The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

She’s looks great with long hair. I know her “Cabaret” look is considered classic, but I think she rocks with long hair.

It definitely fits her facial structure for sure

She moves like a pro. It's important for a singer to interpret a song physically as well as to sing it. It was obvious that Liza had it all at a very young age.

Wonderful. A superstar was appearing in the sky. The first time I heard Liza sing Who's Sorry Now was on a very old record that I found on a record label "Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli at the London Palladium" and I fell in love with her and her voice. Although to tell the truth I love how she sings it at the London Palladium, with all that power and temperament that only she had. I love you Liza. Liza FOREVER!!! Thank you very much for posting this gem.

What's with the complaints about this or other Sullivan clips being in 480p? Would people rather watch these in the original version on a 1960s aerial tv with picture fuzzy maybe because there's a hill or mountain blocking the signal lol?

This song belongs to Connie Francis and no one can do it justice as Connie can. Could you please post Connie singing a medley of her million sellers on the Sullivan show in Berlin. The medley includes stupid cupid, lipstick on your collar, amomg my souvenirs, everybody's somebody's fool, where the boys are and, of course, who's sorry now.
@dekelanson5280

Actually, Who's sorry now, was published in 1923, making it older than Connie herself. I see what you mean though, Connie did have the most famous version.

For goodness sakes, what kind of digital transfer from videotape is this? It looks like it was taken from a 4th generation VHS or Betamax tape! This can't be the best copy that exists, can it? What's with the old school 480p transfers? That said, how talented, pretty and sexy was Liza here at age 19? With today's hairstyles and makeup, she would be a total knockout.
