I....can't...even. People, she's in her mid 50's....let me repeat that... MID 50'S and she still sounds EXACTLY as she did in her prime which was this exact time in her career when she was recording for those movies. That voice hasn't aged even ONE day....that is a sign of a true and incredible artist. God I love this woman....
Liz and Jodie Benson are proof of what happens if you take good care of your voice. Lea Salonga has also aged very gracefully, but she's a bit younger... Susan Egan, Judy Kuhn, and even the late Adriana Caselotti all sound(ed) great. Infact, the only real trainwreck princess is Paige O'Hara. I believe that Paige has a good performance in her if she took some coaching to restore what she damaged.
Liz and Aaliyah both did incredible versions of the song. So excited for my friend Christy Altomare who will be singing that song 8 times a week starting March of next year 2017 when ANASTASIA officially comes to Broadway.
Oh Michael, christy is what brought me back here. It rehashed my love for Anastasia. She does it complete justice. I’d love to see her in it. She is incredible.

She still has that VOICE!! WOW...I got the chills and started crying instantly...this was one of my favorite movies growing up, better than any Disney film...I've always felt Anastasia was an honorary Disney Princess! Hehe

When a singer really has what's called "vocal technique" there's no reason a voice has to decline markedly, this lady obviously KNOWS how to sing, thankfully she also sings with feeling. Wonderful.

Amazing light-lyric soprano. Great voice and technique... Tremendous resonance thanks to a perfect technique like Mariah is also a light-lyric and has that same resonance. Wanted to hear more from Liz and know her vocal range...
Mariah is naturally an alto. "Daydream" is the only album where she sang so light and airy. Her voice was actually damaged by then as she was unable to sing full voice. If you question my response listen to her in 1993 vs 1995. Any performance.
@@rayray88161 you're wrong. First of all, Alto is not a voice type, it's for choir singers. The name you're looking for It's contralto. That would be Cher, Annie Lennox and singers with androgynous tone. Mariah is a soprano. Her voice blossoms as it goes higher.

That was phenomenal. Grew up singing along with Odette and Anastasia, so it brings me so much joy to watch this now as an adult and see her still rocking the mic! :)

I think I was about 7 when I first saw Anastasia, and I have loved to hear Liz Callaway sing ever since! I can’t tell you how many times I have seen that movie, but the main reason I love it so much is because of her! So much talent...
I found myself closing my eyes to listen to her voice with Anastasia's face but shouldn't be - give credit where it's due! This woman is amazing and the swan princess is one of my all time favorite disney films.
