Behind-the-scenes of our March, including some April Crapshots, and the newest episode of commodoreHUSTLE! Support Loading Time (and other things!): / loadingreadyrun
I have to keep watching the Loading Times to remind myself that Alex is not dumb, and that he is dumb in the episodes because it is his character in the commodoreHustle universe and that he is doing it for our entertainment. Just wanna say how much I appreciate Alex right now.
I am FAR too impressed with the disability access that place has. those doors are huge. those floors are so smooth. lift with low buttons. look at that bathroom. you could swing a chair around that place no troubles. They even put that door on an angle so it's easy to approach it without having to turn weird. your building is amazing. I'm jealous.
For anyone wondering what Cori was wondering at 33:19 there, "Skuzzy" is SCSI or "Small Computer System Interface", which is an older type of peripheral and disk interface for PCs.
I've missed seeing Kathleen on camera since Penelope came into our lives, but I'm glad to see she's still writing and participating! And righteously broiling Alex and Beej.
FYI that 'power of two' die is from a Backgammon set. This "Doubling Cube" (not to be confused with the MTG Fifth Dawn artifact of the same name) is used for the much ignored/unknown 'betting' portion of the game. It is never rolled; it tracks the match value of a game(thus a doubled game would count as two wins for 'best of x', or 'first to x wins'). Players may double the value at the start of their turn, the other player may choose to drop the game before the double takes effect if they feel they will lose anyway. There is no hard limit to the value, though it rarely exceeds four (according to the wiki page). After the first double, players take turns doubling the value, so that one player may not double twice in a row. The Doubling Cube adds strategy to match play, but somewhat ironically, not to money play.
@kathleen thanks for reminding me that you are my favorite, although my sense of humor has been influenced by all of LRR, I feel like I should show some kind of appreciation for that every once in a while
Holy crap, there actually *is* a Multi Purpose Room! I thought they'd just put up a sign to make an awesomely awkward joke, but it's really there. Now I wanna know what the Multi Purpose Room is *actually* used for...
