Ride along with the BNSF local crew as it serves customers along the branch line. Today we catch the local serving the paper plant as well as the lumber distribution center. The crew will expertly place each railcar in its place to ensure the customer receives its commodities safely and efficiently. Enjoy the ride on this HO scale switching layout!

Great video! Growing up in New Jersey, I remember my Dad (at different times in the 70s) worked as a machinist for BASF Wyandotte, and Kimberly Clark. So this op session is a neat connection for me. Great video.

Great video! I have a couple of questions that popped into my head while watching the various track-to-track moves unrelated to the actual switching: 1) how many crew members are there? Two or three? 2) At the beginning, when waiting for a signal to switch mains, and later, when shoving the train up the branch, does the engineer keep switching between the UP and BNSF cabs, or does he remain in one cab regardless of direction of travel?

Hi! Thanks for the comments! We use a crew of three on our locals (Conductor, Engineer, and Brakeman) and the engineer does not have to move from one cab to the other.

Hi, nitpicking here..On a BNSF local, why is a UP loco involved? Thanks
@milepost33
@milepost33 3 месяца назад
So yeah in this case just to keep all the locos moving ill sometimes add an oddball to the consist.

hello modeler friend, I live in France and I have a US HO train like you which runs with DCC. What is your system for synchronizing the locos so that they run at the same speed? For me I run with JMRI, but impossible to synchronize 2 locos, always one which runs faster than the other, or but decoders are not made for that. Please inform me on your way to have the same speeds. very pretty decors and scenes, thank you very much for your answer . have a good day, see you soo

Greetings I use the JMRI Decoder Pro program to adjust the settings to make the locomotives run together. It takes some time and practice to become proficient at it. Thanks for the comment and glad you enjoy the videos!

Looks cool from a point of view but being a rail myself sounds like work to me.
