Everybody should respect this kid. The fact that he walked it off and played tough is amazing. I hope that kid sees all these wonderful comments. But also think about how the pitcher feels too. I know it sucks. Great job the the batter! 👍😁
I feel bad for the pitcher because I know hot it feels to hit someone and then the batter just hits the ground in pain…it’s happens to me more than I have wanted it to
FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ARE SAYING THAT THE BALL HIT RYAN’S HAND FIRST WHAT GAME WERE YOU WATCHING? LIKE SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE SAID IN THE COMMENTS THE BALL CLEARLY HIT HIM IN THE MOUTH AND THEN HIS HAND!
Dad's right there, immediately, telling him he's okay. I can't count the amount of times I've held on to one of my boys after they hurt themselves and told them they were okay.
I remember when I was a youngster playing little league, my dad made me wear a clear plastic facemask on my helmet (Kind of like a hockey facemask, but only covering the jaw and mouth). I hated it because I was the only one to wear it, but my teammates called me "Robo-Ben" so I got a good nick name out of it.
I have one too. it's pretty common in my league. I would chose to wear that other than getting stiches and after a while I got used to it so it's a good thing. that is a good nickname as well😂
he was telling HIS SON he's ok and calm doWn because the faster the heart beats the more he bleeds. staying calm and breathing steadily helped slow the bleeding.
I love that we’re just jamming cameras in the kids face while he’s bleeding from the mouth. And thankfully for the mic so we can get his excruciating cries… What a cruel business practice.
Actually the camera man is nowhere near the fallen boy, the camera has a very powerful zoom lens and whatever the camera is pointed at also picks up the sound as if your standing right there. It's the camera crews job to capture footage of everything so don't be mislead by your faulty judgement. Glade the boy is okay but that will happen it's all part of playing ball or any other sport, we brush ourselves off suck up the pain and get back out there and play the game but I guess kids today aren't as tough as they were back in the 60's.
@@rickblechl5684 obviously it’s zoomed in… get your brain checked and read the last part again. Also kids today throw much harder than in the 60s so of course it hurts much more, the only thing soft is those noodle arms you old heads had back then you elderly pedestrian.
I got beamed in the face in little league. I lost my front adult teeth and still have to wear fake teeth because of it. And didn't even get a scholarship lol
@@nvpcse that's exactly what you say to a kid to calm him down lol if my father told me everything is OK then I believe him cause he's.........MY FRICKING DAD! LOL
I would say “You are going to be okay, NOT you are fine and okay because you shouldn’t lie to a kid. You can still say positive and encouraging things without lying to the child. I would have said” Don’t worry, you are going to be okay, you are strong, you git this ect.
the same thing happened to me in high school and the pitcher immediately went up to help me, lost a tooth, and i guess he felt really bad so he threw as slow pitch so I can hit it and got a double
I know hot it feels. Back when i played in the Fall a few years ago, I got hit straight in the eye, and I lost my eyesight in my left eye for an hour. Doesn't feel good.
I play city and travel baseball, I’ve been hit a lot in my jaw, hip, head, etc and I’ve never started bleeding from it, this kid is very tough and I hope he did very well as he was growing up.
Guys this was 12 years ago the kid in question that got hit in this video currently plays for columbia university a d1 school pretty amazing if u ask me
How blind are the supposed announcers saying he got hit in the wrist even on fastballs no one reacts screaming bloody murder on a hit wrist... It's the type of thing that happens when hit in the cheek even on the helmet.
As a baseball player I’ve taken bad hops with the ball and thinking the ball is going to hit my helmet when it hits my mouth and it doesn’t hurt at first it makes your whole mouth go numb and you feel it after when I was at my travel game the ball hit my right in between my mouth and nose I lost a tooth and my nose was broken it freaks you out a lot I feel bad for this kid
"...he was hardly able to turn his head because he's waiting for the ball to break..." BULL. SHIT. You've seriously got to be joking. Number one, even IF that was meant to be a curve ball, it's still common practice to GET OUT OF THE WAY as there's a very slim chance a curve ball thrown that high and inside by a TWELVE YEAR OLD is going to have any significant break on it, or even still, be called a strike. He didn't move because HE'S TWELVE, being thrown a 60 mph ball, from 46 feet away...
I have watched this numerous times and I feel like the crowd was not supported of the mother because nobody said anything to her she looked back at one point and nobody even you know talk to her or anything so you could just see that there was tension and maybe it's because her husband was the coach
As a softball player, this is why I think baseball players should have a protective face cover on their helmets like softball players. First of all baseball players pitch faster, second they throw more wild pitches, and softball players never even get hit in the face. Only in the thigh, knee, booty, and ankle. I hope yall agree..
When I was 9 I had accidently fell and cut my leg open on a peice of medal and had to have 11 stitches and crutches and that's my story please blow my comment up❤
I know this was 11 years ago but I still get a kick out of so many people stunned that adults stayed under control as if this is both impossible and inappropriate. A parent keeping her cool is fully appropriate. Yelling and screaming and crying is not normal or healthy. Sure, might be very hard to stay under control but should be the norm just the same. And I have to give a shout out to the lefty catcher...
That pitcher should’ve been ejected. Obviously intentional battery. Couldn’t prove assault in court, but that’s at least battery. Terrible child with terrible parents.
Much comments are so disgusting against this Poor Boy, this is a old video okay but the behavior from his mom and Trainer is horrible she going 2,5 Minutes later to him in the locker room
