Thank you for posting this. The end results are so beautiful. For some reason it gave me a nice warm feeling just watching your hands move through the process. All I could think about were all those other hands through all those centuries of Black women (and men) braiding and twisting and lovingly doing our hair. As a child I remember benefiting from tha love. Torturous though it may have been. Old folks used to say that you could tell if a child was being properly cared for by looking at their hair. All those little parts...plaits...bows and hair pins meant that someone took the time...patience to make sure that child could leave home with their heads held high. I am glad to see it is the one tradition that we have retained from our ancestors. Through braids...hot combs...perms ...weaves and wigs and now back to our roots. It’s been one hell of a ride. Bravo, baby girl! Bravo!
I’m currently in the process of making my own locs, it’s so time consuming but very much worth it because they’re turning out sooo cute!! I can’t wait to dye them & install em! This video was super helpful & gave me the confidence to possibly install em myself! 🥰

My natural hair is shoulder length, I had l9c extensions added mid back I have had loc extensions since April 2023, My locs are now waist length yes they are permanent and I wish I had started this back at the beginning of the Pandemic, I am loving my locs so much, 5 family members have started the loc journey as of June 2023, My Loctician is Wonderful😍

That’s dope😳. I’m planning on growing mine back it’s been years since I’ve had them, but I still miss them 😂. I have a LONG ways to go before I could even get my hair twisted. Maybe January, or February. I have a waves right now🤷🏽♂️.

I’m glad that I found you’re video I’m getting loc extensions in my hair this week. I had my sides and the back of my hair but the rest are in locs. So I decided to get the loc extensions so that I can do more styles with my locs. I really love how it turned out in the end.

I absolutely love this. I'm the type of person that wants to look cute but at the same time I like something that's easy to maintain and I don't have to do much I can just do a little style and go. I've always been curious about dread extensions but wondered how long your hair had to be. I would want them just a little bit smaller but other than that I love it.
