In the fourth week of our series, The Paradox of Purpose we learned about the dreams that Joseph had and the impact those dreams had on his life. It wasn’t what he expected and some of the people he thought would be there for him weren’t, but Pastor Charles taught us that as long as you are faithful; favor will follow you! I didn't know how important our purpose is until I started watching this series. I want know when God is calling me, I want to know my purpose. But I am also scared. I am the oldest in an African Family and I am female which is worse because I have to have the best Job and be able to provide for myself otherwise I will mess up the family name and my younger siblings. I have this pressure to be the best so my younger siblings could follow in my footsteps. I am studying a really good course in Varsity right now to get me that dream job. BUT I don't know if that's my way. I don't want to tarnish my family name and I don't want my siblings to think any less of me. I have been the obedient child where my parents choose my career and my varsity BUT now I KNOW I have a purpose in life, I do want it but I am afraid to go after it. I just want to be happy. I am sad that this series is ending but I am glad that I came a cross this. Thank you Pastor Charles and the transformation church. My friend and I love watching your sermons

Don’t even worry, if you allow God he’ll guide your steps. As for i, i understand completely. Though I’m not African i am of Haitian descent and having immigrant parents i understand the pressure of having a good job/career. I’m not the oldest but I’m the second youngest and I’m 21 but the pressure is all on me. I have to lead by example and make my family proud. It’s a lot and i am scared, not scared of my calling but scared that i might fail at it, but God! God is good and he’ll make way. Stand firm in your faith, don’t be moved by what others think and give it to God.

I just want to say thanks to Pastor Charles and the culture in Transformation Church for the vulnerability, for being so real about our emotions, our pain, our disappointments. I love how he normalizes our questions and doubts, and humanizes Joseph for us to realize those questions and doubts aren't sinful but reminds us to remain faithful because God has a plan and His plan isn't always pretty but its worth living for.

I can’t explain how Holy Spirit breathed a song on me in the wee hours of Sunday morning that He’d enable me finish on Monday, only to watch this sermon today, Thursday the 7th of July, and find that it’s all connected. Wow! God continue to use pastor Charles for His Glory! 'The paradox of purpose ' is the answer to the untiring prayers i have lifted up to God asking for revelation of my purpose. I understood that God was revealing an understanding of what actually is 'purpose.' This is what i take home: Purpose is not temporal but a lifelong process Purpose is not status but a lifestyle Purpose is not passive but active Purpose is not doing but being Purpose is the hand of God through us about the person of God Purpose loves, purpose serves Purpose gives God always!

Where there is purpose there is pain. That is the absolute truth I've found that I don't often hear other people who have answered the call discuss. It's reassuring to know the pain isn't because of anything you did wrong or because you're in the wrong place, it's just the paradox of purpose. God help us all to find joy in feeding the world with you. Amen.

Trying to hold back the tears 😭. Pastor Charles great teaching about Joseph. I agree 💯 percent if you dont see your dreams serve someone else dream 💭 is hard to do. I want to share my testimony about how for years I thought I was forgotten I was homeless on the street sometimes in the shelter. Long story fast 💨 forward I remember how a lot of people I knew in the shelter was moving in their apartment in a week two weeks how I felt so much pain in hurt. How my life took a turn upside for six years some stuff I can take accountability on now I finally move in my apartment in august of 2021.

This is so good. I experienced this when going to college. My family was not supportive of me. They were extremely jealous. So jealous I had to move out. My mother turned into a monster 👹. That was extremely traumatizing to go through that and no one helped me.

@## Pastor Charles preach keep it coming in purpose but that grief and bitterness. Joseph was strong I’m working on forgiveness and not have bitterness towards the one that hurt me. And working on forgiveness for the ones I hurt.

I've been following TC since the beginning....before the blow up... and i just want to say that I am loving the journey of growth in Charles. I didn't like his sermons a few years ago. I thought he was corny and whack. I could see his passion, but the delivery wasn't there. But THIS....THIS RIGHT HERE....is E V E R Y T H I N G!!! He is confident, accurate, his fit is dripping, and he is snatching edges left and right! lol. I can see that he is in his element....in his purpose... Thank you Charles!

This was the message I needed to hear today. Thank you Pastor. A friend called me yesterday about her manifestation that came true suddenly. I was like ok where's mine. I've done and still doing all these things but I haven't gotten it yet. Patience is virtue and I know everyone's situation is different. I'm learning from this message. Thought I learned this before, but I hadn't. I understand.

This just saved my life. Everything that was said is everything that I’m going through RIGHT NOW & I was getting to a point of saying “enough is enough God” but now I have a glimmer of hope while still being faithful.
