The Cartune Company (2003) Ltd in New Zealand does 1uz and 3uz conversions / parts and wiring. We have been working on UZ Toyota V8 engines since 2004 when we did our own Hiace van to transport dirtbikes around NZ. Since then we have swapped to doing mainly just Lexus V8 work from a family owned farm hidden away in our paradise , surrounded by the NZ native bush. Make yourself a smoke machine all you need is a glow plug a psi gauge regulator valve a large cord use in a kerosene lamp baby oil assemble all of this on a schedule 40 PVC pipe cap one end use threaded cap on the other end and you will have a smoker directions found on the web

Very cool idea. I have a professionally made unit which has been part of the business before I took the business over. It was a very flash unit back in about 2000 when we got it. Very modern at the time. Cheers Kelvin

Good luck finding what’s wrong with the dam truck . I spent a zillion hrs on this thing trying to sort it. Only put the clacker pump and tank to see if it helped (didn’t) also had fuel pressure reg on return didn’t help no matter what pressure. Tryed two ecu replaced leads form good running motor rotors caps plugs egnigthers air flow meter etc etc still didn’t run well under load but still dayley drive it for years

Thanks , Its all sorted now and drives awesome. We did a temporary fix in this one and had it diagnosed then when he returned we flicked it apart and fixed it properly. Its a beautiful truck. Awesome to drive and the new owner is stoked with it. Cheers

I am guessing the pres. regulator on the fuel rail isn't allowing enough pressure? Interesting diagnosis.

I have an A341 with surf transfer in my shed. Kinda makes me want to ditch the R series box and put the Auto in. Just don't know how id hook the "kickdown" cable, ( i think that's what u always call it in your videos) as i have flipped manifold and no Trans harness. Damn

you do know I will come to Tasmania myself and beat you with the "kickdown cable" until you call it by the correct name. haha. Cheers
