I've had a narcissistic boss that everyone loved but treated me so poorly and ultimately fired me when I spoke up and took my complaints to HR. It happens every day. I believe the dancers and I hope they get justice.
I’m so sorry that happened to you. I’ve been in similar situations and can never understand how other people can’t see the narcissism and toxicity. I’ve come to believe that some people are just more adept at seeing who someone really is, good or bad.
Before this lawsuit. Lizzo dox a girl for taking one of her chicken nuggets and Lizzos toxic fans where sending death threats to this girl. I am not making this up. Google it. Seems to me she has always been this way.
I’ve danced for years. Dancers have a VERY strict policy for dancers and their responsibilities regardless if you are skinny or not. The entertainment industry is a true BEAST and it’s NOT for the weak.
Does that involve leading a chant and pressuring the female dancers to eat a banana out of other womens privates? She fired one for not wanting to do it. Im glad theyre speaking out.
I kinda believe it just because of how unstable Lizzo is. This minute she’s preaching to the high heavens how much she loves her body and then the next she’s crying over some idiotic comment by a random troll. You just really never know what you’re getting with Lizzo and if she’s that all over the place to the public, I can only imagine what she’s like privately.
@@Multiversetraveler93 Oh and that's even a BETTER example 😂 "You can love your body and then be sad when hordes of people come bullying you…. which then gives you a ticket to bully and fat shame others such as the people who work under you." Maybe you should just travel the universe and quit with the multiversing.
@@HerfortzDid you hear what the claim that’s being made is? Davis is claiming that Lizzo said she was concerned that her performance had been not as good so she asked her what was up and Davis brought up her weight gain. David feels like Lizzo was commenting on her weight gain and making her feel like she had to discuss it.
@@Multiversetraveler93 I’ve never seen a celebrity go through as much mood swings as she does. It’s a constant thing. I get everyone has a breaking point but she really expects nothing but positivity when she post her body half exposed?
And rude! Remember when she put that Uber eats driver on blast and then it turned out Lizzo put the wrong address! Also Lizzo did have an interview and she spoke about the Banana 🍌 incident! Eating the banana that’s inside a women’s privates.
I believe the victims. I saw a video of Lizzo in ''tears'' being fat shamed ...now a year later....these allegations come out...Lizzo most likely has that personality where she feeds on her haters and takes it out on people who work for her....she's built a toxic personality from her fame plus feeding into all her haters.
I think something we need to remember is that lizzo is 35 years old. She’s a grown as women and should know better. Second, she’s a boss. They way she treaded her employees is unacceptable and I hope they get the justice they deserve because no one should feel forced to do something they don’t want to do or feel threatened when you go to work. Or in this case fly to another country for a tour.
Why are the ladies defending her and her actions? I do think Whoopi is right we need all the information. But multiple people coming out means we need to listen and appropriate authorities investigate.
Good point. Though I wonder if they just meant the producer having 2nd thoughts provides a *more* objective view, outside of her employed staff/dancers, to have problems with Lizzo - that it is not just limited to people with potential to gain from suing - than they were trying to say they respect/believe a "more important" producer ???
This always seemed like her personality. I’m surprised anyone thought she came across as nice. Think lots of people overlooked her tacky, and classless behavior just because she preached about “body positivity”. The allegations align with her persona. The music and entertainment industry is very well known for being toxic and abusive. Lizzo joins a long list of other bullies.
It's a job, not a friends club. Do what's expected to earn your paycheck, then go home. Employees are not entitled to set the job expectations for a business. Performing artists are a business and THEY set those expectations, not the other way around. I commend Lizzo for keeping her artistic standards and performance standards. Employees always have a quit option. Find a job somewhere else.
@@76482This all went completely over your head considering what you said. You commend Lizzo for almost assaulting a worker and body shaming them which is very hypocritical to what she says about body postivity. It's all still allegations in the end but the fact that you seem to have an acceptance of these things like anyone deserves to be treated this way because of work standards, you need to be checked real quick before you hurt someone.
Isn't that something, Whoopi is trying to tow the line whenever it's someone who she doesn't care for? She goes all in, but now it's Lizzo she is towing the line. I appreciate Sunny & Alyssa's take on this topic.
We don't know all of the facts but bullying and narcissism is rampant in all work places, all over the world. Individuals who especially come from a marginalized group, should really know better. I frankly find it beyond wrong, its inhumane.
Her former creative director also collaborated the allegations. I don’t like Lizzo. Never had after the Postmates incident. In 2019 she accused a Postmates driver of stealing her food and posted her name and picture all over social media. She deleted the tweet and apologized but the damage was already done. The driver was harassed and forced to quit her job. The driver sued but ultimately dismissed the lawsuit because she was paid off.
What gets me is the top people say guilty before evidence is brought forth and ruin that person career. Bill Cosby but the women kept coming back for more and now they trying to get him for something else he already served his time. This world is very wicket and evil
Ive never been impressed inspired or wowed by Lizzo. Who knows if she’s in the wrong here but I will say eventually if you are shady inauthentic or a fraud, truths will come to light. It might take a while but it will surface
Lizzos mistake was mixing business and pleasure. I don’t think there was intentional harassment, sounds like they were turning up at a strip club after a show. The dancers are paid employees and should have been treated as such at all times. Lizzo should have went out with her friends or family. As someone who has danced professionally, dancers are are expected to maintain the size/look that we present at time of audition for the duration of the contract. weight fluctuations negatively impacts technical execution of choreography and costume fitting. There was no fat shaming, just an expectation to uphold the standard. Management is within their rights to question a noticeable weight gain. I’m giving them the side eye because it’s giving now that since they aren’t cool with Lizzo anymore they are creating a smear campaign as the last desperate attempt to get paid. The lesson for everyone is to keep up professional witj employees at all times.
These dancers are out for money big time and look at all these nutty people throwing things on at the performers could put someones eye out or throw acid on stage living in a very sad world.
You really don't get it, this is not her first assault and among other things, If i was a dancer for Lizzo I would be lucky because your monthly or weekly salary outweighs being payed a one time fee and being blacklisted, their careers might be over.@@Bossy663
I was looking for this comment because it's exactly what I was thinking. When you are a star you need to treat those that you employ as just that. They are not your friends or family. I think she got too comfortable with them and thought she could treat them like friends thus the question about weight gain. I do think these ladies are looking for a payday but this should be a warning to other entertainers that you cannot mix business with pleasure. If I was an entertainer I would keep my conversation with them limited to the task at hand and would not socialize with them outside of that. No dinners or parties. Do your job then go home (or back to the hotel if on tour).
Perfectly said Tbrown. As Whoopi said let's wait till it all comes out in the wash, it's dangerous to react to a d story and with Hollywood and the American entertainment industry in general you never know. I remember watching the Netflix documentary on jlo and just balling my eyes out. I felt sooo bad cos I was one of the people who championed the narrative that it was over for her when she was just trying to work on her art, as a cake artist I tried to put myself in her shoes and wondered how I would have felt if my art was constantly criticised as such, same is the story of Toni braxton who was shamed on the Oprah show and she couldn't respond due to an NDA she just sat there looking miserable while she was accused of being a spend thrift and what about Britney? nobody thoughtto consider that she probably going through post birth mental and emotional health issues? My point is I'm not quick to join the banner of tearing people down anymore just cos of what's popular on main stream media. I'm going to wait this one out and come to conclusion when the picture is complete
Exactly, if you mix business with pleasure, things can go bad bad when they go south. Lizzo probably mix business with friendship and feelings got involved, and now they are filing and seeing her from a business perspective. And now where's the friendship lol 😆
This just proves that people saying Lizzo isn't happy with herself are right. All these body positivity stuff is just for show. If you love yourself as a big person, you won't pick on other big people. I'm not really surprised. It's obvious she was arrogant from day 1 and full of herself
One dancer said she gained noticeable weight and was asked if something happening and she took that as body shamming. Honestly I think the truth is in the middle.
Sooo these women are just like Lizzo. However, they are trying to sue someone for "fat shaming" them. Lizzo couldn't so all the people who did the same to her because they don't have money.
Other allegations that LIZZO is being sued for and left out in this segment… 1) Lizzo took her Dancers to a strip club where Dildos and bananas 🍌 were being launch from the strippers va Jay jays and Lizzo teased one of her dancers to eat the Banana. 2) The dancers weren’t being paid on time. The dancers also had to fight for retainers bc Lizzo and her team didn’t want them to take jobs while they were on long hiatus. They only ask fo a 15% retainer and Lizzo was not happy about that. Opinion: no one should work for free. Pay your dancers LIZZO!! 3) Rehearsal were 12 hours with NO BREAKS! 4) The woman in the brown shirt in the CNN clip has an eye condition where she was recording Lizzo lecture since she couldn’t take notes. This upset lizzo and why lizzo threaten her. Opinion: not that Lizzo s reaction was right but the dancer should have let lizzo know ahead of time. 4) Not Lizzo but her Dance captain was pushing her religion on to the other dancers. The dance captain also berated some of the dancers for having premarital sex, while she was telling the dancers about her sexual fantasy. She also disclosed to others on the team who was a virgin and who wasn’t. 5) The dancer say that Lizzo treated her dancers and Crew of color badly.
*The issues around payment were with the production company, NOT Lizzo. ONE rehearsal was 12 hours and that’s honestly not that out of left field for the level they are performing at.
@@arianna5270 lizzo is head of her production company, but yes she should have also Ben ontop of the person doing payment and 12 HOURS WITH NO BREAKS is abuse.
@@MarGoLuv But Lizzo being the head of the company is not the same as her running day to day. It’s unlikely that these are conversations that were ever had with Lizzo as an international tour is a huge endeavor and it’s impossible for one person to hold all of the logistics. I honestly don’t believe that it was a 12 hour rehearsal with no breaks as it’s near physically impossible for people to work out that long without water and bathroom breaks. That said 12 hours of rehearsal is not uncommon for the level at which they are performing. If a Beyoncé backup dancer sued her for a 12 hour rehearsal most would laugh and say “what do you expect it’s Beyoncé”

I don't believe these women. I think they're disgruntled employees. They couldn't keep up and they got fired! Lizzo is not your friend. Exactly. Mark, she was your boss! And this is what this generation does. Come on and try to trash her. I think this is **** ridiculous.
Oh I 100% believe the victims. Because my sister has actually met Lizzo before and my sister Said the same thing that she is very rude disrespectful and arrogant.
I believe the dancers. Lizzo has given herself up to the industry and the "yes" people around her. Glad they are bringing this out and maybe others will join them.
Even before these allegations came up, she always struck me as the loud overweight bully! The fact that people couldn’t see this even before these allegations goes to show that many people lack a good discernment of character
Why is everybody saying stuff like this for music so uplifting I never see her talking about anybody but herself for the most part and she seems to take accountability when she says something out of the way
@matthewpilling9494 it sounds like an excusable comment though... plus I don't think she's that hurt so much anymore I feel that the money has made her controlling like it does many celebrities
And these ladies waiting until they get more information? Should have applied that to all the men they "cancelled". We need to stop worshipping human beings.
I don't believe anything was done to harm them. I think what she did wrong is befriend them and start hanging with them like girl friends. Now they want to act like cry babies and seem sour they were fired.
This is complicated, something doesn't sound right. I want to believe the ladies and I dont want to believe them. Hope the truth comes out after the investigation.
Famous people have two faces ,and most of us see the one in public rarely do we get to see the private human being. If we ever had the chance to know a famous person , we might not like them at all . My gut tells me , the young ladies are telling the truth. I do hope they have strong evidence , so they could win there lawsuit ? If this makes it to Court ? We might find out the truth? Well see.
Lizzo always talks body positivity one day and cries and shows how insecure she is the next day on social media. Lizzo needs therapy and to be held accountable. I was not surprised by these allegations. I do believe innocent until proven guilty.
Most people who believe, “in this body positivity movement “are full of crap. Many fat people specifically fat girls say this to make themselves feel good but if you ask a lot of them privately they will tell you they want to be skinny or small. And the problem is when you’re promoting such a very unhealthy lifestyle you lash out at people in Ways You never knew existed.
It’s wild how much they emphasize “allegedly” and “wait for all the info in court” here but any other day they are sarcastically reading the legal notes and laughing
When are we finally going to accept that we ALL have Layers and we are flawed...Disapointing but hopefully these ladies have good legal representation. Lets hope this can be a long run learning experience for Lizzo, maybe address some demons yet to be dealt with, etc. She can grow from this and be better, and i hope she can.
@@jacksoncowsert6964 in this case, i don't think despite these allegations, that Lizzo is so out of it that she can't take responsibility and recognize other feelings. Do I think it would be treated differently if it was a man? Many men deny, lie and or denigrate victims feelings...even after evidence is presented. To me, that's what makes it worse for people. All anyone of us ever ask is validate our discomfort and feelings. Get in fron t of it, recognize what happned even if you didnt mean it, etc. If she can do that! If others can do that Then there is hope
@@BroadwayBabyyy744 I think it’s called equal opportunity having the same rights as men and that’s where Lizzo is. Women can do this just as easy as American they’re arresting, female teachers for having sex with their students. Now we are now equal offenders. I hope everyone is proud.
Speaking from an entertainment industry lens: Who is/will be hiring these people as dancers for anything anytime soon? I feel they were happy to be on a big ticket and they are having trouble moving on. Power dynamics can also be an employer afraid of their employees suing them.
Totally agree. I’m sure they already are having issues getting jobs as dancers due to their size and now this. No other artist will want to work with them.
Of course, they were happy to be on a big ticket. But surely didn't expect to be mistreated by someone they thought was positive and understanding. I can only imagine their feelings of betrayal.
Well there is a logical reason for that- trump’s character/reputation has been around a very long time and precedes itself. Lizzo on the other hand - this is a first- so let’s wait and see just means we have stuff to learn with her. She hasn’t been around long enough to truly know
@@Danuta628 Either you're consistent with that logic or you aren't. There's multiple allegations against Lizzo that Sarah brought up. It's not the first and that's factually incorrect. Azealia Banks has also made allegations in the past about Lizzo
If you can’t see Trump’s fact whose putting his ego and party before this beautiful country, your crying for and trashing others for then your comparison is mind blowing.
@@Danuta628 I dislike Trump and his family, but I don't believe everything I hear just because he's slimey or has a history. That's nonsense. I'm consistent with everyone. I can't believe I have to say that lol
@@jacquelineotto4148 No, you're biased and choose when to implement logic. Doesn't matter what you think of Trump, either you're consistent with your morals and logic, or keep it shut! Different rules for others is hypocritical
FYI I am not a lizzo fan and I believe those girls are just pissed at Lizzo they're only telling part of a story Lizzo and the girls fell out and now they want to take her down... Lizzo was looking for plus size women to go on tour with her so please those allegations doesn't stand .. they're just pissed because they got let go and couldn't perform the dance moves so they want to say oh she cut me because of how I look. No that's how you feel about yourself she cut you because you couldn't do what you were hired to do. So please go have several seats you knew what you were getting yourself into and you took the job knowing you were not about that life... So pretty much they basically lied on their application
Why do people believe all of this? They're obviously lying and they hate the fact that they're fired and they're not getting good mulah anymore. People loce to hate celebrities because they're MAD JEALOUS!
@@chloer2584 she probably had surgery for being able to see far. Everybody needs glasses to read when they age. If you are short sighted, the only way to not need glasses to read would be to operate only one eye and leave the other as is and read with one read and see far from the other one. If you don’t have surgery and you are short sighed, you just need to lift your glasses to read close. Because what you lose as you age is the ability for your eyes to adapt from close to far vision.
I want to be clear celebrities, especially in the US, are treated like gods and goddesses. These people never hear the word no. I have seen stars at New York Airport, Los Angeles Airport, and London's Heathrow. How they talk about us, the fans to their personal assistant, will shock you.
Lizzo out here projecting her insecurities on others. I’m not judging because I don’t know Lizzo personally but she seems really cantankerous. I hope corporate America will respond with the same energy they used on Jonathan Majors allegations.
Everybody can't handle celebrity status!! Maturity doesn't come with age it comes with experience. Your gift can take you places where your character want keep you!
I remember the dancer in the middle from Whatch Out for the Big Girlzzz. I'm not shocked that she would be on here saying this stuff because her personality never really fit w Lizzo's. She seemed a bit prudish and Lizzo is anything but so I could see her being uncomfortable out partying w her, and I can see Lizzo getting annoyed w her. Lizzo seems like she could have a mean streak and is probably a bit too casual w her dancers and staff. I do hope she bounces back frok this cuz i think some of this might be a bit conflated. Some of it I believe, some I'm taking w a grain of salt.
People need to understand their is a line of professionalism at WORK! People at work are not your personal friends and that is where the blurred lines start. Yes you can become friends with those at WORK but even that you still must tread lightly cuz not everybody is for you and your private space. And if this is true Lizzo and her execs need a leadership and ethics course because this behavior just is not accepted at all places. Yes it's her brand and her company but if you're running it like the wild west people will leave in droves and snitch on the way out so...js
Whoopi is willing to give Lizzo the benefit of the doubt because Lizzo is a woman. If Lizzo was a man. She definitely wouldn't be giving him, the benefit of the doubt.
There is no surprise here. Lizzo has shown on stage anytime she has a speech that she is not a nice person and she very verbally violent including systematically cursing. This case doesn’t sound good but hey…
I've worked for a person who was disrespectful and verbally abusive numerous times to me... and after a while I walked out! I left him overwhelmed with all with MY job responsibilities, an impending personal move, business/ client and relationship issues! 🤗 It was one of the best days of my life, because my mental health was more important than another paycheck from him! 🤗 KARMA did make a VISIT to him... he lost the rest of his staff, his business closed, he got a reputation of being "difficult", and his relationship ended! 🤗
Lizzo is a very sarcastic person....... i could totally see how people can take what Lizzo did as a joke and then turn it around to be something horrible. Lizzo talks and acts big.
I will save judgment until all the facts are presented. We live in a day and time where people will do or say anything for a check. Whoever is telling the truth deserves justice, whether it is the former employees or Lizzo.
This panel has always used poor judgement when it comes to Lizzo, primarily because shes a large black woman. From the beginning you could tell she doesnt give a crap about anybody when she exposed her disgusting *ss at a Lakers game. Not a bit surprised if she did what she's accused of. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift has been the model of class throughout her long career.
I get that everyone has an opinion on this issue and I believe the dancers but I also want to know what the verdict is of their case whenever it's announced. I think justice will be served.
If the Depp v Heard trial taught us anything, it's to wait for the facts to come out in court before taking sides. I'm saving my opinions for when I have all the facts, not just the allegations.
My mom worked at a womens clothing store for decades - all female employees including the store manager and always used to tell me hellish stories of the often intolerable toxic work environment with the catfighting, psychological/mental abuse, and backstabbing going on etc. She often wished there was a male store manager to run the shop for some order and civility!
Yes, I agree, having experienced this in the workplace and personally. It’s like high school behavior with the cliques, and if there is a bully among them, watch out! If you are an individual and true to yourself or you are in any way different from the group, watch out!
They also seem to think inappropriate behavior is ok because "we're all girls here". I worked at a store where all the female employees were asked for their bra size by the manager & I didn't feel like I could say no.
