Hello Walkers. I hope you are all well and you will take a time to answer the question I pose at the beginning of this walk because I'm trying to decide if I try to create an ad-free option. I can't go through Channel Memberships and have that be ad-free and Patreon doesn't offer 4K so I need to use another option. That leaves Vimeo OTT which I do for another channel and I think I could make the videos accessible through the website. BUT, it costs money and a lot of time so I need to see if it's worth it. Thanks for your time on that.
This fun little walk starts out on the "Veterans Bridge" aka 89 Bridge aka KPRK Bridge. We walk into town past some interesting businesses and then back into the east side residential neighborhood and the eclectic homes there. After that we go to the fairgrounds to see the ice rink, past the high school, and then up to beautiful and historic downtown. It's snowy and icy but a beautiful joyous day to be out walking.
Keep on Steppin' -H

This is my first walk. I’ve been seeing all these advertisements charging 30-40 to walk through a town. I can’t do that! So I searched and your channel popped up. This was great! I did 20 mins for starters and this was nice to hear you chat and walk! Great scenery. Thank you!!!

Wow! I wish I could get paid that much. :-) However, these will always be free with a few ads. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Keep on steppin' -H

Hello again! Nice to see other parts of Livingston. I do hope they have the train stop there again. I would really consider going again. My father was born there and mom was from Great Falls. We had several relatives living in Livingston that we would visit every year during the Summer.. A lot of the time when we were kids, we would go from Washington to Livingston by train and loved it. Many good memories. I lived in Livingston for a short time on 314 W Geyser street . That was our Grandmother's house. Anyway , thank you for the memories! four of us are retirement age, but I think all of us would visit again by train if it was available.

Hey there and so good to hear from you again. I love hearing these personal memories of places and especially how useful trains are. I'll have to keep an eye out next time I walk down Geyser for your Grandmother's house! I think I know which one it might have been All the best and thanks for sharing. -H

Thanks for the great tour. My mom was born in Livingston in 1932. She and a friend traveled to Seattle in the early 50's and that's where my life began. I have lots of family in MT. Great state. Good luck on your bluegrass progress. I love listening to it. ❤

@@CityWalks Ok, another little tidbit. As a child, I rode the Northwest Hiawatha by myself every summer to stay with my Grandma. She then lived between Missoula and Frenchtown. Lots of great memories on that train ride. Hope it comes back to your town.

Thank you for the walk, Henry. Livingston does look pretty under a bit of snow. Amtrak is expanding in my area as well. About a year ago, we got a direct train to NYC, and the hope is that we will soon also have a direct train to Montreal. I don't think I can overstate how much I enjoy your reflections on life in Livingston. They way you describe it feels like a microcosm for the universal human endeavor to make things more pleasantly livable. It also makes perfect sense when you describe how bigger places feel smaller than Livingston. Take care.

Henry, I’m ok with the occasional commercial. I don’t have a desire to pay to remove. I really enjoy walking with you and your commentary is great. You have been to many of the same places in the world as I have been yet you visited different areas which I really appreciate as I feel I know the place even better now. KOS’n

*-H does the local government use salt grits on icy roads in America ? To prevent cars and people from slipping ?*
@CityWalks
@CityWalks 7 месяцев назад
Hi Terry. Great question. They definitely don’t use salt but they’ll spray sand at the intersections sometimes to help cars have some traction there. -H
