Laysara: Summit Kingdom is a settlement builder game where we build on the side of a mountain, which as you can imagine gives us some very specific challenges because mountains aren't that flat and easy to build on!
The idea is that we build lots of little individual towns, each with their own homes, marketplace and essential buildings, and then we can trade between them for the goods they have available.
We begin by building homes for the lowlanders and we try to meet their needs to enable them to improve their homes. We build a nice mandala temple type thing for them, we provide food, it all goes well.
Then we work on our next town and also we begin to move up the mountain a bit and because the climate is different on the second tier of the mountain we can get different resources, like honey, and also there is copper so we mine that and turn it into lovely copper utensils!
However the snow is gathering at the top of the mountain which could possibly cause an avalanche...
Oh and there are yack shacks, which is fun to say.
NOTE: This is the demo version of the game.

Laysara: Summit Kingdom is a challenging city builder which tasks you with creating a new home for your people forced out of the lowlands. During a campaign or sandbox playthrough, you will establish multiple towns, each on a unique mountain with its own traits. All your towns co-exist in symbiosis, creating a trading network, which you can then adjust to your needs by revisiting already developed settlements. The Kingdom of Laysara has to be rebuilt!
BUILD ON A MOUNTAIN
Each mountain comes with a new set of challenges. Mounts differ in shapes, vegetation zone layouts, resource availability and weather conditions. Sometimes you will have plenty of room for farming in green lowlands, sometimes you will need to rely on breeding and extracting valuable minerals from regions dangerously close to peak glaciers. If you find yourself in dire need of a certain resource, you can always try to establish a trading route with another town.
DEAL WITH AVALANCHES
One of the ever-present dangers you will have to deal with are mighty avalanches. You can’t stop them, but you can take precautions and be prepared. Afforest the key areas to create natural barriers, build artificial ones to redirect rushing masses of snow, or trigger the avalanche early, while it’s still manageable. Create a deliberate and reliable strategy and you might even be able to use the power of snow to your advantage; fail to do so and find your city buried and devastated!
CRAFT A TRANSPORT NETWORK
So, transporting goods is easy, right? Well, not if your destination lies on the other side of the mountain, a few hundred meters higher, behind cliffs, ridges, canyons and rivers. You will need to create a vast, complex transport network consisting of roads, bridges and shafts to ensure reliable delivery chains. As demand for resources will grow alongside the town’s population, always look for opportunities to optimise your transportation network, be it by building paved roads, using more advanced lifting constructions, or aiding your carriers with glamorous yaks.
RAISE A SUMMIT TEMPLE
If you manage to endure all mountain dangers, build a network of efficient production chains and satisfy all needs of your people, there is only one more thing to be done: conquering the mountain peak! To succeed in this great endeavour you’ll need to reach the summit and establish safe routes for your carriers to bring in enormous amounts of building resources, but beware! Weather at this height is as deadly as ever. The final effect is well worth the effort though, as raising the summit temple is an act of total triumph of human courage (and your logistics skills!) over the elements.
Final note: the game is a pure city building experience solely focused on the economy, resource management and surviving despite the inhospitable environment. Therefore, the game doesn’t feature combat or any other military aspect.

I am absolutely thrilled to see this full game come out. It has a unique, beautiful art style, an interesting mountain mechanic, and hopefully it'll have a nice musical score to go along with it.

46:27 "great big horn" is very similar to how they trigger avalanches here. They stop the interstate traffic (much to the annoyance of the truck drivers), load up a cannon, sometimes with live ammo, sometimes with a blank for just the sound, and then fire it. once they've plowed the snow off the road, they open it up to traffic, safe in the knowledge that all the snow the was going to fall already has. they are replacing the ww2 howitzers with fancy air gun thingies, but when i was a wee ski-er, there were cannon blasts standard as part of staying up in a cabin near the pass. .

Love Rimworld (I even left a review on Steam, which I only do once in a blue moon or so). Might have to go back and watch it again tomorrow. :D Speaking of, Mr Cupboard, if you're ever of a mind to make another one of those with the new DLCs I don't imagine there'd be any serious complaints. ;)

Looks lovely, but the buildings do suffer a tad from "ANNO but on a slope" syndrome. Instead of weird earthwork in front of each building (And doors leading over the edge instead of to the sides or uphill), there should be lots of small stone walls. The myriad of roads also breaks up the look a lot.

thihhtii OmG Pange! I'm, sorry I was just checking Your old content :) You know that you "invented" shorts! You should put that playlist there and get some views and money from it :) Fallout 4 - The Twelve Days of Christmas Do you have more of it? Maybe without "Christmas" in theme?
