Well, Homelander would easily take down Black Widow, Hawkeye, The Punisher, and Spiderman. Even Shazam. The reason behind that last one is that Shazam still has a kid's brain inside the full grown hero. Homelander would probably be able to destroy him mentally as well as physically, since Shazam, a.k.a. Billy Batson, has probably never had to deal with someone even coming close to Homelander's sheer, cold blooded ruthlessness.
@@Zom13ySpawn V Ghost Rider is a bit like the Spiderman meme where they're copies of one another. Although not a 1 for 1 they're very similar characters. I think the only factor involved in the Spawn fight would be at what point do they fight? Ghost Rider would obliterate early Spawn. Noobie Ghost Rider might not be an effective fighter but he would still be able to survive a medium strength Spawn. But late stage Spawn would be able to take.on Ghost Rider. So even in that matchup, it's pretty timeline dependent.
Even so, he straight up bodied Demon Lords, and the Devil himself (of the Marvel universe, at least). Movie Ghost Rider is absolutely terrifying, even if he is weaker.
Those movies are literally the only reason I gave a shit enough to look into Ghost Rider further, and find out how awesome he really is. Without Nick Cage, I wouldn't care about Ghost Rider, just like I wouldn't care about Constantine if it wasn't for Keanu Reeves💁🏻♀️
@@another.one42there's better scaling in the movies, specifically the second one, than there is in comics, where everyone can beat everyone, depending on what they felt like writing any given day💁🏻♀️
If I remember correctly, the penitent stare is specifically reliving every evil act you have done, from the viewpoint of the victims. Their fear, pain, everything.
That is correct. And that is why penance stare would not work on Homelander. Honestly, he would enjoy to feel that pain he bestowed on another. He is psychotic. Also, I don't think he has a soul, since he was made in a lab. That is the only attack Ghost Rider would not use, since it would have no point.
@@racamon yeah he wouldn't be feeling it as himself he would be feeling it as them so he would be just as scared as they were he wouldn't be feeling his feelings he would feel their feelings that's the whole point of it
@@tpflossy621I mean technically the angel that inhibits him that makes Ghost Rider was once a angel but had fallen to hell and was corrupted. So unless you're thinking about the timeline where he was indicted into the celestial army then not really but kind of. Yes and no on what you said
@@tpflossy621 no he isn't he is a servant of Mephisto the devil of the MCU literally god or one above all has never summoned the ghost rider into reality ever so yeah your wrong
This is not a fight. This is a slaughter. Ghost rider took some of the hardest hits from World War Hulk and walked off. He cannot be hurt physically. Only mystical atracks would work on him.
oh, not even that................GR is stronger than homelander. its clear this youtuber doesnt know much about GR or he wouldnt say homelander is stronger cause.....well........he isnt. the ONLY thing homelander has on GR is speed, thats it.
@@scorpionlord9175 I once saw a video explaining GR's power and strength, his healing is so great that his skull LITERALLY REFORMED after being shattered by Thor's Hammer! Only to grab onto the hammer using the hammer to rapidly travel back to Thor to continue the fight! I even remember hearing about how GR can change sizes at will or something like that
@@FairGhost_113yeah, he pretty much has any hell power you can think of probably. He just more known for his hell fire *(which ignores all defenses and attacks your very SOUL)* his hell chains and. *T H E P E N A N C E S T A R E*
The only reason the fight would take long is because Ghost Rider would toy with him and let him get several big hits before standing and staring at him to get it out of his system.
@@countryboy1635 Actually, in the comics, galactus was defeated by dr strange casting a spell that basically had the same effect as ghost rider's penance stare. The cartoon just replaced strange with ghost rider, probably because he's more popular. That and the catroon came out in the 90's and Danny Ketch was the Ghost rider of the 90's.
I think he’s only doing the ghost rider from the movie because if he went with the comics homelander would be weaker because in the comics ghost rider can fight the would break hulk I think it was
@@edschramm6757no he got an magical item that eather suppressed his emotion to the point that no one will trigger like guilt and remorse or hiding his soul from Ghost Rider
This does not work on Thanos. penanse stare dont work with who did posesses logical or versatlity, which they are doing right or dont have concept of right and wrong. Penanse stare work but the oppenet only see past rewind like cd player and enjoy it and reture back to normal. Its in opponent control.
@@DeepKnight-nr6vo If I'm not mistaken he tried the penance stare on the Punisher and it didn't work. For this matchup it wouldn't be needed regardless though.
@@DeepKnight-nr6vo it depends on the writer. Lots of inconsistency because some of the writers didn’t understand how it was supposed to work. It’s not supposed to matter if the sinner has no remorse or revels in pain. You could argue that there should be many more examples of that if it were the case. But the fact that there are exceptions, doesn’t discount the rule. Famous quote.. yada yada.. the one who wins is the one the writer wants to win.. yada yada
Or Disney IS in control of Marvel, but the showrunner they pick gets absolute authority. Disney just gives the person money. And Rated R. We need a Rated R Ghost Rider.
You forgot the TV series when ghost rider broke out of the containment unit designed to contain the Hulk with relative ease. Homelander doesn't have that kind of strength.
Funniest thing is, the version of ghost rider agents of shield based him on is THE weakest one, that same ghost rider also withstood the radiation from that demon core thing his uncle impaled him on in his human form, incinerated the souls of ghosts no-one else could even touch, and went for a walk through the dark dimension before coming back and almost soloing that android with the dark hold and inhuman abilities
That's the Robbie Rayes Ghost Rider, he was created by Johnny Blaze giving him a TINY portion of the Ghost Rider's full power. He's miniscule to what Blaze can do, and he'd still absolutely destroy Homelander.
I don't understand how something can contain someone with infinite strength, but yeah.... If Ghost rider can break Hulk-rated defenses, things won't be pretty.
Can I just point out in the comics, the penance stare actually does have a weakness. It doesn’t work on Symbiotes. A ghost rider uses that on Carnage and he straight up goes, “thanks for showing me my greatest hits, now die”.
Yea I do. It's bc ok what they are. They don't really have what can be defined as a "soul". It's bad ass though. Other than that it's pretty much the only weakness
@@michaelmcneely7865 yeah, just wanted to have it said that there is a weakness because the video says it has no weaknesses. Just setting the story straight.
Another being that I feel the penance stare would not affect is DCs Lobo. And Lobo could take out Homelander because Homelander is a weaker version of Superman and Lobo takes Supe's best hits and delivers one just as strong in return. He has a chain that Superman can't break and he has been able to catch Flash with it. But GR's other attacks could possibly beat Lobo. Regardless, both could stomp the crap out of Homelander.
I was going to say any magic user would end Homieboi. Now imagine Dresden or Constantine against Homeb***h. LOL Now if you want close Constaine vs Ghost Rider, that would be interesting, though something tells me John wins... lol Johnny vs Johnny, get it? Seriously Constantine might win if he can avoid the penance stare.
i still remember the time he dodged thors hammer throw.. grabbed it. summoned his motorcycle. and basically hitched a ride with the hammer to sucker punch thor
@@scorpionlord9175 He knocked out World War Hulk (the.... 3rd strongest Hulk?) cold at 50% power, too. Remember that during that timeline, Zarathos and Johnny weren't friendly with each other.
and he doesnt need penance stare for it. GR is laughably stronger. its clear he based this on GR movies that nerfed GR to all living fuck and made him a utter joke compared to his comics.
Possibly not, The punisher managed to survive the penance stare because he didn't feel guilty, litterally. So im assuming Homelander with his psychopathy would also survive the penance stare since he has no guilt. 🤷
@@coredefect6134 many agree that was a stupid take as it doesnt matter if you feel guilt or not, what matter is what sins you've committed and what zarothos thinks of you, i highly doubt many psychos who ghost rider has killed feel guilt for their actions and yet im sure the penance star still worked on em
@@coredefect6134 That was ret-conned. The writers realized how stupid that idea is and changed it so that Punisher actually was carrying an angelic feather given to him by Deadpool at the time, and thus was under divine protection. How he received that blessing is still a plothole but its far less silly than just not giving a shit about the horrible things you've done right in front of a literal Vengeful demon/angel. In fact, in a later issue when Punisher was subjected to the Stare again, he vomited from the sheer pain and blacked out.
@theenderdestruction2362 literally the only way to survive is to enjoy pain (as stated by... every ghost rider comic ever) or be Deadpool.... or Lobo or have Divine protection as that's kinda his whole weakness, but even if you can survive the penance stare, he can still directly attack your soul with his hellfire
He’s an apostle not a actual deity, the deity mephistopheles, which he’s also in both ghost rider movies with Johnny cage( Nicolas cage) cause he’s powers where given to him
Funnily enough, in the King of Hell arc when every Rider and Avenger where fighting in Hell, the main 5 fought Cosmic Ghost Rider and won, Cosmic is sadly considered one of the weakest, considering his story, Robbie could possibly beat him, but the strongest Rider is Johnny.
@@krono6400how so? I know next to nothing about marvel and just assumed that homelander was of the same race as superman and therefore as strong as him. Also, what's a 'regular superhuman'?
No you can only survive penance stare if you constantly take insane amounts of pain like Deadpool or Wolverine or if your life sucks like punisher because Penance makes your feel every pain you inflicted on others FROM THIER point of view thereby the survive requirment is something homelander doesn't have he can't deal with pain he was invulnerable for most of his life therefore he is dying very very fast
@@ericmolina1138 I think it would be more of a draw, as Spawn does much the same as Ghost Rider, though in Spawn's case, he kills those that are guilty, as well as hunt demons that harm the innocent.
@@fenrirgaming37 Spawn managed to become God and his ability surpaces Ghost Rider. I'm a fan of Ghost Rider but after what I manage to understand about Spawn and what he can do I'll be pretty hard to win. But I welcome to be wrong 😅
You forgot the fact that any machinery he touches becomes an invincible weapon. The truck and bike weren’t even scratched when shot with explosive anti tank rounds, I think the badger 287 (the big mining machine) took a rocket and was completely fine. He had a charger that was hit with a rocket and was reshaped once he became ghost rider
I never thought “I need to see Homelander falling prey to Ghost Rider’s Penance Stare”, but it is now a thing I must witness before I can die a happy man…
DanCo has become the Homelander beatdown channel lately. Whenever there's a new video with Homelander, it's obvious it's against someone who can beat him. Death Battle explained how Ghost Rider can beat Lobo, so "Can Homelander beat Ghost Rider?" was never a question.
To be fair, the “survive any weapon known to man” statement comes from a character infamous for lying to make Vought look good, and the comic itself directly states a nuke would take him down.
Meanwhile Ghost rider can't even be harmed by man made weapons lol.staggerd yes harmed? No?.. you'd need a weapon of supernatural, devine or demonic of origin. Not to mention Ghost rider can just casually make hell fire that burns the soul and enchant weapons with them.
