Step one: Turn the printer off and then on Turn the printer off, and then back on to clear the error. Step two: Update the firmware Current firmware needs to be downloaded from hp.care/48BZYpa using a USB flash drive and the Preboot Menu. Our printer gets stuck at 19% when installing the firmware from the USB, any ideas why? It’s the correct file version for our printer model but always gets stuck at 19%. I even formatted the HDD in the printer too.

@@HPSupport Our printer closed the repository complete successfully. I go back to CONTINUE trying to boot the setting menu... but it does not go there - instead displays error 49.380C and the button restart. Any ideas? is a relatively new printer. HP Color LaserJet MFP E57540-1 any suggestions? Or repair man that I can call??? Locally HELP!

If prompted for a password, type 12345678. This is the default password to log in. If you created a custom password and do not remember it, go to your printer to get the password. Press the Wireless and Information buttons at the same time. Regards, HP Support

@@HPSupport HP 700 Color MFP M775 We are a charity and we were gifted 2 of these units. One works fine, the other gets a Error : Error:99.09.67 not bootable. When I hit continue or admin I get "Password Required" Please sign in. I called the IT department of the company who donated the units and they never had a password for the printer. They suggested that the default password might be on the back of the machine near the serial number, but I could not find it. They wiped the hard drive with the employee details and may have deleted the OS. If I replaced the hard drive, would that boot up or is it a bios password for the motherboard? Is there a place that the original owner can call to get the passcode or is there a default password? I have tried all the normal codes, 1111, 0000, 9999, 1234 with no luck. I have the updated firmware and tried to plug in the USB but did not work.

Thanks for the reply. Some HP printers come with a default administrator password. For the HP LaserJet 700 Color MFP M775, try using common default passwords such as: admin password 1234 If these do not work, the printer may not have a default password set, or it may have been changed. 2. Reset to Factory Defaults If you cannot recover the password, resetting the printer to factory defaults may be necessary. This will reset all settings, including the administrator password. Note that this process will also reset network settings and any customized configurations. Reset via Printer Control Panel: Access the Service Menu: Power off the printer. Power on the printer and immediately press the Back button repeatedly until the display reads "Permanent Storage Init." Perform the Reset: Use the arrow buttons to navigate to the Service menu. Select Restore Defaults. Confirm the action and allow the printer to reset. Reset via Embedded Web Server (EWS): If you can still access the printer’s Embedded Web Server: Open a Web Browser: Enter the printer’s IP address in the address bar to access the EWS. Reset Settings: Navigate to the General or System tab. Look for Restore Factory Settings or Reset options. Follow the prompts to reset the printer. I hope this helps. Regards, HP Support
