Go look up any review of the 2nd generation Canyons or Colorados with the V6 that performed 0-60 tests and the slowest one recorded was one that Motorweek did on a fully loaded (heavy) 4x4 Denali that still clocked in at 6.9 seconds. Car and Driver posted a 6.1 second 0-60 with a 2017 model Colorado V6. And there are numerous personal videos people have posted demonstrating just how fast the previous generation trucks are. I traded a 2020 Silverado Custom that had the new 2.7 turbo in it for my 22’ Canyon. The gas mileage is surprisingly superior to what I got in the Silverado, but there was also a difference in acceleration that was embarrassingly noticeable. That truck had a curb weight of just under 4700 lbs, VERY close to what these new Canyons and Colorados have. They are HEAVY. They have tons of torque that is good down low in the RPM range, but does nothing for high end acceleration. They run out of steam fairly quickly. My truck is geared for pulling all the way into the 6800 RPM range.

Not bad, but definitely noticed very pronounced turbo whistle in all the 2.7Ls I’ve driven

Can you turn it off completely? And if so does the truck reset it back to on when you turn the engine off or does it stay off?

Depends on budget to be honest. The ZR2 is the equivalent of the AT4X and this is the AT4. In my opinion I would opt for the zr2 if the pricing were similar between it and the regular AT4. My Denali Canyon is about the same price as the ZR2 but I opted for the Denali because it has slightly higher payload and towing capabilities. If you do not tow much, the lower payload and towing of the ZR2 and AT4X is of no consequence. I personally like the fit and finish of the Canyon a little better and the overall look of the truck seems nicer even though they are essentially the same truck. The Canyon does bring a slightly higher price tag though...

Front row is fine! I’m 6’3. Rear seat is pretty small tho

I grew up in the 90s and an Eddie Bauer version of the ford explorer was 40K, this thing blows the doors off of that over 20 years later so maybe we aren’t as far off as we think.

ALL truck prices are absurd, it's not just GM. I use to think the a fully loaded Pro4x was ridiculous price, but now that Nissan dealers are discounting them, it seems like a downright bargain compared to the competition.

But $100k for a loaded full size pick up is ok?

2024 models will all have the larger dash screen, and I agree that the smaller cluster seems silly considering the price tag. Overall really nice truck, but there are a few things that come across very strange.

YEA, MY 21 CADILLAC XT5 had a failed fuel system control module. Had to have it towed to dealer. It is all electronic, so it was a problem getting it on the tow truck in park. The battery was dead too. They took 2 weeks to fix it, replaced fuel module, which we diagnosed as the problem before tow. Replaced battery.
