My uncle who was a diesel mechanic for more than twenty years. Always said automatic transmission fluid makes the best injector cleaner. Because it has detergents in it and it lubricates. God bless
@ Chris, perhaps there are ash debris in the haul trucks lungs from the cleanup the other day? Ash/concrete and drywall dust will get thru any filter:(
It's a fuel problem so how does ash have any way of contaminating that? Likely it's just dirty fuel system (or excess water) and new filters/draining the water separator will fix it.

@@toad3048 Symptoms are much different - dirty air filter means all cylinders low on power, which is not what was said to be the problem - but perhaps you're hard of hearing? On the other hand, clogged/leaky injector only affects one cylinder - but since he said the problem was getting better, it seems like dirty fuel is the culprit and draining the water separator and replacing fuel filters seems the most likely culprit. Engine wont get better with a clogged air filter - it only gets worse until it's changed/cleaned, so symptoms point to a fuel issue.

Hey Chris, put a gallon of gas in your fuel tank with it being full of Diesel and that will also clean your injectors better than anything that they have on the shelf and it will not hurt it
@@hd1987hd Yupper, on the islands, we get a foot or more in a day when one comes calling. Soaks through the sand rather fast or fills up the sounds. We call them bays up North.

In the UK we have weight control in the truck cab to calibrate the same load every time, also the boards you have on the sides are called greedy boards. Stops the ministry from nabbing us..
Ironic you're having injector problems after loading all those ashes! Think perhaps those times you left it running while loading - it inhaled a bit too much? Good luck with the storm. Looks like that storm is being pretty stubborn over thatta way!
Thanks for the video mate ,$1000 dollars for one injector is criminal when you see all they are ,but from bitter experience Volvo marine can be the pirates of the nautical maintenance world ,I think Volvo marine operate under the assumption that maintenance becomes expensive to a point ,that they hope you upgrade your engines ,but in fairness they generally make a very good product.
The amount of dirt that truck hauls around is amazing to me. I think Chris has said in the past on one of the earlier pond builds that the truck when loaded is north of 160,000 pounds. That’s every truck full. Dang.

That truck loaded would be around 95,000 to 100,000. And. They dont typically have to much as far as horsepower. Cuz there geared so well. Mine is same size. Different make. And its only Like a 270 hp scania diesel with 5 spd automatic

Yeah it sounds like an injector is going out. I heard that it sounded like it was missing yesterday on your video. It could be that the filters are dirty.
Depending on which way the wind comes from do you think there will be any topsoil left after the hurricane passes over, it being so light and fluffy n all. Enjoyed the video bro.

also what's bad for having an off-road truck is you don't care about getting the side of it all dirty I'm spilling half of it so therefore when you're loading trucks where it does matter like that blue one you get it all over it cuz you're not used to being careful that's just my opinion I don't get it on anyting no matter what I'm loading
truck drivers.... If I've learned anything since CDL school, truck drivers have an inflated sense of their IQ and abilities. Many can only do the one thing and that is drive, they don't think, they don't ask questions, they don't pay attention to whats going on around them... They are the all knowing all seeing belligerent fools that keep the rest of us frustrated all day. Now, many are owner operators most of these guys are pretty ok, its the steering wheel holder "outlaw trucker/supertrucker" type that get on my nerves
Not. Much if it was not going on the road. My rock truck with out a gate holds the same as my hyway truck with a gate. Maby a yard or so more in the rock truck
Chris is perhaps 200 miles from the Outer Banks, closer to Wilmington. Not a lot of roads out here so my one option from Asheboro to OBX is route 64. NC's shoreline is very weird as is the length of the State. Going NE to SW, Moyock NC to Cherokee NC is 500 miles due to the shape of NC. One would think the ocean would be dead East from Nags Head but it is almost NE so the sun rises where one would perceive as SE.

your topsoil looks more like plain sandy dirt, not much of an organic component to it. Must be a regional thing calling it topsoil whereas the opposite would be clay.

@ 5:07.....reminds me of the idiot driver I had.....Told him numerous times to keep me in his mirror and don't stop backing-up until you hear my horn...after like the 4th time...I got a heaping bucket(3-3 1/2 yards),raised it up high and dropped it close to the tail gate,then reached in and dragged that flippin' truck to me. Had his face plastered against the windshield!!...That ole fart had to learn the hard-way!!...Next day,...he drove out from a fill job with the bed raised and took out electric lines,cable and telephone...He got back to the pit,..I asked him what happened..."I don't know,I saw some wires on my side mirror,so I got out and pulled them off, and came back to the pit"...I responded: "You're Fired"...park you truck and "Oh Yeah,Vote TRUMP 2020!"..
