Dear God, please help me with this. Help me to be kind to those that are not kind to me, that make fun of me and treat me poorly. Help me to not be resentful, hateful and angry towards them. Please Lord, help me to love them as You love them and to forgive them as You forgive them. Fill me with the Holy Spirit so I may be able to do these things. In Jesus' name Amen.
The pain they cause us is just the desperate thrashings of someone bound and drowning. Keep them afloat until The Savior gets there. I promise you won’t be angry or hurt, you’ll be proud of those cuts and bruises. God shows us just how easily we could be them in that moment. I’ve let myself be controlled by the fear and pain (sadly, mostly social). In an effort to avoid it, I justified all my actions and ended up just manifesting what I feared. Christ shows us the way. Grace, mercy, forgiveness, love and sacrifice. I pray God blesses you.

Pastor Colon, you are a blessing to this world which is lost in a delusional reality, and not realizing the lateness of the hour. Judgment is knocking at the door of this Antichrist worshipping system. Few calling themselves a Christian realize that they are far from the heart of Christ. Instead they live totally compromising to this fallen world, giving little thought to God except to ask for more material stuff, better job, more money, great health etc. Sadly they are the ones, when tribulations start, will fall away from God and His Son, even excepting the coming mark of the Beast. Their faith is shallow and based on an easy form of spiritual lip service to God. However, when trials come, they will have no foundation in Christ to withstand the assault. Scripture warns at the end times, man's heart will be uncaring, self-centered, and narcisistic. Do we not see that every where today.
As Thanksgiving comes upon us let’s thank the Lord for loving us first. Thank God for putting people like pastor Conlon and other men and women of Faith on our path to victory. I praise God for the strength I receive through my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Amen

This has not been my experience at all. Not even close. Begging our heavenly Father for years! To heal my wife of multiple sclerosis... and deliver us from other troubles!! "He who asks receives"? And Jesus said, "Ask anything in my name and I will do it that the Father may be glorified." I cannot do this anymore.
Dear Dan, I understand, my dad had cancer, I also asked, but he passed away after a 2 year battle. I was angry with God for a while. I guess I didn't fully understand at the time that God's way, isn't my way. God's thoughts are not my thoughts, and His will doesn't align with my will. He is God, everything he does has a purpose, even if it means that someone is hurt or dies. We don't understand and give up hope. I just want to remind you that there is a life after this one, and that it is going to be wonderful and will last forever. Although my dad had cancer, I see now that he touched a lot of people's lives in a positive way, especially when he was receiving blood transfusions, he would often talk to people. I look forward to seeing him again. I trust in God, and you should too.

But if the chasm between us is so great that "His thoughts and ways are not ours", implying that we cannot really understand Him, what is the point of making so many promises and attempting to communicate with us, when, after all is said and done, the promises are incomprehensible? The prodigal son's father welcomed him back immediately. Had a party for him.The son didnt have to beg. The point of that parable, and many others? If you who are evil know how to give good things to your children (a loaf of bread, not a stone) how much more your heavenly Father wants to give good things to those who ask. Then why doesn't He? We ask. He doesn't. We cry out. We beg. He still doesn't. Because His ways and thoughts are not ours? What?! Because He's "sovereign"? That's how a Father treats His children? Makes promises, but doesn't deliver on them... because "He doesn't HAVE to"? If His ways and thoughts are so "not ours" that His promises to us are rendered incomprehensible, perhaps we'd be better off if He'd keep them to Himself. Go ahead. Judge me. Tell me a "bitterness has taken root in my heart". I'm only human, and only being honest.
JESUS died for our sins and made a way for us to have ETERNAL LIFE. No matter what, he is worthy of our praise. Life can be hard and the BIBLE says that we don't know what holds tomorrow. For life is like a vapor. Eternity is forever. To those that suffer in this life, if they know JESUS when they get to heaven there will be no more pain. What a blessed hope. What a celebration that will be. And our every breathe is in his hands. Do not lose hope. Keep the faith. Call upon him for strengh. Give him all the glory. For he Is WORTHY TO BE PRAISED! We serve a GREAT GOD for there is none like him. We know he can do anything! No matter what we must trust in him through these trials and tribulations. WE MUST BE STILL AND KNOW THAT HE IS GOD! May the LORD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
Yes Dan, I appreciate your honesty. I think though that the verse "Ask anything in My Name..." is not what you think it is. It doesn't mean that you can ask God for physical things, or whatever you want and He HAS to do it for you. It is about Spiritual health and help to deal with difficult situations just like the one you're dealing with. Jesus promised that if you need anything in the Spirit that it would be given unto you, just like He ( the Holy Spirit) helped the Apostle Paul to spread the Gospel AND to deal with difficult situations like being jailed for preaching , being shipwrecked etc. Paul did not have an easy life, and he was God's anointed.

If I was lost as they are lost, I would not want others sugar coating the Truth and being "nice" to me even though I were hell bound. I would want someone to slap me across the face with the Truth, explain their case, and save my Soul. Showing grace and giving to others is important, but we must show DISCERNMENT in this... we are to seek the LOST SHEEP who recognize Christ's Voice. We are not supposed to give our Pearls to Swine who will turn and KILL US. We are supposed to be pure as the dove, yes, but also as WISE as the serpent! We are not supposed to walk as fools among scoffers sitting in their assembly, but if anyone does not accept us and our Message then we are instructed to beat the dust off our shoes and keep it moving until we find those lost sheep who KNOW Christ's Voice. We are instructed by Jeremiah to not plant seeds on fallow and thorn-riddled ground, only God can change hearts, and yes I agree we cannot do it in the flesh. But the Holy Spirit will also not I act what goes against the Word of God. This sermon is good at expressing ONE SIDE of the story... but if you only have the purity of the dove, and lack the discernment of the serpent you are being set up for FAILURE and DEATH in these times. I know many people who dedicated their lives to mercy and goodness, but gave it all to swine, and the swine and dogs are always the FIRST ONES to crowd around you and suck your blood and leech off your blessings, you must have the discernment to pass some by, and reach those who the Spirit of God has led you to, and you will know because they will immediately light up at the Words and the Actions of the Gospel...IMMEDIATELY... because they KNOW Christ's Voice. Do not walk as blind fools in this time, do not be blind who are led by the blind to death, read THE ENTIRETY of the Scriptures and realize that this Faith is a Narrow Path, pressed on both sides of being too mean but also being too nice... but one who is LED Truly by the Holy Spirit will be kept from stumbling.
Unfortunately I don't have to try very hard to put myself in the shoes of someone that is proposing narratives counter to truth. I was like that just 8 or 9 years ago. I can tell you from experience, from having been in that place, and having known people in that place (and seeing those old friends still in that place) that the way they want to be treated, is with submission. They want fealty. They want power. They are so convicted in their beliefs about how everyone else should live their lives, so materialistic, and devoid of mercy, that they do not want your love. They want your fear.
So enable sin suffer sin from takers by enabling sin?? Biblical love is it letting wrongs go on without correcting. Good is nudging others to right difection not cheering them onto hell. Pray help is all good but not while letting them stay in sin. Out of context Mixing worldly love with biblical love can confuse people.
