Local Hero | Dahlia Mikha Safar 

At just 19 years of age, Dahlia stopped walking and talking. She was diagnosed with Wilson’s disease-a rare genetic disorder. Although doctors told her that she’d never walk or talk again, her determination and courage are the reasons for her triumphant improvement. Today, she no longer uses her wheelchair, she has successfully completed three university degrees and even wrote and self-published a book. Although her speech still hasn’t returned, her smile and sense of humour usually say it all.
