I know you get this all the time, but Mickey, your videos so life encouraging. It's only been a week to subscribe you and I've watched almost all your vids. Everyone in your video seems to have good vibe and I hope I can have such friends one day. Anyways, love all your work and thank you for sharing such good influence for my life.
I love the way you refer to yourself (in the English title) as a "local guy." It took me a moment to figure out you were referring to _yourself._ (I don't think of you as a "local guy," really.) I know the "frog" proverb from the Chinese version: (The frog knows only the small circle of sky he can see from the bottom of the well.) True, but you can't _say_ that to anyone who really needs to hear it. This one is probably famous around the world. In English it's "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." It's actually from Laozi: The thing about these proverbs is you can often find ones with (somewhat) opposite meanings. So there's 오르지 못할 나무는 쳐다보지도 마라 (horrible, really) but there's also 뜻이 있는 곳에 길이 있다 or 티끌모아 태산. There's 고생 끝에 낙이 온다 but there's also 산 넘어 산. (It's fun to know the "opposite" ones so when someone says one, you can respond with the other.)
To Anne, i cannot find her comment yet, so “~답니다” is more likely “It is said and I am a bit agreed with that ~” 이런 느낌이 맞는거 같아요! Just for another explanation:D
