Brilliant...well done Marc for facing the bit where you had the accident...the bit where you came out of the woods reminded me of Goyt valley with the tree stumps...I have never understood why they leave the stumps cos it looks like a post apocalyptic landscape...The bit when you were going over the planked areas had me worried...whatever walking boots I wear you can guarantee I end up doing the splits or slipping on those horrible things, and well done for breaking your records, I would have broken my neck...Cheers Lez.🙂 🤩👍
Thanks Lez, I was quite nervous going down where I crashed again, I was also nervous on the trail leading to it as the flash backs started to come, i think I did it at half the speed but I didn’t care, just wanted to get down it haha. The wooden sections had a wire mesh over it so was quite grippy, would be lethal without it, I was surprised to see how many PR’s I had broken, mostly climbs but the fastest descent I beat on the hardtail, crazy lol, it was a great solo ride 👍🏻
How apt I was looking at Llandegla to go to for one of my next proper ht ride I did Gisburn last Sunday . I thought it was brilliant what's your thoughts
The HT is perfect for Degla, lots of climbing and lots of flow trails, you will enjoy it, only ridden Gisburn once, i did enjoy it when i went, was a few years ago now though, Hully Gully was my favourite 👍
Only been there once and have often thought it would be more fun on a hardtail. I'll have to go on my fat bike one day 🙂 Nice one, great video and riding 👍
Well ridden mark! I haven’t been over to Degla since I rode with Phill and Ant on the Hardtails. The new natural trails are very good even if you just session them and not bother with the rest of the loop
My last crash at Cannock on the off piste was on a trail I've done dozens of times so it does and can happen to anyone. Not a fan of degla tbh, I've vowed never to return on a hardtail haha
The better you know a trail, the faster you ride it, until you crash 🤣 I certainly don’t class myself as a fan of degla, good for your fitness though, i actually enjoyed it on the hardtail, I only go every couple of years or so though 😀👍🏻 the off piste trails look quite good though 👍🏻
@@HallMarc_Trails 42.5mm stem that's length. I'm asking about size. You need 31.8mm stem to make bars more compient. Front tyre I have 2.6 and I run 18 to 20 psi. Rear you need Vittoria airliner and 22psi max. That will make your bike ride very soft and eating all vibrations.
Ah yes, 35mm, I’m currently running a tube in the rear, hence the 30psi, I usually run 20 front, 25 rear on the hardtail when tubeless, a bit less on the full suss, I quite like maxxis, never tried vittoria, I usually ride technical steep trails.
@@HallMarc_Trails you keep your tyre. I put insert inside your tyre so you can run lower pressure and protect rim. I like maxxis too. Nice tyres. I heard you saying your bike feels stiff so I thought to drop you few tips on how to make it feel better
Perfect for the hardtail mate, made for it really especially with those climbs! Bet that was surreal riding past where you crashed as well! So different now without the trees, that was what stuck with me last time I was there! Not fancy the big hips at end of b line part two 🤣🙈
Very weird without the trees, as for doing hip jumps down b line part 2, I was happy to just get down 🤣 I’m fairly sure I wouldn’t be hitting any hip jumps anyway 🤣 I was quite impressed with the hardtail at Degla, not overly exciting but I did enjoy it, I’m in no rush to go back though 🤣👍🏻
@@HallMarc_Trails 🤣 Interested to see the new natural trails though, meant to be a little crazy in the wet?! Yeh that hip jump at the end is massive, almost out of keeping with Degla tbh 🤷🏻♂️
