If he dies, he dies - fine. But then the Coast Guard would be required to go look for his ass, and if they get hurt in that situation, then his death caused collateral damage. How hard is it not to be stupid?
@@msinformation91 No they don't. They wouldn't recognize him missing hours or days after if he doesn't call for help himself; and even then not come if the danger is too high.
@@delix912 yea he was you can clearly tell. I think he was smart enough to not go directly into the vortex maximum it likely would have capsized him LOL
@@AshlynOne Actually, having studied meteorology, and a current Severe Storm Spotter for the NWS, I do. Now if you want to be a fearful wimp and take no risks, that is your choice. I would have gone righthrough the vortex. The greatest danger here was lightning.
@@robertgift No, the greatest danger was being capsized you neandertal. I can tell you clearly don't know the first thing about weather or meteorology. Nice lie. Maybe if you were in a small yacht, but that little speedboat could easily have flipped and left them capsized in the middle of the ocean with no life jackets. You clearly don't know the first thing about nautical storms, mesocyclones, or boats.
@@AshlynOne Yes, a very knowledgeable Neanderthal. Please note _"I would haveveryone wearing life jackets."_ Or could you not understand? (Any strongust athe correct angle could capsize the speedboat.) It's a risk we non-wimps take. The greatest risk here was lightning.
@@robertgift And you don't sail your dumbass tiny 2lb plastic boat with a weedwacker tied to the back into a squall strong enough to capsize you, so why would you do the same thing into a waterspout that can do the same thing and is ten times more visible and avoidable? So far I see no justification from you on why this is anything but an idiotic risk with a dog and a passenger on board, your only comeback is to call me a wimp (which I could care less about, I'd rather be smart and alive than dumb and dead in the middle of the ocean) and you seem to have no actual nautical knowledge of sailing or meteorological events. So I don't really know about that "very knowledgeable" part because so far I'm the only one who's stated any actual facts. The only thing you've said is "Nuh uh because risks are fun" and stated just objectively incorrect information. Yeah, so you'd have people wearing life jackets. Woo. That's going to do you a lot of good as you float in the middle of the ocean without a shred of land in sight and nobody coming to save your ass. And this is why I said it was Darwinism.
@@Iluvmeg i mean they are really weak they cant even lift a heavy person. Its just water its lifting after all not land which is heavy unless your a sail boat you can have fun in it unless its like 3 times bigger
You can obviously see it's a f0. What are you people talking about? Since when is a f0 on water so dangerous 😂 there's nothing small it can throw at you.
Was out fishing in our Bay one summer, a waterspout was too close to us , boat was drifting , was ok but my brother-in-law got sick as a dog ! It could have capsized the boat at the right angle , ours anyway I don’t know about this guy . At least we didn’t intentionally go through it . For the seconds it lasted I wouldn’t want to do it again.
This “ news story “ is overrated. Does anybody here think he’s the first to pull that stunt? While Waterspouts have the same appearance as a tornado they are more common and don’t have the same force - most of them would be rated less than an F0 ......just a guy with an apparent midlife crisis lol.
water spouts are basically dirt devils of water, he'd only be in danger if he swam through it, its literally spinning rain, not even the winds are fast enough to knock him over. I'd put the dog in a more secure position though, just to make sure they dont jump out or nothing.
@@NemeanLion- That's not true. If a tornado on land can reach EF5 speeds so can a tornado on water. Again there are different types of waterspouts. Some are like landspouts which form from the surface to the cloud. These ones are the most common and are very weak. The other type are tornadic which usually form from a supercell over the ocean. These ones are tornadoes but over water so they are called waterspouts.
important to note that a tornado's F/EF rating is not how "strong" the tornado is, but rather related to estimated wind speed and how much DAMAGE the tornado does. many very strong tornadoes that happen out over open fields where there is nothing to damage receive low F/EF ratings. so no, you can't just tell a tornado's rating/risk by looking at it. this was a very silly and dangerous thing to do, and by someone very uninformed. the reason they're making a big deal out of it in this news segment is to make sure other equally as uninformed people don't make the same mistake, thinking there is no risk attached. you would be putting both yourself and any rescue/body retrieval attempts in danger, too! glad he and everyone onboard, including the dog, were okay, though! it does, admittedly, look like a lot of fun lmao.
@@itskeagan3004 We have no tax dollars left for rescuing people at sea. We spend it all cutting off little boys' peckers and providing porn stars with abortions.
Fair weather waterspouts, if you don’t enter the actual vortex and your boat is decent, are not very dangerous. He’s absolutely right that they are EF0 strength and max windspeeds usually no more than the 70mph range. Still not something to laugh at, but yeah not the massive risk they look like
An F0 waterspout above water is literally no danger at all. It can't pick you or the boat up, it can't rip your limbs off, and it's above water. "Underestimate it"? They were perfectly fine.
@@notlightbeam4889 no your very wrong. Many have died from waterspouts. Thrown into the water and drowned. It depends on the severity of a waterspout. Some storms can create very strong waterspouts and many people, fishermen, tourists ect. have died due to this phenomenon. nobody must think it's fine to any severe nature phenomenon
@@esagil_playz4334 Let me clarify something you don't understand: F0 waterspouts are not "powerful" in any way. You are talking about "powerful" waterspouts.
@@notlightbeam4889 yes, without radars, you wont really know how powerful is a waterspout, size doesn't matter and without ground to do damage, in water it will act like all waterspouts. thats what i said
@@esagil_playz4334 If you say "all waterspouts" that makes on average weak waterspouts. Most of them cannot lift a boat and will only give you an 80mph breeze.
This is why I don't feel bad when I hear about people getting killed in nature. Play with fire, get burned. 🤷🏾♀️ Now, if he would've died, everyone would be saying it like he wasn't doing it on purpose. He knew the risks. Poor dog
@@sirboomsalot4902 I like how we talk about how a person, clearly as dumb as doornails, talks about knowing how to evaluate F0s categories, and take it as credible. Dumb people have plenty of dumb followers.
If he would have done this now he would face charges because that dog was on board the boat. It would be big time with that animal cruelty law the President just signed.
