“We are Americans… we are better than this!” Really? Are you Americans better than this? Seems to me that many many other countries can say we are better than this and things like this do not happen ever, however, it has been an occurring theme within the U.S.A. Although you may not be better than this it would be more appropriate to say you ‘should’ be better than this.
