The ironic part is if she actually did do that, then she would have a good chance towards the presidency, and certainly would have won her primary.

My girlfriend's mom was in town recently and she's one of those people. Very sweet woman but unfortunately a democrat who believes what CNN tells her. She did bring up her fear that Republicans would throw out election laws completely but I explained to her that there are state constitutions to protect from stuff like that. Of course I didn't mention how dems shit all over those during the 2020 elections but I wanted to be civil.

I think when it comes to decisions like this, a lot of voters consider how much power their rep will have in DC. Cheney obviously had a lot of power in DC. She just forgot that the only reason WY would vote for someone with lots of power in DC is on the assumption they'd use that power for WY.

Because the eGOP has always chosen WHO we get to vote for, and the higher the office, the more the eGOP had total veto power. My whole life I railed about "Holding my nose & voting" and that a choice between Big Govt Clone A or Clone B is NO choice.
