Louisiana and Curaçao played in the 2019 Little League World Series World Series Championship. Louisiana tried to become the first team from their state to win the LLWS, and also be the first team to come back and win it after losing their first game since 2001. Curaçao tried to win it for the second time in their history. A team from the United States won 2 of the previous 3 LLWS titles.

Wow Louisiana pitching and hitting was amazing. The 3rd base coach cost them 2 runs and a 10 run slaughter but still a shutout and 2 hitter against Curacao the second hottest hitting team in this tournament. Congrats to Louisiana and Purcell. I live about 6 miles from River Ridge and I can tell you, those kids were showered with attention for a while. They had a special parade for them, Mardi Gras style, and then later in the year some of them were invited to ride floats in the real Mardi Gras parades. I think they were more than a bit overwhelmed a few times. The thing is, River Ridge isn't really a town, it's a quiet little subdivision of unincorporated Jefferson Parish near the Mississippi River and the small town of Harahan. It has a mix of modest homes and mansions. Nice place to live, and rarely floods badly.

Unfortunately Curaçao threw two of their top three pitchers in the International title game and Profar threw 85 pitches a couple of days ago so they were super thin on the mound but either way congrats to Louisiana! Their pitcher was unbelievable and 22 &23 might be one of the top duos in LLWS history no cap!

@Mr Davs Martha's instincts and footwork at shortstop are advanced way beyond his age. He's also an incredible pitcher with a great mound presence. It's hard to base who the higher upside player is just on who got more base hits in a series of little league games. Just watching Martha's instincts in the field showed he is far above his peers and should go places in baseball.
