How to load trimmer line on a GREENWORKS Commercial 82V Tap & Go Head. For models: GT160, GT161, 82T16, 82T161 Replacement Head P/N: AT160 www.greenworkscanada.ca/produ...
Man was that simple. Watched the video went and installed my line. Nothing to it. I love my 80 volt lawnmower and line trimmer. I will never mess with gas again.
I love my Greenworks Trimmer for the exception of the string line bump head assembly . My trimmer must be an old one as to reload the line, you have to take the bump head apart and restring the line the old way. My question is: Can you replace the old head with a new one as in your demonstration? A second question: Where do you buy a replacement bump head and/or replacement parts for the trimmer? I weed eat on soil that is very hard/rocky on the bump knob and have had to replace the bump knob and spool at least three times, the trimmer is only four years old. The ONLY place that I've found that carries the bump head is an off brand supplier that was found on an extensive GOOGLE search.
Thank you. This is helpful. Can you tell me, why doesn't Greenworks offer a brush cutter head? They have everything else possible, but I need more than string to whack down the heavier brush. thx!
There are two models now available that take a brush blade. 82TB161 & 82TB181. The come fitted with a string trimmer but have a Grass Blade option in the box. Most people are not a big fan of the Grass blades. It's no problem switching over to a brush cutter blade. It's a 1" arbor on the tool. I use a 22 tooth blade for cutting small trees and clearing trails. Works great. Here is a link ... www.greenworkscanada.ca/product/82tb16-16-brushless-bike-handle-string-trimmer-47
how or what i need to do to turn the knob in order to wind the line after i thread the line thru the holes? The knob is stuck. Thank you for your help.
Note: This head comes on 82V Commercial models only. The part number is AM210. It can be purchased and retro-fitted onto the 48V Prosumer models. Not sure about 40V or 80V models purchased from big box.
I can't get the line to go into the hole because the old line is in there and it won't come out. WTF, do I have to buy a new head every time the line runs out??????????? Also, great job putting the markings on the part that gets worn down. I'm off to find a video by someone who actually uses the trimmer not a brand new head.
i have the 60v st60l00 model. can this attachment retro-fit to this model? i am having a terrible time changing string on mine. the "crossover" maneuver ALWAYS gets stuck.
Not sure. We only do the Commercial Products. I know we can retrofit heads on the 48V trimmers. Never tried the 40V, 60V or 80V. I wouldn't be suprised.
God I wish it was this easy, used mine once and now it's useless, can't get the line to load. Also, tf GW selling units with almost no line loaded, mine maybe had 16 inches tops.
The PRO 60V 13" TORQDRIVE™ CORDLESS STRING TRIMMER W/ 2.0 AH BATTERY has been an absolute nightmare to maintain in reference to line-loading. The “Load N Go” feature does not work according to instructions or per this video. What was worse was the customer care! Absolute waste of time and money. This was a brand new unit used once with the line that came with it, since then it’s been horrible! Final suggestion was to take it to a shop. When asked who’s paying for this, I never heard from them again...
This is terrible to reload. In the video it turns easy, but the one we bought requires A LOT of force for each little turn. We are already looking for another trimmer.
My trimmer head is stuck on my trimmer with pieces of old crappy line stuck on the inside. The tabs on the head don't depress far enough to get it apart. This video is useless.
try pushin in the tabs , one at a time , with a skrewdriver , careful not to stab yourself , they will click in the open position and stay there , when your pushin in the second tab , be ready to grab the head cover , cause it's spring loaded , make a note of the position of head cover , so you can put it back on easier , maybe make a mark on it
