I am having trouble with the green thing and also the metal thing that you push in it keeps falling off. this is one of the hardest key cylinders I've messed with.
Remove the door car. Then pull out the retaining clip holding the lock barrel in place. Then turn the lock to the unlock position with the key and the barrel should pull out easily.
