This is the reason why we, travelers, should stay longer in Japan (if only we could 😅)… So that we can really enjoy the beautiful sceneries/ places in Japan! Geez, I am in love with the beauty of Enoshima. I’ve been hearing the place’s name but I have no clue what to see and to expect there. Thanks for this wonderful “summer getaway” video Rion! Because of this, I’ve been introduced again to another amazing place there. Also, even we’re in our houses right now, at least we can still feel the beach vibes through this video ☀️ 🏖 As for the food, they are all interesting but the Shirasu-don really got my attention! At first, I thought it’s a raw anchovies but this is the first time I see a raw white fish bait served as a meal. Definitely worth to try that. Also, the owner is so sweet! He reminded me the “uncle” store manager (I believe) I met in one of the stores in Shinjuku. 😊 Again, thank you so much for this summer-y video! 2019 September, I visited Tokyo and took a day trip to Kamakura and Enoshima. That was the first time I went to that area even though I had been to Tokyo many times before. It was definitely worth the time. I was thinking I would go to Osaka in 2020 and visit Kamkura and Enoshima again in 2021. Fast forward 2 years - got stuck at home for the past 2 years beacuse of the pandemic. When Japan reopens, I would stay there for 3 months and go to mulitple cities as if there won't be a next year.
Finally get to see the seaside of Japan! Reminded me that Japan is an island and not just concrete, shops and restaurants. 😆 Thank you for bringing us. 🏖😎 And, the result of this video is proof of the extra long hours and the hard work that you had put into shooting and editing this video. 🌅😍🦁👍🙏
I soooo enjoyed this trip to the beach, Rion. Enoshiima Island was sugoi. The shrine was beautiful and the view was saiko ⛩. Loved all the food stores. Arigatougozaimashita! 👍

The Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai anime really capture the Shichirigahama stn, the train and beach! I recognised it instantly! Looks like a beautiful place, i wish i could be there.
This video brought back happy memories for me. We went to Enoshima a few years ago around Christmas time. It was really nice at that time of year too. The tower is called the Sea Candle. You can go to the top in an elevator. When we were there, they had lit up the gardens around the Sea Candle with all sorts of lights so we stayed until after dark to see that. It was worth the effort. You could also see a great view of the mainland at night from the observation area at the top of the Sea Candle. I hope they will bring back the lights once travel opens up again so people can enjoy Enoshima as much as we did.

I used the escalator and spared myself of tiredness and went to the top. It was so nice at the top, first time experienced grilled little octopus barbeque, umai! Now learned from this video how to get to Enoshima via Tokyo because I stayed before in Yokohama & transferred 2 lines. Great the top now has a cemented viewdeck and railings. When I went there, got to be careful not to go too much to the edge, because it was dirt soil then. Question: are the shirasu in your small bowl meal cooked, or raw?
Love your video content! Your videos are always interesting with you showing food n places that are only known to locals. Btw: love the details on train directions. I’ve gotten lost before in Japan esp going from Tokyo to Kamakura to see the temples.

We will defintely visit Enoshima to our next visit (after the Pandemic) I hope you can explore and feature Oarai in Ibaraki Prefecture, i am always curious about the place and we are supposed to visit back in July 2020 and Oarai and Enoshima are on my list of places to visit outside Tokyo. Another great video. By the way, Shirasu in English is 'Whitebait', not 'Whitebake'. It's because small baby fish were used as fishing bait to catch other bigger fish.

Miss this place so much, miss the train, miss the birds, miss the rain and strong wind on the bridge. I was staying overnight in Kamakura and in the morning the beach was full with surfer. Hope one day could go there again

Nice to see kamakura again! Went there in February 2020 to see that famous crossing (From the Slamdunk anime) 11:24 at kamakurakoko-mae Overall it's a very beautiful seaside city to visit
Been to Kangawa n Yokohoma , alone Kanagawa is interesting to explore . Yokohoma is a Morden cosmopolitan city , similar to the Canary wharf in London.
