You can't pause. You never were able to. Pause button? Never existed. Buy the game: store.steampowered.com/app/56... (Honestly the strategy is pausing at least once.)
Ok hear me out AUTO CLICKER bind it to auto click space like 50 times persecond leave thr video on loop and watch as the world falls to the might of Hokma
@@viciousbee9151Technically, it’s 11. You have to fill the bar after 10. So basically you can’t employ the Tipheret strategy as you have to fill the bar twice after the midnight and not once. Me not realizing that killed like 12 of my agents.
@@ljthedrummer673playing without pausing is purely unfair :( i cant play like that i get horrible fps so i am NOT handling a midnight ordeal with 10 fps without pausing
Tip for anyone doing the suppression: You can't pause through the usual way (space bar) but you can pause and collect your thought through the pause menu (ESC key)
It's beautiful, Yet horrendous. It is the sound of everything collapsing around you, The sound of everything falling out of control as time itself speeds up yet grinds to a halt, The sound of this unique brand of hell starting to become it's own kind of horrifying beauty, The sound forces you to admire it, Because you already know nothing can be done to stop it. You know this because you've been here before, haven't you? Maybe once before, Maybe thousands of times. _Maybe millions._ Perhaps even more than that. You'll be here forever.
Ah yes, the man who can't let go of the past and because of that screws up manager's time manipulation to make them repeat the same script over and over again, knowing deep down that this is all pointless anyway. Very Hokma.
Please don’t be violet midnight Please don’t be violet midnight Please don’t be violet midnight Please don’t be violet midnight Please don’t be violet midnight “Midnight of Violet: The God Delusion” FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
This guy wasn’t horribly difficult, you just have to take it slow and do one abnormality at a time, use pause instead of timestop to collect your thoughts, etc. That said, as much as I think Hokma’s suppression to be a genuinely smart subversion of mechanics, he is by far the most anxiety inducing. By this point in the game, your muscle memory is hardwired to view the pause button as your safe haven. This whole suppression was a mostly internal struggle to avoid the space bar. Never mind the amount of times I hit “Retry The Day” thinking it was the return to game button.
I was able to beat him on the first try, but that took a WHILE, and a crap ton of nerves because I did not get lucky with the Midnight. Dealing with Violet Midnight during Hokma is hell on Earth. What I did get lucky with is Nothing There escaping and beating the shit out of one of the altars, after which it got suppressed by Rabbits. One of the most memorable L Corp moments for me ever.
Fun story, I played the game with a mod that changed the speed options from 1x/1.5x/2x to 1x/2x/5x. It did not occur to me to take it off during Hokma's suppression until it was too late. AND I had WhiteNight in my facility. AND I rolled violet midnight. I somehow cleared it with no deaths through liberal use of PrtSc+Esc, but holy hell was that one of my most anxiety-inducing gaming experiences of all time.
Ah this gives me good memories of ''WHY DID I PAUSED IT?! MY BEST NUGGET DIED!'' Edit with a fun fact: This Sephirah Meltdown is very similar to price of silence except it kills/panic a nugget every time it pauses but price of silence is...well...for those who doesn't know let's say it's painful to watch
So tense suppression for my record, I reckon. Aside from Binah suppression, of course. Dodging bullets and qliphoth meltdowns on Alephs. Second part really do his job - it gives shivers on my shoulders and reminds me something from far past... LC has truly sad plot...
hi, checking in here again almost a year later, and yup !!!! i can still say with confidence that THIS GILF (gestures to giant arrow sign pointing to hokma that reads flaming homosexual) still sends me into fits of hysteria and delirium at the mere mention of his name. 👍
the problem wasnt the difficulty. the problem was spending an hour watching your nuggets running around at 1x speed only to see the violet midnight pop up. literal hours of effort was only like 5 attempts
I feel like this song wouldn't be that good to someone who hasn't done the hokma suppresion I think the memory of the chaos and the hectic race to deal with the midnight adds alot
It really depends on which Midnight one gets. Aside from Violet Midnight, the two other midnights are not really pause dependant, I'd even say that Green and Amber Dusk might even be harder than those midnights. I was lucky to get Green Dawn and Green Midnight at the same time, so my casualties were really low and I could do it on the second try.
He's the grandpa who will allow you to play games. You will manage to make a lot of painstaking progress in the game it' a game you've played since you were little. You have many memories there. You will be attached to the world and put your heart and soul into it. Then when dinner is ready you get the option, keep playing the game or dinner. But you can't pause, so you have to delete the progress and start all over again if you eat dinner. If you keep playing the game you may only drink water for the next 2 weeks, no food. And if you pause he puts a revolver to your head with one bullet, spins the magazine, and pulls the trigger.
damn, gotta love how it all fits right in with the characters: malkuth is dumb so you are as well yesod is very much straight to the point, so should you netzach wants to die, so now you die hod wants to help people improve, so your people are worse chesed wants everyone to live, so now they don't gebura wants to destroy the place, so she starts with the working class hokma is in control of time, so you aren't binah has to watch abnormalities become real, so he becomes one
9 people fucking died on this supression, and most of it was stupid big bird. It's so stupidly hard to do with lags and also random gave me purple midnight . In the end it's basically impossible to deal with all meldowns without pressing pause
This is my favorite suppression theme, despite it being rough and literal breakcore (which is awesome). I find it depressing and sad. When I first heard it I could see the story of the past playing in my head as I heard it. Benjamin and his time with all his friends in the old laboratory, his time spent with Ayin and so on. I always saw this theme as being one of the more depressing than the rest. It just screams that sorrow and anguish. Which is why I love it so much. Definitely a great theme. Hope to hear some iteration of the suppression themes at some point in the future from Project Moon games. (Even though these songs are mainly all third party. I'd still love to see it used in future installments in some rearrangement of some kind)
Ah, this brings back memories of getting Violet Midnight every damn time. Please Hokmah just give me Green Midnight. (I did do it deathless but it took me a few tries)
First attempt I ever did on this boss, I made it all the way to the end after red dawn, red noon, and red dusk, followed by a green midnight. Only two employees died to green midnight (gold rush is a death sentence against the helix, lmao). Due to the green midnight MoSB had breached all the way down in Records Department, absolutely rampaging through the lower half of the facility, so I just kept all of my employees in Control Department, getting every single last work I needed on just One Sin. Just as I beat the suppression, and the camera focuses in on Hokma, I hear the screams of employees and an instant third trumpet. Burrowing Heaven had apparently breached, and killed everyone in the last few seconds when the suppression is ending.
The twisted distorted sounds in between the beautiful melody, almost like screams or chokes. Yet it still contains a glimmer of hope admitst all. Yes, this really feels like living in the past. I think this track does such a good job of conveying what should be felt for his meltdown.
I legit have a story about this song that can only be told via a 4chan greentext ahem >Be me >Sophomore Year >Failing History because all the topics are already known and there-for have no motivation. >its a required class >Final day before grades close >Submit 1 more assignment not knowing if its enough >On the 30 minute bus ride home play this song the whole time >Feel the most stress ever felt in existence. This song will always invoke stress in me yet i've never had to deal with this boss.
muscle memory was my greatest enemy in this suppression, i accidentally paused like 5 times and that's probably why I ended up with a 35% survival rate
man if it werent for gebs this would be by far my favourite suppression, the insane amount of anxiety any ordeal or sort of breach gives you is actually crazy
The difficulty on this one certainly did not disappoint, 2x speed no pause Midnights suck. Here’s a tip though, only use 1 hand for the suppression, fidget with something with the other so that you don’t accidentally hit the pause pause button through muscle memory. Sounds simple but it helped me so much.
Manager! B went insane and has the power of anime on his side!( i’m not joking, who the fuck could be able to decline time stop and still move while doing it? Right, Dio) It was my first thought when I accidentally paused during his supression
This song is horrendous. The bass (if you can call it that) is crunchy, gross, and all kinds of wrong. There is minimal in the way of some kind of pattern with it, and what little patterns exist are often ruined by various ear piercing noises. Despite that, it's beautiful. It captures the cruel poetry of it all very well. I'm in love with how wrong it sounds, and the beautiful melodies obscured by the disgusting bass. I've been listening to this song for quite some time now.
A whole month late but have you ever tried breakcore music? It can be quite a broad genre but you pretty much described the premise of it there, horrendously good music
What you're describing is "Harmonic Dissonance". Earnestly the strongest part of this song is how imbalanced and uneven it sounds, because it keeps you constantly uncomfortable and on-edge throughout the entire suppression. There is definitely a flow and rhythm to it, but it's so off of the rails that it constantly yanks your ability to follow it around until you get auditory whiplash.
If it hadn't been for the fact that I rolled a purple midnight instead of literally anything else I could have cleared this suppression without any losses. It was a pretty relaxing meltdown, all things considered.
Same. Rolled Violet Midnight, but my nuggets were just too damn good, bullets and ALEPH-carrying melees took care of it pretty quickly. I lost 1 during Dusk, though, because my dumb ass instinctively pressed Space to redirect my agents. Other than that it was the most lo-fi chill supression of them all, felt like a normal day.
Hokma's meltdown *really* depends on who you brought into the facility, if you're lucky, hokma's meltdown is just really boring and really slow, but if you're bad at the game and overly rely on pausing, it's your worst nightmare
Here is funny thing. So i got ending dialogue from Hokma in suppresion, signifying i won, but then meltdown happened and i lost the PE boxes and uh... not won? So he vanished and screen was shaking but i was unable to do anything for some time (thankfully camera later fixed itself) So i had to fix all this stuff at 2.5 times speed. Also yes, i have WhiteNight, why did you asked? Somehow i managed to salvage it with one tactical pausing to send everybody to take care of meltdowns and then just work normally till i get my energy quota.
this suppression was VERY tiresome due to me having to restart a couple times due to critical containment failure and/or too many employee deaths because as it turns out, Green and Orange Dawn are a LOT more dangerous if you can't pause and have both Army in Black and Mountain of Smiling Bodies in your facility, but facing Purple Midnight with a "not giving a shit because I'm Day One Resetting after this anyways" attitude while that second track played in the background was a lot of fun!
I suppressed this guy without pausing and i had a bug at the end that i collected the amount needed and the death animation started playing but the day didn't end bcuz some of the quiluph Melt downs had ended alot of abnos escaped and chaos began i was shaking panicking i had 1.2k Pe boxes out of 1.5k to do in short time and i had most of my people die somehow i clutched it barely
FINALY 3 RESETS LATER I BEAT YOU my gosh this was so harrd, i replayed the final reset without hitting the pause button once so that i can get used to this fight, yet i decided to try to kill the white knight and got rewarded with WK in a box and a wasted hour. Needless to say i think the only reason i managed to beat him ( hokma not WK ) was because of it being a Green Midnight. Oh one last thing right afterward in order to begin the trial that is White Ordeal i lost 3/4 of all my employees to the Claw.. Yea not a good start .. Im at day 49 now just gotta get through it and day 50 to reach the end P.S. how do you get the last 10% of the seed of light, i did all the sephirot execpt the one at day 45-50 is it a post first completion or is it something else like having 100% on the anomaly list?
@@Resetium and yes i did but the temptation to get melting love or the apocalypse bird was very tempting, i insted got censored, WK, apocalypse bird [post hokma] (man big bird seems so dang rare need its ego) and lastly THE GREAT FIRE BIRB ( haha insanity go brrrrrrrrrrr)
That was so easy compared to her, the Arbiter beat my ass while I one tried, well on a serious attempt him. I got lucky because I got Midnight of Amber, Eternal Meal. if it were Helix of The End or God of Delusion, there’s a high chance I’d die
Green Midnight is easy during Hokma suppression - before spawning him, swnd everyone to an elevator on the Safety Team department, then, once it spawns, attack it until the laser starts to point towards left, then go back to the elevator and use that to keep yourself safe from the laser, rinse and repeat
Ive passed it trough my first atempt, to be fair i already made myself ready my playing severe days without pause. ( Lobotomy corporations is not that hard, it just requires lots of concentration )
