Leigh Pond returns to Pitsford Trout fishery after the Coronavirus lock down June 2020. The trout were happy to join in after such a long time in lock down and gave such a fight .
I’m from a course angling background but I’ve been fluff chucking on n off for over ten years now. Although I’m not out as much as I’d like. I mostly go to the AWA reservoirs and Elinor as I’m from Bedford way. I digress…. It amazes me how frowned upon the bung is by a lot of people? I think it’s just another method, besides in water buzzers / nymphs regularly rise and fall through the water column until they’re ready to hit the surface and hatch. The bung, especially in a ripple enables your buzzers to rise and fall more naturally without having to keep lifting them off the bottom, thus casting less. Just seems like good angling to me! And it strikes me as odd you “can” use a floating line, but you “can’t” hold your flies up with a bit of an extra buoyancy aid! Baffles me. Anyhow Leigh, glad to see you’re still doing the videos. Your so right, some days it is the best method ever on its day and it is as you say just another method, I love the visual side of it .I am fishing at Elinor this coming weekend in the National Bank Fishing Final for the England team, I believe its still a bit weedy in the margins? have you been recently?
@@troutwithleigh4503 no mate. I’ve not been for ages. Works been mental this year and what time I’ve had I’ve been carp fishing. I also tend to swerve Elinor during the warmer months. Great fishery but it’s not so good in the summer. Well that’s probably cos I’m just a noddy 😂 Hoping to get to Grafham for a few trips this autumn and I’ll try get to Elinor once the bank fishing improves a bit more. Good luck with the competition!
