Loved the episode, thanks for shedding light into the scene here in Mexico city as well as into our family 🙌🏻 Looking forward to have you guys back sooner than later!
Thank you so much for this piece Jeff, it's really cool to see how all the hard work our father did was not in vain and how the scene here is taking off. Things are only getting started here and you know you and Logan are welcomed back here anytime!
What an awesome video Jeff! Thank you for making it and for sharing our pasion for MTB, it means a lot!!! Looking forward to riding again with you, let's make that trip to Oaxaca happen soon!
People and cultures coming together over a shared love of mountain biking… it doesn’t get any better. Probably my favorite off all your videos so far, Jeff.
This is legitimately one of the coolest videos I’ve seen on RU-vid. It wasn’t a typical ride video, instead, you really gave us a taste of the culture, in a place that doesn’t have our freedoms. These brothers are pioneers in a sport we’ve already established here, but has a long way to go, there. Bravo for this piece of film!
Thanks Brandon! This is the kind of MTB that I truly want to watch myself as well. Yeah there’s been a decent scene in Mexico, but only recently has it become more mainstream. There are generally more riding opportunities in MX, since private property is less of a thing, which is super cool.
@@UltraBuitre kinda funny. I left a very positive comment on a piece of film I really enjoyed and you come in like a douche with negativity. Leave it to yourself, pal. I see Mexico as a country that is a little tormented by cartels and some level of poverty and see a different view in Jeff’s video on a couple of guys who are living the lives they want to live despite other things going on in the country. Didn’t say anything negative, so leave your negativity to yourself and quit trolling.
Thanks Luna! There were quite a few densely forested areas. And plenty of more arid spots, but iirc, Mexico i something like the 14th largest country in the world; so they have it all when it comes to climates.
Awesome video Jeff. I was fortunate enough to spend several years in Mexico City and I have to say that Desierto de los Leones is an amazing place. The trails are top notch and like you said, no one would imagine that the bike scene is so good in Mexico City. Eric’s Garage actually built my I-9 wheel set and after almost 2 years it is still true and solid.
Didn't know mtb around Mexico city was a thing. Thanks for the heads-up and the story telling. I'm checking those trails right now on Trailforks. On a recent trip to the Cancun area this summer, I rode some MTB trails and found them pretty good. Watch out for the iguanas!!
So cool Man! Thanks for showing me a part of Mexico City I didn't know existed. I have been wanting to explore the city and catch an F1 race, now I'm gonna have to ride too.
This deserves way more views. Great riding, well filmed and genuinely interesting. This is the kind of MTB media I wish there was more of. Meanwhile Seth posts a video of making avocado on toast and it gets five times the viewing traffic. Doesn't make sense to me. Hope you keep up the good work Jeff. This stuff is gold. 🤘
Thanks Chad! Flights aren’t too hard to MX City, and staying on the outskirts and close to the trails is pretty safe. You could ride Desierto for 2-3 days easy, and there are several more spots within driving/Uber distance that we didn’t get to try. Would definitely recommend!
@@JeffKendallWeed Right on! So many cool kayaks are built up that way. I use to be sponsored by Sterling Kayaks which are hand made right in Bellingham. I've been up there so many times to paddle, but have yet to check out the trails.
My favorite video yet. As someone who has family in Mexico City, this one was special. Thanks for helping others see this burgeoning MTB scene through your lens. Great work!
Thanks man! This kind of content was my main thing a few years back, but the changing media landscape has meant i need to do more frequent, more simple stuff instead. But ya, MX city is really cool! I can’t wait to get back!
6:00 minute mark, that was my first bike. A Nishiki! Only mine was red not black. Took it down Chuckanut which the trail used to be called Double Diamond (many trips OTB's lol, also rode Galbraith. Cool video Jeff, thanks!
