial blessings from two family members. The amount I received on 9/1 & 9/5 felt like a wink from the Father. This week, my heart has been very heavy because it feels like I’m going crazy. My environment is not conducive to my emotional and spiritual health or growth. I am on the very last leg of finishing my website and I am no longer motivated to do so…lots of resistance and I started praying about this yesterday. I feel like the Creator can change this situation quickly and after 2 years of being here, I am officially starting to feel hopeless and weary. I pray every day plus also listen to sermons on YT daily. The nudge to “pack” in July makes me feel like I’ve gone off the deep end, as nothing is happening in the natural. Anyhow, all this to note, your testimony gave me hope this afternoon - seriously appreciated and thank you for the prayer.

I am healthy, have a roof over my head, food in my plate. My siblings and I were finally reunited with our mother after two decades of physical separation. It is such a blessing and a highlight of this year. Although I still struggle in some areas of my life, I know that God is faithful, never stops providing, and is definitely at work even when I cannot see it.

God has provided for me despite not working since Nov when I quit my job after over a year of preparation with God. Have been living off of savings and faith and God has provided on top. Have truly experienced Him as Jehovah Jireh.

God has provisioned me by putting me in a situation where I’m away from my family….but it’s giving me a LARGE amount of time to focus on him, my studies and my other personal goals that I may not be able to achieve if I was around my family as much b/c I’d rather spend my time with them. But he knows my heart and he knows what I’m working towards…so while I make not like to solitude and distance. He’s provisioned me to stay focused. He’s working through me so that I can become the man of God, leader, and provider that I aspire to be.

God spared my life twice, one from a car accident where I hit an embankment and totaled my car and the other, save my life from an unexpected bilateral pulmonary embolism. And now I am faithfully here to serve him, when I should have been not here. Also one more thing. When I became misplaced, I prayed for just my own toilet and he blessed my with a totally refurbished two bedroom apartment and my rent is at a minimum 😢🙏🏽. That’s God. 😊

I am experiencing God provision for food daily. It’s challenging because I’m an able body person but while living in this hotel room I’ve seen Him do miracles. I also have peace that surpass all understanding. Thank you for confirmation today 🙏🏽

One way God has provided for me has to be… I was living with my mom and wanted to move out, but couldn’t find a place. All of a sudden my mom say she was moving out and I can have the apt for cheaper than any other place I could find. God’s plan is always the best plan.

I am in school studying to get my doctorate degree, and when I first started four years ago, I was anxious about how I would get through the school. God has been so faithful in bringing me friends to study with and bounce ideas off of. Every single semester, the Lord has shown up even when I doubted if I would pass! He has been so faithful even when I didn't have enough faith!

Bless the LORD! Truly this was needed for me (as well as many others) today. I’m in such a weird place BUT one thing that is confirmed & consistent is the Lord’s telling me to be STILL & move one day at a time. This has been terribly frustrating as it feels I can’t plan for anything. I gotta do it His way! Thanks sista in the Lord! Testimony: one way The Lord provided for me was years ago I was unemployed and did not know how I would pay any of my bills (including rent). I pressed & went to church and sang on the praise team…after service a church family member told me the Lord placed me on his heart to bless financially. Long story short, I got a blank check! I only used what I needed ! The Lord TRULY is faithful!! HALLELUJAH!!

I enjoy your videos. I usually don’t comment, but I just felt moved to share and hopefully my story encourages you when you’re “waiting season” season. My husband and I were struggling with fertility. Unfortunately, we suffered three back-to-back miscarriages,But glory to God we delivered a beautiful healthy baby girl last year ❤. So I just want to say to anyone reading this that God has a plan for you and that plan is always good even if it doesn’t feel good. And may you have the glory and your rainbow after the storm. One thing I remembered during my season of waiting was to never lose my praise even during those painful dark moments I still had to lean on God and hold on his love for me and the fact that I’m here and I’m alive and I’m loved . so just know that you are loved as well. God helped me to focus on him in my times of feeling overwhelmed,lonely or isolated rather than on my circumstances. Before I was always wrapped up in how i felt, which led to depression and anxiety, but in seeking him, I now feel encouraged,strengthened and comforted. Grateful for his provision

My 81 year old mom and I live together. A couple of years ago she had to step into full time transporter for me (to & from cancer treatments & specialty doctor appointments). She was adamant about being with me at every single appointment. I made it thru it all and have been cancer free for one full year. I thank God for covering us both, especially her. Nothing nothing like a mother’s love 💕.

God provided for me by saving my son.He was born 06/04/2024 with an intestinal obstruction.He had surgery before he was even 1 day old.Another surgery 3 days later. Not only did he save his life he also paid the whole half a million of medical bills that we acquired in his one month hospital stay. He provided a shelter for my husband and 2 kids to stay at and free food though Ronald McDonald so we could all be close to the hospital.

God has provided for me in the following ways: 1) puts thoughts in my spirit that help me solve situations I'm in 2) if my budget fails me, he's right there with an alternate source 3) places people in my path who encourages me and strengthen my faith while I'm being hidden I'm starting to see his provision more and more and my worry is becoming less and less. God provided me this week by listening to my prayer! Last week was a roller coaster of feelings due to colleges and financial problems. I prayed for some financial support and I was giving financial aid that covers almost all my tuition! I can say God will change your life and whatever circumstance you’re in!

I had a 48 shut off for PGE and someone paid it , no one knew about it but the Lord , true provision ! And also similar situation on Friday right when I had to pick the kids up from school the tire was completely flat , my parents were supposed to to be out of town but called my mom and “she just so happened” (God time) to be near my sons school already and picked him up for me .. road side assistance normally takes forever but was 40 minutes before the ETA when placing the request for them to change the tire , was able to simply seal the tire (ran over a big nail) and pick up my other son 🙌🏾 .. Only the Lord put that together and he helped me the whole way through it was an amazing reminder he knows what I need when I need it and he knows how to provide it .. this season as I am trusting God after he told me to resign (7/23/23) these are the stones I am adding to remind me of the Lords faithfulness ❤️

thank you so much melody for this video because i am definetly in an isolation period! and even though it started in the most crazy way i can honestly look back and say thank you God! espically because his provision hasn’t really been one i can physically see just yet! but he’s provided so much for me internally in this season by pruning away and isolating me he has opened my eyes and provided me with peace i could helping me to put up healthy boundaries, and most espically helped me to release and let go of things that are no longer serving me and letting me know that he is truly the only one i need and that im complete in him and so im grateful! thank you for this video!

This video really did help me realize that God is telling me I need some more preparation for what's to come next! I released a song back in 2021 and I (as a 21 year old) was so ready for everything to start picking up. I my very first gig singing the national anthem, I got my very first online interview, my song played on a college radio station. With all of this exciting stuff happening all at once it felt like everything fell silent. I had to cancel 2 of my gigs, my family and I started to struggle financially, and especially with Covid taking over, my mental health suffered horribly. 3 years later and I now have an unbreakable relationship with God. I still write music, but just like the ravens in the story, I am fed lyrics by God in his timing. I am still pruning in this isolation, and I guess I hadn't realized that until I watched this video. God is truly amazing! 🧡

Started a journey in my career that is above my budget or let's say i don't even have the financial capacity to go on. But God has provided and funded this journey at every stage of my trip. Lady year on my journey, i went into depression worrying about what next and how to feed or survive. And God keeps showing up and providing my daily bread at every stage when needed. words can't even define it. Logic people will say i live a careless life without any safe financial net but God's miracle beats logic and i am in awe of his love for me.

I had seen the notification, and watched halfway, but today after asking God to show me what He means by saying, "..if you remain in this land.." from Jeremiah 42, I received the email "You're set apart.." and immediately came to watch the YT upload. Though I’m in a very hard situation with having to move from one Airbnb to another, God hasn’t left me in providing me with food, water, and other necessities. Even my job was a blessing, where I work remote so I’m still able to work despite not having a stable roof over my head 🙏🏾 It’s hard following along when all He says is to trust Him, but I know I’m learning more of His character during this process.

So, I had saved $10k for when I graduated from college, but I basically blew through that in a matter of months. After graduation, I moved home with my parents and had no money of my own. So I started looking for a job, and nothing really stuck in the search. One day, my sister told me about substitute teaching and God blessed me with a substitute teaching job as well as a permanent position with more pay (all within a 2 month period)! So I applied in February 2023 and started working in March 2023! Becoming a sub has taken people 10 months - 1 year and becoming a permanent sub takes even longer! But God blessed me with the position within 3 days of starting as a substitute teacher. I am so grateful and thankful to God for blessing me when I was really down, and He did it with such speed too! I was able to buy my own car for the first time as well…one thing God is gonna do is provide! Praise the Lord!!

One way God has provided this week. Was when I was on my last and i needed groceries I prayed that what I needed wouldn’t go beyond what I had in my hand. And it didn’t. Then out of nowhere I was asked to dog sit as was paid way more than I expected which put gas in my car. Lord God I thank you.

Answering of my prayers: my mother was in her late 30's when I was born. I prayed that she would get to see one of my children. Not only did she get to see them they were in high school when she passed. There's 10 years and 15 years between my sibling and I. In middle school WAY BEFORE I THOUGHT ABOUT having children. That my children would have a close relationship with one another. They are closer than twins. Sickening!😂😂🤣🤣 I asked God for my husband to provide for our family like his daddy did. God has EXCEEDED anything I could ever imagine. Materialist God has allowed me to have a job that I love and He uses to channel His provisions through. We have a house and a few vehicles to drive. Health, I am not in the best of health but I am not in the worst of health either. God's provisions has literal blown my mind over and over again. Thank You Father GOD for all You have done!!!

This was SO good! Thank you for sharing. After my change of life in 2020 (divorce due to my marriage being dishonored) God blessed me and my sons and I transferred my job over 500 miles. Since a recent relationship ended, God impressed upon me to hide in him and cocoon in June. Honestly I didn’t comply initially, the moment I got fully on board I had an experience with Father God like NO other. I know from my move and the blessings me and my two sons have experienced he is definitely ordering our steps and we are fully listening. Is this hidden season my preference no, but I’ve embraced it and the blessings have been boundless. I know when my season is complete it will be new beginnings. As when God closes one season another begins.

God provided the job that I have now. while I was getting my associates degree in the last year I quit a job (3years working there) that was not serving me anymore and I couldn’t find a stable job for awhile. I was told to find a job in a preschool by those around me although I wasn’t sure I applied to this place and given an interview( March) but wasn’t hired so I decided to take the last two months I’ve had of school and just study and focus to get my degree. I graduated got my associates degree and a week after graduating I got a call, from the preschool I applied to (in May two months later) and they asked me if I was still interested, ofc I took the job. Im now the youngest lead teacher in my school & I’ve been able to receive a scholarship due to working at a preschool to pay for my bachelors degree. I forget how much God has given me when I’m in a season of stagnation & it feels like the days are mundane but I know this is a time of preparation.

I lost my job a month ago and God hasn’t left my side since! I feel him more in this season and he shows me everyday that he will provide all of my NEEDS! I trust him and his timing! Resources have been coming from every direction and in a gentle whisper I often hear him say, Will you trust me?❤

God has provided for me during not just physically/ physical thing but has restored me mentally, given me the strength and power, endurance, authority, and joy to continue while being in school trying to balance it all. I lost my job in June and everyday God has given me food and provided everything I need. He has given me this time to focus on drawing closer to Him and school. I was worried that my parents would be upset about me not looking for a job bc God told me to wait (and they’re not believers yet so they don’t quite understand), but they haven’t said much. God has been taking care of me so I don’t have to ask them for anything much often. I’m just trying to be positive and not worry if I’m doing something wrong or figure out what my next steps are when I just need to be here.

I was struggling for a season, after being stable for so long, out of my own disobedience. I wasn’t patient on the Lord & disobeyed his instructions to stay @ my position, so I struggled. Could’ve lost EVERYTHING, literally! But I realized I was disobedient in so many aspects, I repented & asked the Lord for guidance & strength to be obedient. He provided everyyy time! Even if I had $2 left to my name, I had just enough to make it by & catch up on everything. Ever since, I’ve grown so much closer to him & matured so much, spiritually. (Not only due to finances but I was falling into other sins, overall avoiding God- not a feeling I ever want to feel again!)

Wow sis, I can so relate to this. I too was disobedier to God when he told me to stay but I left that job and now I have/about to lose everything. I am struggling to stay strong but he is strengthening me, I feel so much closer to him as well. I finally know what it means to call him Abba. I was behind on my car for weeks, but I was resting in God’s will so I had such a peace. I was saying, Lord if it’s meant for me to have this car I know nothing or no one can come between that, let your will be done! & although they shoulda beennn repo’d it😂 they didn’t & I was able to catch up! There was a few times I literally made just enough $$ to pay my light bill 2-3 hours RIGHT before it would get disconnected😭 Literally was about to spend my last $30 on small groceries, & a stranger would pay for me! Had to push back my kids start date of school bc I couldn’t get them uniforms, my neighbor upstairs gave them clothes! Just resting in God’s will, being obedient to him & trusting him gave me such a peace, despite the physical struggle. (I’m also a single mom of 2) His GRACE is sufficient, I have eternal life with him, even if he were to strip me of everything, as long as I have his grace I KNOW he will provide 🥹🙏 I always refer back to the story of Abraham & Matthew 6:33, seek HIS righteousness, not my own, not dwelling or worrying about materialistic things that can perish but instead HIS eternal kingdom, & HE WILL PROVIDE EVERYTHING I NEED (not want😭)! He’s a faithful, merciful God🙏 Jevoh Jireh, God will provide 🙏 (Sorry I know this was super long😂)

So I moved to Canada for school 2 years ago and I've made some friends but they aren't Christian and so it was hard for me to really have people to discus my faith with and the Lord did provide!! I attend an online Church and they started some online small groups and i was hesitant at first but I did join one and the group couldn't be any more perfect for me. i finally have a group of ladies to talk to about any and everything and grow in the Lord with and it has been such a blessing in the hidden season I feel like the Lord has me in. I'm so grateful He blessed me and provided a safe space with other believers to help grow in my faith!

It’s hard to find a beginning to share with what God has done unexpectedly…I believe the most recent way God has provided for me, is he allowed me to speak life to my cousin and I wasn’t fasting and I always equated fasting to more power in Christ but this particularly moment, my words were few and my text seem like the normal encouragement I give on the daily, but in this moment my cousin was in tears and was so grateful I texted her, so God provided an increase of faith for me. I didn’t gain anything physically but spiritually I was full just by that one moment because I feel so inadequate at times especially on social media platforms, but this video has given me confirmation and confidence to move forward where I am, I don’t have to wait to be.. I already am …in Christ Jesus.

In this season of stillness, God provided me with a best friend who loves Him SO much and the love she has flowed over into my life. It made me desire to have such a deep, expectant, intimate love with Him (and made me realise I’d been running away from it because I was trying to be ‘good enough’ first). God is such a loving Father, and now I also know Jesus as a kind and sweet bridegroom, and the Holy Spirit as a trustworthy friend ❤

After (uk) college, I didn't know what to do but I was adamant that I wasn't going to uni, however, God had other plans. I ended up going to uni last minute but it's been some of the best experiences of life. I've learnt both my subject and life, grown, met so many people some who are now my closest friends and I'm involved many societies including the Christian Union. There have been ups and downs but God has always been there for me, guiding and lifting me up. Now I'm in my final year and excited for what's in store.

Abba provided for me recently by making a way for me to get a distinction in a academical test were I had written a test of which I was not confident about because I didn't fully understand the topic even though I had put in all the effort to study I was just struggling to understand that particular topic and by His glory He came through for.Abba is faithful and He truly does not fail and when we put our trust in Him,He makes a way .God be the glory now and for ever.❤

God's provision came through allowing circumstances at my former job to get so uncomfortable that I had to resign. I did so without another job offer lined up. Then He orchestrated circumstances to nudge me to migrate from Jamaica to the states. I am with my parents and taking a month to get into the word and spiritually recenter. My previous job drained so much of my time and energy that I lost focus on Him. This season is like jumping from stone to stone to cross a river. I trust that even if I fall in, He promised He won't let me drown.

When I enrolled for my Honours and Masters I did not even know how I was going to pay my fees but I believed God will make a way and indeed He did. My fees were paid up and not in a manner I would have even imagined❤ Indeed Gods provision doesn’t always look the way we think it should

God told me to move away from family and now here i am 5hrs away from my home in a completely different city just my son and i and let me tell you i have been instructed to sit still and take in all the peace i now have. While waiting on a promotion, The Lord continued to encourage me and show me the power of having faith and belief in Him and His word. My testimony is not really "my" but i feel it's one of God's manifestations and provisions . This whole year, God has enabled me to provide for my family. I come from a family that is not well off. It's only me and my brother who are actually working and getting fair salary(though it's still not enough). He has a wife and kid, so the pressure doubles . We end up with so many things to settle at home with the rest of the family and it leaves us with almost nothing for ourselves. I personally deeply resented this when i see girls my age, growing and developing, but i have nothing to show that is mine. Anyways this is not a rant but rather a testimony because if not for this job, my family would be starving.
