getting out after the first lockdown was unreal, i caught a small half pound sea-trout that night, it was like catching a 20lb salmon lol great video btw
Great video leigh, I had my greys gr70 comp special break last year at grafham on practice day for the tf finals the stripping eyes broke off while playing a fish🤬 the rod only about 18mths old. Changed over to loop rods now totally brilliant rods.
Not had any problems since Gary, three of the boys in my team 'The reservoir dogs' have GR 70's and all like them to be honest chuck a good line, after sales was good replaced the section in a few days.
Thank you glad you took the time to look at it, was a tough day in the wind! out at Pitsford on Weds looking forward to it should be good but there is a bit of algae in it!
Thanks Chris, don't know how that broke, can't remember one going on my while playing a fish before? good day though but the wind was a killer!! you been out yet??
Got to be honest Saad the fish were obliging on the day , but the conditions were against us in all fairness winds gusting up to 30 miles an hour so difficult at times, fish were hard on buzzers so as long as you had a team on the line kept on going tight! I do have a guiding service if you ever want a day out improver day 'Leigh Pond fly-fishing services' thanks for watch
yep well spotted Paul, Competition special 10 foot eight weight , very nice rods great action and never had a rod break for no reason during playing a fish a few comments have said it broke on the gunnel's but not the case i think, have used them for the last few years before that Lomas another great rod but i really have got on great with Gray's cracking rod! excuses the pun lol
Nice rods I have just picked up a GR60 but got my eye on the GR80 comp. I learnt to Trout fish at Rutland and eye Brook over 25 years ago. Great places had some pretty tough days there though
@@paulbiddles9622 yep we all have those days Paul, Not fished Rutland yet this year, had a good few at Grafham already and wow its on fire, had a client there last week and lost count of the 3lb plus fish we caught! Tim Joyce was out yesterday and had a fantastic day again, well worth a trip!
Maybe Steve but been boat fishing for 40 years and first time for me! but was close to the boat admittedly, thanks for watching , have you had a chance to get out yet?
