There is an official petition to the Scottish Parliament to help prevent this from happening, and to preserve the battlefield for generations to come. For those who hold history sacred, feel that a battle ground is just as sacred as a gravesite, and for those who's ancestry is interwoven with Scottish history, let your voice be heard, and don't let the battle of Culloden and the Jacobites who died become a footnote in history just because someone wants to build an overpriced housing development. Here in the US, much of our own history has been and is being erased because of ignorance and greed, this MUST NOT happen in a country so rich with it's own history and culture that spans farther than history can remember.
