Absolutely correct. Jay Z took LL Cool J formula. Hit em with hard-core songs and then hit em with the lady songs. Ain't No Nigga, Hey Papi, Change Clothes, Me And My Girlfriend and the list goes on. @@troyharrison1575 I'm going to be honest Troy I haven't heard it. But was Eminem's verse hot? Was it in the vein of other diss tracks? I don't think so. Melly mel is an elder statesman. There was a time when other m c's and groups were emulating his rap style, but that was a very long time ago. Grandmaster flash and the furious 5 was the ultimate group back in the late 70s early 80s because of Melly's rhymes primarily. But he always seemed bitter to me because he feels he doesn't get his due, and he's partly right. But unlike LL Melly didn't change with The Times, His rap style stayed in the late 70s early 80s🤷🏿

I went to Rock the Bells concert last year in Queens. It was the best concert I've ever been to in my life. The food stands were all really cool too. I tried a couple of Bun Bs trill burgers. LL really put a cool event together. It was truly a fantastic time. 🙂💯

If Hip-Hip was still like L.L. Cool J’s freestyle here, I would still be listening to it. That flow reminded me of how excited I was as a kid to pick up 12” singles and slap them on the Technics. Now I’ve got to listen to Marley Marl (featuring L.L. Cool J) - I Be Gettin’ Busy.
