Wow Scraggle was vicious! I love how it cut off Intelligible Factors saying “it’s almost like Sawblade is running away from-“ by just WHIPPING around and biting the hell out of Sawblade And we can’t forget about the three spins WHILE holding Sawblade I also love the break Scraggle took in the hunting test, and how the threat music abruptly cut off and suddenly resumed I think he was just Pondering, and then remembered that there was prey to be caught
Oh my God, Scraggle was kicking ass did not weigh a single second which is surprisingly a very weird reaction from a strung like lizard the original was very cowardly and unwilling to fight, that is very interesting
This recontextualizes things. Maybe scrungly wasn’t cowardly but simply thought he owned the place. Scraggle does have extremely high dominance, aggression, and energy while the other 3 lizards are all fairly lax and non confrontational compared to them.
@@fishyfishyfishy500akabs8 that is really interesting but I’m talking about in the older video with the orange lizard skunk. The original one was very unwilling to fight and pretty tame but thanks for the information.
@@devonblackwell7405 yeah orange lizard scrungly also had like no sympathy and neurotic levels of aggression. Might be something with the mods or the Yellow Lizard genes kicked in and made scrungly extremely non aggressive seeming. Yellow lizards are the most tame lizard variety, have duller senses than pinks meaning they don’t lock onto targets as easily, and have the least amount of aggression towards other lizards of any lizard type. You basically need to shove them into a pit where they also are in constant contact with other lizard types to get them to fight to the death. Pinks absolutely hate each other tot he point where it may have breached through that, and if this video is accurate then high dominance or something might give lizards more “patience” for less dominant lizards because it’s only the non dominant ones with close dominance scores that started brawling immediately. A more dominant lizard in my experience will usually be able to drive off a less dominant one. High energy provides the high energy movements, and all the other traits feed into those two.
I can just imagine IF trembling slightly when they realized that Sawblade was willing to kill. Especially when he wasn't even the most violent test subject
fun fact: lizards can only damage other creature with a body mass less than 1.2 times higher than their own. this is also what makes certain lizards immune to red lizard bites. however, if the lizard is trying to attack its target, it will use a "damage attack" which only has a 50% chance of working, can't be used to grab other creatures, only does half of its base damage, and ignores body mass. EDIT: i was wrong in the original comment. the damage attack does not stack with its normal bite. if the lizard successfully bites a creature, it's impossible for it to use a damage attack, regardless of what its relationship is to that specific creature. it also only has a 50% chance of working at all. if the normal bite and the damage attack both fail, nothing happens.
@@Onestaythelast they do. i've viewed the entire code of the game, including the lizard bite code, and there is nothing that prevents any kind of lizard from using the attack, unless you're using mods. note that they only use it when attempting to kill their target, so lizards never use it against each other in territorial fights. you'll probably only see it happen with tamed lizards or red lizards.

Oh I think I know where this is going! The color of the core will determine which lizard games they are in! That means that the next core doing lizard games will be the adventure core.
The idea of "sub-iterators" is very cool! It also (kinda) explains why there are so many overseer colors in safari videos, GLaDOS was just borrowing someone else's overseers!
I wish I could like this video twice, all of the little additional notes (both "scrungly" and the lantern mouse in the corner at 3:50) make these so fun to watch, and the lore is so interesting!
I like that this opened up with a completely different iterator. I also really like that they're based off the personality cores. Also I like the naming of the one based off GLADOS.

I think Kibble had an unfair advantage as all 3 loud mice were placed while it was basically right next to them. Sawblade started with just 1 mouse that was more far away. Justice for Sawblade!!
Although pink lizards are not my favorite, they clearly have above average intelligence and have a high degree of rivalry between members of their species, managing to kill Green lizard
I've been doing some testing with Scraggle. It is unusually strong for such a scrungly lizard. Edit: After further testing, I have found this Lizard ID to scare away other lizards. A definite anomaly among scrungly lizards.
Wait- how did the scrungly lizards come back??? I think I saw someone suggest a code exactly like this on a different video, probably the one about scrungly's dissapearence, so maybe that's how they did it.
@@BatFlightThylacine you can check the wiki. The only personality modifiers that change lizard behaviour are: dominance affecting taming difficulty and orange leadership, and energy affecting white lizard, salamander, and eel lizard lurking. I couldn't find any other personality changes in lizards other than these. Despite this through watching your videos and my own testing, results have shown the opposite of the wiki's information. Low dominance seems to make lizards more likely to give up territory contests and general stat increases seem to lead to winning fights. For example I tried Sawblade vs Scraggle many times and in almost every instance, scraggle was the winner. An earlier video of yours shows a low sympathy orange lizard refraining from helping it's pack against 2 caramel lizards (orange yellow orange) where the others chose helping their pack members over biting the caramels or fleeing. I'm not sure how accurate the wiki is and where all its information is sourced although without data mining, I'm not sure if a true answer can be made.
@@InSight9801 The wiki generally gets its information via analyzing the game's code itself, but RNG is a prominent factor in the game's code. I myself have taken a peak at the code for the lizard AI (but im not very well versed in coding so a lot of it was incomprehensible to me). However, I know that the team on the wiki has data mined the game in order to confirm information. Despite this, the creature AI for various entities is highly complex, with some personality stats seeming to have little to no influence on some creatures, while highly influencing the behavior of other creatures. I would also point out that the impact that personality stats have on moment-to-moment gameplay fluctuates wildly. And the Wiki is usually only able to detail information that the team can validate as facts rather than speculation. My videos lean more heavily on speculation based on observational data rather than active parsing of the code being run.

ID 3362 edit i just got to the part in the video with the scrungly note oops edit 2: i have confirmed by comparison that 2627 is scrunglier than 3362 by slight amounts
