Personally I just can't tell the difference between any Cybertronians in the live action movies. Just Optimus Prime, Bumble Bee and Megatron. Even then at the action shots I can hardly tell them apart.
I like the movie but this so called galvatron should of had a similar transformation with the gun out his face.in the cartoon it attached to his neck base in transformation anyway.
@@PoIarisPrime you like the Bayformers, cool, more power to you! For me it's a jumbled mess! In story and in the Transformers character design. All of the Cybertronians basically all look the same
I think the main error they are making with the transformers movies(beside the growing stupidity of the plots) is make the transformers too human like, the versions from the first and second movies were way cooler than those excessively antropomorphic of the newer movies!
Remember lockdown is neither decepticon or autobot I remember in the original series he went after both of them the creators are the only people he worked for but I liked him for that two choices are really no choice
I've always loved the autobots and decepticons but lockdown was the top of the food chain as far as transformers I instantly was like that's the man right there
Glad for the recap of the movie that I’m sure no one saw with it being so new, could you go into his origin though like the title said? Maybe get any of the names pronounced right?
I think it's more likely that the Decepticon Team he was assigned to falsified their reports on Lockdown, which gave them an excuse to finish him off. Megatron was probably too focused on the front lines and the Allspark to worry about insubordination.
@@chickenwings5429back in the war megatron fought with optimus and senitel , then when megatons kind was loosing he switched sides and betrayed them and eventually defeated the auto bots in the war and rose the ranks to become leader of decepticons
Lockdown was a big surprise for the Tranformers franchise, he started as a bounty hunter in Transformers Animated, but his most important role and without doubt the deadliest version appeared in Age of Extinction, he was the Predator of the Transformers
I always thought that too many iconic transformers died pretty fast and easy in these new movies. Something I somehow dislike every time this happens. I mean they survived millions of years fighting.
Technically he’s not a villain he’s just doing his job lol it wouldn’t make sense for him to be a villain and he hates the autobots and decepticons and THOSE ARE VILLAINS lol
I apologize after reading my comment I almost forgot that Sentinel Prime, and Megatron gave Optimus a run for his money. I say Megatron because he was the only one who actually killed Optimus 😆 nobody can say that but him LOL
@@danielpercent5434 Well Megatron didn’t give him a run for his money in TF2 he most definitely did in TF1 . MegTron killed him because he was distracted but what doesn’t make sense to me is that Megatronous aka The Fallen had said “ Only a prime can defeat me and now 1 remains “ but he was defeated by MegTron and he’s not even a prime
@@garyyidsen6574 no remember at the end of the 2nd movie when Optimus gets Jetfires spare parts? At the end of that fight Optimus chased down The Fallen and punched a hole in The Fallens chest and said "I rise, you fall" therefore a prime did defeat The Fallen.
It was just a terrible script written Lockdown should’ve won that fight there’s no way they could pull that sword out optimus chest right when Lockdown jammed it deep inside his chest
The megatron of the first film, I’d place my bets with that iteration. They basically made him a mechanical megladon, who was just owning Optimus prime, at the end. Plus Hugo weavings voice was really awesome
Yes megatron I’m the first movie was ruthless. But u have to remember that prime didn’t go all out in the first movie and that has been official already even megatron said it.. he was trying to protect the humans and didn’t want to kill megatron and after the movie he even said u left me no choice brother… But by the 2nd movie prime totally wrecks him which I feel like if prime went all out in the first movie with his ruthlessness of the 2nd movie and especially the 3rd and 4th he would have beaten megatron
What made him more special was that after each battle he would enhance himself with upgrades to be far more durable and stronger than any other Cybertronian. Only Sentinel Prime, Tf1 Megatron and the fallen (in his prime) are the only ones who can truly beat him in a 1v1 fight
@@Boomy2nicce TF1 Megatron is the strongest Megatron if he can ragdoll Optimus he can beat Lockdown And Sentinel Prime is confirmed to be stronger than Optimus so if he can beat Optimus in hand to hand combat beating Lockdown would be just as beating Optimus
@@IRONPRIMEA7 Senti got bodied by megatron then optimus proceeded to stomp megatron with one arm. No way in hell I believe that tf1 Meg is stronger than OP
I would of loved it if he mentioned the fallen and sentinel prime. It seemed like there was a moment where he would of, especially when he checked Optimus about being built, not born and that they all work for someone.
OMG !!!!!😱 Seriously Lockdown is the most dangerous villian of all time. his fighting skills, Combat, Weapons Everything. "Autobots and Decepticons are always fighting like children"
Lockdown was one of those characters who was regardless of what side he was on, liked and seen as a force to be reckoned with. although he was just a single cybertronian he was able to cause and wreak as much havoc as a whole squad of deceptacons and managed to fight Bumblebee and fataly wound Optimus multiple times when it took multiple deceptacons to do what he did in this movie
Lockdown is the most insane antagonist Optimus ever had to face. He's not fighting for world domination or extinction. He's fighting for the sake of it. Reminds me of Adam Smasher.
If anyone read the marvel Transformers comics in UK back in the 1980s, there was a character called Death head. There are similarities between Death head and Lockdown. Both are bounty hunters who have no alliances or loyalty to any faction or group. Both are brutal in their methods and determined to capture their bounty at any cost. Can't help but think the film makers wanted Death head in the movie but couldn't due to issues with who owns the rights to the character, so they used Lockdown ad a substitute.
Lockdown was different from any deceptions, he had slim and ripped built like a UFC middleweight champion. And he gives off sadistic vibes as if he likes torturing his prisoners.
I doubt that Lockdown was actually stronger than Prime. Just because he got distracted in order to save Cade gave him the chance to overwhelm Optimus. While in reality, with only both of them and nothing more, Optimus put Lockdown to the floor. Now imagine a Megatron of tf1 or even in tf5 (yes, because with only one arm he was able to put Prime in the floor and without any weapon).
Lockdown is more agile and strategically. Prime and Megatron are powerful and good warriors, but they prefer to get up cl9se and personal, and are ruthless and vicious in combat.
firstly i hated lock down, but after a rewatch and a taught or two i realized he is my favorite transformer. So cold blooded and cold he was the most powerful out them all, did u see how he just trashed bumblebee around with no sweat while trying to fight the human(forgot his name) after fighting optimus. I am sad he wasnt the guy that will have the final blow on optimus.
This was pretty good and I do hope Marvelous Videos make more videos on TF characters in the future. I just wish they covered all various portrayles of the characters instead of just one. For instance, Lockdowns first appearance was in Transformers Animated and was heavily inspired by the Marvel character Death Head. He was a bounty hunter and a former member of CyberNinja Core. He also appeared in the IDW comics, serving the insane Autobot prosecutor Tyrest. He a version of the character was also in Transformers Cyberverse but was a completly different character.
for some reason micheal bay didn’t like directing the 4th film that much just because he was forced by paramount for money. the more he forces transformers dirctors to make, the more autobots deaths we have to suffer
@@AlamJR not even that, lockdown's vibe was more menacing and frightening. Thanos was just a big show-off and a bad villain that marvel has used over and over again.
This feels like clickbate. All the narrater is doing is explains what happens I the movie, I can watch it myself, I don't need him to simply regurgitate the movie. BORING!!!!!😡🤬
LoL man. And I have a friend who’s like a big brother to me who said. Everything that has a piece of Mark Wahlburg in it. Is made to be bad so you’re not wrong there I got to say.
That's how I feel about Ben Affleck. But I love Batman so it really took a lot for me to watch the new ones, which actually surprised me. Now the newest batman with the a guy from twilight, idk if I can watch it
I really hated him because he was just a Lamborghini and they made him as strong as Optimus. He’s either overconfident or just too cocky. I would like him if he was a monster truck, etc.
Omg, why are people so f*ck*n d*mb these days. Either they are just d*mb, stubborn or just plain st*pid….Jesus…. Btw, that’s not the point. The point is that he is one that doesn’t have the right transformation ratio, according to his vehicle size. He should’ve just been around the size as Bumblebee. From all the technology and weapons he has, the Lamborghini is too small. Even Megatron maintained the right ratios. It’s like a Camaro and Silverado crashing head on and the Silverado got totaled (which isn’t right)
Lock down is scary as hell, the way he walks to prime when they first met on the country high way. I remember in the theater stereos was so loud when he walks u can hear the theater room vibrate. It strikes fear in people's heart n kids r scared holding there parents hands n arms tight. The background of lock down music is amazing n the best line when he says u think u r born, no u were built n the creators wants u back, when that happened in theaters the audience were so excited n terrified of lockdown n the audience wants to know who r the creators who created prime, it raises alot of questions back then.
Thank you for the character and plot breakdown. The main reason I thank you for that is that Lockdown stood out as a memorable "villain". Unfortunately with this particular series of films character and story are sacrificed for visual white noise. I personally find it annoying when I've been a Transformers fan since the G1 series. This is why these films lose me even though these films don't lose money. Though the first was a novelty and fun and the third had a "smarter" plotline. The fourth well it was okay but Lockdown was highlight. As for 2 and 5, don't get me started. Bumblebee was simple but fun and it didn't piss me off or give me a headache. I have hope for the sequel.
One thing I don't get is , how is lockdown almost the same size as prime ,despite his vehicle mode being a Lamborghini. Deceptions or autobots who are the same size as prime or bigger usually has a heavy vehicle as their vehicle mode.(megatron , scourge and even sentinal)
''Quintessins''? I was already thinking this video was suspect with a lot of this information that is revealed NOWHERE in the film, and some supposed theories on Lockdowns M.O. But that pronunciation after saying ''long time fans...''. Cripes!
Age of extinction was an excellent movie and the creators are the reason why. It was crazy world building and really expanded the transformers universe of the films
@@novustalks7525 yes it is!😆 what world building?🤣 "world building" implies there's a story foundation.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 It saddens me how low standards Transformers fans have for a property they claim to love. Michael Bay knows "world building" the same way a hamster knows calculus. 🙄
I noticed that lockdown doesn't have cybertronian language anywhere on him which is so weird also did anyone notice the deep cuts on lockdown's chest so he was in a fight with another transformer
Bruh you got him all wrong he’s not about death and destruction he’s about order his entire purpose is to clean up the cross breeding that his creators find disturbing the balance of the cosmos.. he’s basically a waste man lol
What I thought was very interesting about lockdown or that movie in general, is the fact that he said 'Your race is the same everywhere in the universe' implying that there are other planets with our species
It’s only when you actually think about these movies that you realize how ridiculous their stories are… Wouldn’t you want to reverse engineer such a complex thing as a completely autonomous robot instead of just melting them down for scrap metal!?!??! Also, why would retardedly advanced beings need help from humans?!?
what lockdown was missing to become literally unstoppable was a plan of action, which is a set of "Rules of Engagement" that one uses to plan ahed for any and all possible counters that can come your way, so you can effectively counter them in return. had he laid a plan of action with Rules of Engagement in the forefront of that entire thing, he would have been unstoppable.
I don't really think you can do origins, lore keeping, history, etc with Michael Bay's Transformers. Each movie he forgets or ignores key events from previous movies.
Lockdown was not trying to “reek havoc” you obviously didn’t follow the story properly- lockdown was like a galactic police force and his “job” sent by his authorities was to the police the fude going on between autobots and decepticons. Because of trouble it was causing in the galaxy. lol not reek havoc Did you not notice that lockdown looked for whoever he could capture on EITHER side ! He would grab megatron if he could but the autobots were more accessible to him . - that’s because he is a police task force / enforcer/ bounty hunter.
Putting lockdown aside I genuinely think age of extinction is such an underrated movie It was a 10 for me. Best villain best soundtrack best transformer design and a good story
This movie was almost perfect if only the dinobot had more screen time and had a bigger role. I felt like Hasbro and paramount pictures only added them in the film just to sell more toys.
I love your content and am super happy that you are doing Transformers content! When I saw that you did an almost 15 minutes video on Lockdown I assumed it would cover his few iterations throughout Transformers history. To make it exclusively about his shallow presence in AOE amuses me because Lockdown doesn't even have 15 minutes of screentime in that cinematic tragedy.😆 This was a recap of age of extinction which nobody should have to relive.😔 Although not nearly as visually stunning, Transformers animated contains the origins of Lockdown and I promise you it's worth the investment of time. There is more substance to Lockdown then anything Michael Bay can deliver. To give a comparable analogy of how vapid this video was, imagine doing a 15 minute video on Batman but your entire scope of coverage on the character is limited to his appearance in suicide squad. 🤣
@@novustalks7525 that's like saying "Cancer is the best disease by a long shot!" Also, Bumblebee is the best Transformers movie in terms of a comprehensive narrative.😆
@@novustalks7525 imo bumblebee is similar in narrative as E.T. or The Iron Giant. The story may be a bit basic but at least it makes sense. I can sum up the plot of bumblebee as "an outcast teenager befriends an alien robot and helps him recover his memories in order to complete his mission." If you can describe the narrative of AOE in as many words or less, I will concede that it has the more comprehensive narrative.
