I don't see how he's not the goat. From the early 80s til now. Different eras of rap. 16 to 55 years old. Put some respect on his name. There was once a time LL cool J was the only rapper I knew. I was like 6 or 7 years old. I'm 41 now. Crazy.
One of the greatest things I’ve heard this shit goes crazy. Been listening to LL for years and this proves he’s still absolutely necessary in this rap shit.
That LL freestyle definitly was legendary. He earned the Greatest of All Time title.Always more nothing less.Just like wine the older it gets.the better the quality.Mad props.
Brother Cool 😎 J still can bus when I was 12 I was listening 🎧 to Ll 😎 J Album Radio in the 80s the wop song was my jam Living Legend u displayed hip hop greatness still sharp and vicious with the lyrics I'm was proud being a Fan then and now blessings 🙏👑.
I didn't know he was doing it as far back as 84 but wow. I started listening to rap in 88 and I've been listening to him since then. He's one of the GOATS for sure. Another underrated rapper is Too $hort. This was AMAZING!
@@shuaibshabazz7361 you do know that even in 1988 they allowed you to play and buy older music right? Also the words "One of" means there are others, which is my opinion. You are entitled to your own also. LOL
@@deezilreactions6120 I looked at the playlist and I knew a few of those songs so I know I've heard it but my 1st album I really loved was Bigger and Deffer. I owned most of the cassettes back in the day but today I play the greatest hits album the most (All World) and it has the I can't live without my Radio song on it.
Nope, it was Muhammad Ali’s wife back in the 90’s, she started ‘Greatest of All Time, Inc. (G.O.A.T. Inc.) to license Ali’s IP It wasn’t till around 2000 that LL named his album
@donaldkey9074 No LL used it first. GOAT Inc wasn't around in the 90s. And the earliest was 2001 when a book was published as a tribute about Ali being the GOAT.
@@jayesonmack3108 you’re wrong, it was started in the early 90’s right after the Bulls first championship There’s this thing called Google, feel free to use it
i feels that! Grew up with LL, and met him in Philly when he was in his early 20's (I'm 7 years older; i was a writer back then); he's clearly in my top 10 ...
We really need to stop calling verses "freestyles" in HipHop... it pisses me off. Just like we need to stop calling half that trap and radio bulls*** HipHop...its NOT. LL still got it though. Gimme a raw boom bap beat and an MC and Im set...
It's been done since the beginning of time . A freestyle was a verse over a random beat ... Thats what makes "Off The Top" Freestyles that more exciting.
Maaaaan L murdered that!!! It's true...L ain't it got no more. He's got something else!!!! I hear people sayin somebody like Black Thought wrote it for him. For those saying that they never the original Rock the Bells, You'll Rock, .357 Break It on Down, Why Do You Think They Call It Dope?, No Frontin Allowed, Straight From Queens, etc. Don't sleep on Cool J!!!
I have never heard of anyone writing for LL , He wrote songs for other people. But it must be that dope of a freestyle if they think Black Thought wrote it, He has one of the best freestyles of all time!
Yo Dizzle what's the deal baby? **** Yo my bottom line is simple that was dope and L.L. cool J. is dope Period.... **** And you're right I agree with you L. L. cool J. doesn't get spoken about enough.... **** That's my word I shut down plenty of rap arguments / debates by dropping his name.... **** And let's not get it twisted he's not one of the goats he is the goat remember he coined the phrase The goat L. L. Cool J. is the greatest of all time....😎🕶•°•°•°•°
no I don't listen to hip hop, but to be fair I started having interest thx to netflix. I don't know this guy, but to my limited knowledge it sounds like rza lyrics. the man doesn't look 20, he looks more like fiftyish sixty maybe leaning seventy, doesn't that qualify as old? smh do you guys know how to read? but the again i might just be a young punk who know nothing... and i'm ok wit that.
Those was some hot bars, but people need to learn what a freestyle is because that wasn't one. And its not like LL can't freestyle because he's done it before, he even had a couple on his records, like Eat Em Up L & No Airplay. Not trying to take away his shine by you gotta call it is what it is. And It was some hot bars & verses but it wasn't off the dome. Remember he did that when he was on Rap City and they put him on the spot and then he spit his whole verse that ended up being on I'll bomb on the G.O.A.T. Album, which actually was on some other mixtape before that came out.
