Locked Up Car Wreck 

People need to learn “Jail Talk”. No one falls in love faster than someone who needs a place to stay and a car to drive🤦🏾‍♀️

Look at the big smile on her face. This girl is delusional.

She seems like a beautiful person and has a loving heart. Instead of talking bad on her, I hope she’s learned a hard lesson from this experience. She’s a good woman and deserves better.🙏🏼

Sister please learn from this🤦🏿‍♀️ this man drained a good woman dry, then he cheated on her.🥺 And the judge not even showing her no compassion 😒

It's sad she doesn't understand she's worthy of so much more.

I bet the judge wouldn't tell either of his daughters to give offenders a chance.

Judge Mathis just contradicted everything that he stands for by saying that it's okay to hang around the same people that you got in trouble with before you were incarcerated. In every other episode he advises against this.

He didn’t give her anything but headache, heartache, and a totaled vehicle and she did sooo much for him

This is sooooo sad. She's gushing over building, protecting, and financially supporting a man/ jail bird

JM is giving bad advice. If you’re trying to improve your life, you can’t stay around the same people.

I have a nephew who’s in prison. For many years he’s been trying to hook me up with various inmates. He assumed that because I’m single that I’d be interested. I’m single and alone but I’m not desperate or lonely. Plus I’ve had several boyfriends since he’s been locked up. I’m guessing that because I’ve never told him my personal life that he thinks that I’m just sitting around twiddling my thumbs waiting for a man. As judge Judy has said, women need to stop being desperate.

"Be the man that I met when you were incarcerated" I NEVER thought i'd hear those words.

He's locked up and has nothing better to do. Of course he's going to want to have long conversations and write letters😶

She is literally blinded by love. That man doesn’t love her the way she loves him and everyone can see it but her.

Being desperate in having low self-esteem is a very dangerous drug. It’s also extremely costly.

Throughout the entire case I never once heard her say anything the defendant did for her. Never allow yourself to love someone more than they love you.

JM has a soft spot for ex felons which is understandable but it definitely taints his viewpoint and the advice he gives at times. Celebrating this woman for throwing a year of her life away to fall in love with a jailbird, who then got out and LEFT HER....is insane.

She treated him like he was her son, and wonder why she ended up with a childish man.

Judge Mathis is a rarity. As a rule, dating criminals/"holding a man down" does NOT work out in the woman's favor.

She meant well. Hopefully,she chalked it up as a teachable moment and has moved onward.

The way she speaks so highly of this guy. She made it about him and forgot about herself. That end part when he said he wish the best . Had to been so hurtful to hear. But I'm sure she didn't get it

OMG! An incarcerated person is always going to be on their best behavior, and say what you want to hear when they need an outside person to do things for them when they are locked up. In the end, she allowed herself to be used and hustled by a street criminal. Judge Mathis and his past just happened to be the exception to the rule. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. She fell in love, but he was just out for a free ride.

The judge know he is so wrong advising her to give those guys a chance. She should have never ever talk to a guy like him.

It’s not a sister responsibility to build a man up after jail/prison for this very reason. They have programs for that.

DON'T NEVER LET SOMEONE TELL YOU MORE THAN ONCE THEY DON'T WANT YOU! SHE SAID ALL THAT AT THE END, AND HE WISHED HER THE BEST. . .

It’s the lack of gratitude for be. Ladies, THIS is why you shouldn’t do this. LET THESE MEN STEP UP and take care of THEMSELVES. They had the same hardships most of experience but they refuse to stand up and cut the excuses out.

So Mathis is saying she is a good women because she gave someone in a jail a chance who she helped upgrade and then he moved on to the next..SMH..

His ending response crushed me as much as it crushed you, he had no intentions- just conversation, money on his books and an address to report once released. He only talked to you bc he probably knew the other chick had another dude while he was locked up. This should be a lesson learned, actions speak louder than words.

She's lonely.She clearly stated earlier on that has very little family to bail her out. She put her heart snd soul into him, unfortunately he's not interested in doing what she wants him to do. You did your very best with the best of intentions. You walk away with your head held high! That was life teaching you a lesson.What happened is what happens to alot of women black and white in many countries across this planet. He used you. You were a very useful distraction to him whilst passing time in jail. But he doesn't want you! The universe will reward you for your courage, strength and kindness.

He made her feel important, wanted and needed while he was locked up. She "mothered him. She didn't have her own life together so she clung to him. She wanted to fix manage and control him. And he seen it as an opportunity to come up. He used her.

Why do some men STILL cheat even when they have a woman like her… beautiful, well spoken, and she went above and beyond to help him better himself!!! This is so irritating to me 😤

This guy didn't seem like he was ever serious about her. At the end when she spoke his silent smirking said it all. Somewhere in his head he just isn't ready.

His ending statement said all she needed to know.

She romanticized him & the entire situationship, whole time he was like "I wish her well". Been there.

Why would judge say many “sistas” turn their backs on black men who have been to jail? What an ignorant statement to say! So many things wrong with that assertion. Did his daughters get involved with a man who was in jail or did they turn their back on black men too? It’s a personal decision to entertain an imprisoned man and those who do not shouldn’t be deemed turning their back on anyone.

She literally met him while he was in prison. What did she expect? He said everything she wanted to hear because he needed commissary money. He needed a "hold it down girl" and she fulfilled.

She poured her heart out at the end and left the door open and he barely said three words.

I know that ending broke her heart. She was speaking facts to him and almost pouring her heart out just for him to say I wish her the best. I know her heart dropped. Let him go sis and heal!! Don’t ever ever ever get yourself back in a situation like this. I agree with her getting her money for the car. He should have wanted to do that anyway after her taking care of him. I would have been mad if she lost the case. I drove my man car around until I got mine and if was in an accident at no fault of my own, I still would feel obligated to pay. You take that risk when you drive someone’s car.

Everyone has done something dumb in the name of love. The most important thing to do is learn from it, move on and don't make the same mistake twice!

She said excitingly, "after the video call they started talking everyday all-day, meeting his friends, putting money on his books etc etc Of course y'all talked everyday bc what else was he doing? Where was he going? Sounds like the homegirl who introduced them sat her up and sat him up just to use her. He hit the jackpot!

That man doesn’t want her. She’s speaking to him like he’s still an option. Lady, take that L, like most of us have done, learn from it and move on. If he’s lying and cheating, he don’t want or value you or the relationship. He is what his actions shows, so believe that. Judge knows he would not advise his daughters, to pick up cons from prison.

Whyyy mess with a dude in jail and then be surprised when he gets out and commits a crime against you???

This was really sad how this young lady was just blinded and really believing that after everything she helped him with before and even when he got out of prison was gonna be her husband after only 30 days. She still had good intentions to direct his way even after she won the case showed me that its so sad how good people can get used so bad by raggedy people. She's the type of woman that I need in my life and I've never even been to prison. But I may get overlooked because I'm a man that has taken care of myself and I would be willing to do something for her instead of using her. That's a lot of nerve to take her car over to a woman's house that she's already had issues with. That's all.

He did not say bw discriminate when bw CONSISTENTLY are involved in struggle love. BW you deserve the best! Remember that!

I think the judge is a little wrong on this one. The best way to protect yourself from people who are living a destructive life is to stay away from them. Why put yourself in the position where you have to always be on guard from those around you. That sounds stressful to me. Don't be around people actively engaging in drug activity because you know you are liable to be a victim of their uncontrolled desire to remain high. They can't control themselves a lot of the time that's just what drugs do the people. This guy wasn't on drugs but he still ended up being a bum because he could not treat such a wonderful, beautiful and intelligent woman with the respect she deserved. His loss her gain. I hope she sticks to her motto. Stay away from the people living that life.
