Mike Woodley’s car was stolen right in front of him on a cold January morning in Edina.
“It seems to me the new game, instead of playing sports and picking teams, is going to steal cars, break into houses, beat up old people. That’s what I’m hearing,” Woodley said on Liz Collin Reports.
The St. Paul native said he’s ready to leave Minnesota behind.

The Keith Ellison story disgusts me to no end. And that gov Walz surely crapped on the quality of life for Minneapolis residents who reside near the high rises now called “Little Mogadishu” Walz disregarded a whole lot of ordinances by ordering the “Morning call to prayer” to be broadcast to all in the area every morning during the time that we were ordered to shelter in place. That Izzzlom call to prayer comes very early in the summer (sunrise) Who wants to hear THAT as their morning wake-up alarm?

Ditto for me on the guest’s last remarks. This isn’t my state (not at all what it was like growing up here and having a career with Hennepin County) ~ I don’t like it here. I got a few candid remarks from a social worker near retirement in 1999, one of which was to explain that the refugee resettlement industry had “delivered” Somalis out of a Kenyan refugee camp “because typically Minnesotans have been very tolerant of ‘different’ cultures.” That might help explain why the Minneapolis & St Louis Park districts have been stuck with Ilhan Omar as a D-Representative more than 4 years.

My grandpa passed last year. He told me before he died, “ these next generations are destroying everything the previous generations worked so hard to build”. This breaks my heart. I was raised in South Minneapolis and lived 1 block form Kenny park. As an only child I lived at that park in a very safe neighborhood Many park activities in the summer and skating in the winter the best childhood ever. I am so sad for the children now who cannot be safe. I have great grand children mostly in private schools due to the decay in education. My Minneapolis I love is gone. Edina was next door.

Oh gosh, I thought you, you were criticizing something I said. You came across my notifications. I thought you were mad at me, you are in focus. You, your kids, you all I love. Grew up in Richfield/Woodlake, lots of good stories to tell. Well, 60's stories are often embellished, but, ya, they are now horror stories Sounds like you are doing what you can do. Just my opinion but public education and school teacher norms are the biggest change I have seen in my life. Government's control over education Not like 60 Minutes is going to explain any of this... Raising buildings down on Lake is what I just read, so long Stella's and the Rooftop. Liberals are fleeing the area. Your opinion can differ from mine but the private education...? You are a gem

I had a car stolen once. They drove all around my neighborhood in my car, and when I told the police where the car was, they told me to go home and tend to my own business. Three days later the police called me to pick up my car at the impound. They called it "Misdemeanor Joy Riding", and said they don't fingerprint for "joy riding". I had to pay $100's for impound fees, the interior was stripped, steering column dismantled, trunk lock ruined. The reason they abandoned the car was because it ran out of gas and had a lock on the gas cap.

It has been 11 months since your post about Murderapolis and possibility of being car jacked as high as having an accident. I carry a can of carbeurator cleaner and a clicker lighter! If someone tries to jack me they'll likely not make it after the burn ward! Carb cleaner shoots about 25 foot flame and gives time to get out of there! Drastic times...drastic measures! Because WHEN SECONDS COUNT the cops are just minutes away!!!

I moved back to Mpls after being gone 25 years. I came back because my whole family lives here and I missed my “ home.” This city is nothing like what I thought was my home. Now what? Is this it? Do we all just abandon cities that were once wonderful places to live? Is there no political will to fight back and not allow the crazy left to swallow up our cities in their black hole of crime and misery?

Growing up at my Grandma's grocery store, corner of Forest and Ivy, East side St Paul, she was going to give me the store when she retired. Thank goodness my dad talked her into selling when I was 13. By the time I was 19 the neighborhood was changing, no more working class, blue collar. I checked last year- the bldg is still there, its a duplex or apartments now. But boy has that once pretty, safe, full of life neighborhood changed. Breaks my heart. Almost wish the bldng was gone- because the neighborhood is gone. Dad moved us north to a city of 68,000. I raised my kids here. It hasn't fared well here either.

Stealing cars in todays society is not much of a crime in Minnesota because of the rising and out of control violent crimes. Most violent crimes have no consequences also, only if they are charged federally, Minnesota DA's and judges let them all out on a simple bond for shootings and murder.. Then they are back on the street and never go back to court, A lot of killers out there running free. Stealing a car in Minnesota is nothing important but to the car owner it is devastating . So sad !

I don’t get why the criminals are not being charged with their crimes and jailed. He said it best, why does ANYBODY want to live like this? Answer, until crime lands on the decision makers doorstep, or affects someone THEY love, or care about, nothing changes. And if we retaliate, we, are charged and jailed. This state is not for me anymore either. I’ll take my family, my money, my tax money, and leave here. They want criminals over productive, law abiding citizens, they can have this place. We will leave, and never come back.
