Definitely some form of ptsd, he had to evac from his texas house due to daily swatting and crazy stalkers. Makes sense why he never sleeps and can do 30 + hour days like it's nothing.

All jokes aside, he really should get treated for PTSD. His quality of life could improve so much, especially since sleep is as important as breathing.

Night terrors and PTSD is super scary, which X sadly suffers from I think. All that swatting from the past still affects him. Hope he gets better soon

This is probably the best I've ever heard night terrors explained. I went through some shit when I was a kid and had night terrors for a while and it's so fucking scary so it's surprising to hear that XQC suffers with it too. You wake up in a FULLY panicked state but aren't fully conscience, all of your senses are heightened, you can't elaborate anything correctly, and you can't get away from the feeling so all you can focus on in that state is escaping it but there's nowhere to go. For me the only thing I would think about in that state was making sure everyone and everything is quiet, and the ONLY thing that would help me out when I was younger was my mom calming me down. I don't wish anyone to have to experience this and I hope XQC is able to move on from it because it's a terrible experience.

Just a gentle touch on the shoulder, assure them that everything's fine once they come to, and guide them back to bed. A more long-term solution though is for xQc to see a sleep doctor. If this is indeed caused by PTSD, he will most likely be referred to a therapist. In the meantime, he may also consider taking melatonin supplements, just a 5mg tablet or gummy at least 2 hours before bedtime.

My brother has this issue haha it’s next level sht. It’s like they’re not actually awake and yet they’re running around screaming escaping from “something”. My brother would scream “THE WORLD! IT’S DEAD! *CRIES* MOMMY! NOOO MOMMYY! *CRIES* IT’S THERE! AHHHHH MAH-AHH- *CATCHES BREATHE* MYYYYY!” We’re all like trying to console him and get him to go back to sleep, it’s very heart wrenching watching him have night terrors.

I have waking panic attacks that are maybe 10 percent as bad as what X gets, and even then it's a really shitty experience. Hope he gets help for it

My heart goes out to the guy. I had nightmares almost every night for over a decade followed by sudden sleep interruptions that got bad enough that I think I've had a minor heart attack or two. And the long-term, probably permanent brain damage from way too much poor sleep? Shit sucks.

This is called night terrors- I had it at one point of my life- it can get very serious or not. I personally just started crying and yelling but some ppl get aggressive and smash their heads into things. But it can go away at any point c:

What's intresting is night terrors are something that can be common in adolescents, something I had until I was about 8. I didnt discover the phenomenon and name until I was in my late teen and talking with friends. Before learning what it was, Night terrors are truly one of the most surreal experience a person can have, especially if you dont have the knowledge to descibe it like I did. But having it devolpe in adulthood, from what I understand it can develop out of severe amounts of stress. Sound like he should really step away from streaming if its affecting his mental health that much.

I'll wake up yelling no over and over but that's about it. Maybe once a week. I've only got up and ran around maybe 3 times ever. Shits terrifying.
