Welcome to my MTB channel. I started this channel back in 2009, uploaded a couple of poor quality videos then took a massive break from MTB until 2017, since my return i have being quite consistent in uploading a video every week - 2 weeks, i've met some of the greatest guys ever through meet ups on RU-vid and we mainly ride places within a couple of hours drive, locations include North Wales, The Peak District, The Lake District, Shropshire, Lancashire & Staffordshire. My riding preference has changed over the last 4 years since riding with better riders, off piste, technical descents, natural singletrack is what we tend to look for mostly, it's all about the progression and getting out and enjoying ourselves, we always have a good laugh and try to get that across in my videos as much as possible, we have some big plans and new locations for 2022. Subscribe if you want to follow me on this journey 👍
Exactly, i probably should have just included them in the original video, they were at one point, i deleted them to cut the length, oh well, i used them eventually haha, thanks mate 👍🏻
It was a brutal day for sure! 🙈🤣 These are sometimes the best clips as really captures the day and mood from the ride. Great little compliation mate, mine should be soon enough, just a monster to edit it all together 🙈
I agree, it’s sometimes better to include these kind of clips regardless of length of video, it’s about how you want to remember it, that’s why I had to do this unused clip video, it’s also why i can’t wait to see your video as you always capture the best non riding clips 😄 I really need to leave the camera rolling more, thanks mate 👍🏻
@@HallMarc_TrailsI never mean to capture them either 🤣 I genuinely forgot to turn the camera off 🙈🤣 Always get the best clips from them though 😁 I get lucky
Yes really enjoyed the video Marc, you were flying towards North America decent and cleaned the last decent into ladybower always a bit steep and tricky. One of the best Peak District rides imo! Battling the weather also well done it’s pretty exposed over the top section no cover whatsoever! No mention of the wrist either? Must be sorted!
Yes, i really enjoyed this one, i can definitely feel my confidence returning, the wrist is a lot better, it doesn’t hurt too much when riding, still wearing a support ( just whilst riding) as it’s still a bit weak not thinking about it helps a lot, i loved that last steep section into the last part of the trail, such a buzz after that, hopefully get out with you again soon Paul, we’re due one 👍🏻
Yeah, it’s a fantastic bit of singletrack, i would normally agree but cut gate with the cheeky steep Rocky section that we didn’t do last time really added to that descent, possibly because it’s new to me, either way, both are my favourite descents on that route, if not in the peaks, weather is ridiculous for June 😩
The weather is just crazy isn't it at the moment! Great video mate, I know that last steep bit you did, you did great on that section 👍🏻 Loved this route when we did! At least Jon's brakes gave up at about the right time 🙈
Thanks mate, I forgot how good it actually was, love the last steep section, much better with brakes to rely on when needed 🤣 the section before that steep bit, we didn’t do last time, that was steeper 😱🤣 great fun though 😀👍🏻
🤣 it gets quite confusing when they’re both out, not because they look anything alike but because they have the same name 🤣 I usually call Gandalf Jon when that happens 🤣👍🏻
Akways rewarding is Cut gate. Amazing descent is Mickledon edge then the final one to Cranberry Clough is possibly even better. Great video....but we need a refund in summer 24. Shocking conditions 😬
Oh yes, a route that’s blessed with a couple of the finest, you certainly know you’ve been on a ride, better without the horrid weather, if I can remember that far back 🤣 thanks mate 👍🏻
Only done Cut Gate once. Had a puncture coming down Lockerbrook and had a tube in for the whole of Cut Gate. Had to tiptoe down all of the descents but it was a properly mint ride 👍
Thanks mate, I’m sure we will get more opportunities to ride this year, was great to meet you again, it’s been too long, there’s plenty in the peaks I could show you too that you would love 👍🏻
It’s still not 100%, I think there’s some tendon damage but it appears to feel a bit stronger each week, it’s fine for riding, it’s coming off and putting force on it that worries me 😬🤣
Look amazing. Love the video and route. Well defo give it a try next time I'm there. Usually stay at the hostel in Elterwater so perfect from the door. Thank you
Thanks mate, appreciated 👍🏻 it’s a great loop, you will enjoy it, we’re thinking of doing a 2 dayer ourselves next month, make a weekend of it with beers 😀👍🏻
Those views at the top remind me of scenes from the Lord of the Rings movies. Really cool looking area. Some of those descents looked like your Jacob's Ladder trail. Super rocky. Nice riding as usual and thank you or sharing your ride at the Lake District.
Thanks mate, appreciated, the lakes is such a beautiful area, probably a lot rougher than Jacobs ladder, different terrain really, more slate about, back in the peaks tomorrow to an old classic 👍🏻
If only we were guaranteed rides like this every week, at least we get to appreciate them when we get them, can’t wait to get back there again, with you next time as well hopefully , thanks mate 👍🏻
Loved that mate!! What a day this turned into!! I cant remember being that exhausted after a ride, like I was after this one 🙈 Hest got to me, so my video will be a fair bit of moaning 🤣 No chicken for going round that feature, get that wrong and in a world of pain! Enjoyed that 😁
Thanks mate, it was a seriously great day, it certainly took everything out of us, totally worth it though, disappointed I didn’t do that feature but not ashamed, it’s definitely not nothing, these are the best days for sure 👍🏻
Thanks mate, it was such an ace day, I’ve missed rides like this, the weather always adds to the greatness, looking forward to more like this, hopefully with the nice weather too 😀👍🏻
Looked a great day tbh bro . Great vid . Can't wait watch Jason oh yea he forgot his go pro lol. I'm not gonna say I'll do um either as no lifts n I'll jst watch u boys vids lol . But I'm always up for meeting u lads again .
Thanks mate, yeah it’s a shame about Jason’s camera, I’m sure his video would be a bit different than mine 🤣 cheers for watching, always appreciated 👍🏻
Went there when it was bone dry, and i thought it was ace. But I also thought a little rain wouldn't do the tracks to much harm, but not that much, aha
Conditions looked wetter than Dalby for me the other day and that was pretty slick in places. The frustration in tricky conditions is that it's so difficult to keep momentum, even on trails you know. Great video and a real insight into why us Brits are obsessed with the weather 😂
Yes, definitely more frustrating when you know the trails, might as well be completely different lol, that's the beauty of it, you never know what to expect 🤣👍. Well, that's a lie, we expect difficult conditions most weeks 🤣 thanks Jonathan, looking forward to the Dalby vids 👍
