things is with bombs, they can be wired/made to explode if power is lost. Its possible to make bomb where wire is preventing explosion if power is flowing
@@vincenthartono4151 the Lockpicking Lawyer has a Video out explaining the true meaning of Slash resistent. It has something to do with the Guitarist from Guns n Roses.
I want to watch an entire movie that is filmed in first person that just follows LPL as he casually breaks out of various life threatening traps, to the point that he re-locks some traps then Re-picks them
I imagine he wakes up in a cage locked with a few padlocks with spikes above him. The trapper is like in the room or on a camera watching and the first thing he does is look at the padlocks and is shocked and disappointed, "MasterLocks?! Really?!! You could have done so much better than this, it's honestly disappointing" he says with a sigh before smashing the locks together and opening the cage.
Forget a movie, this is prime game fodder! Somebody needs to create a Portal-like first-person puzzle game based on the adventures of LPL. It's basically a perfect fit!
I like to imagine Jigsaw watching in utter disbelief as this man completely dismantles his hellish torture contraption in a matter of seconds while quietly muttering random lockpicking nonsense to himself
@@bluebeka2458 "-BUT NO ONE CARES ABOUT JIGSAW-nooooo its not like he spends days creating a concept and taking hours upon hours of work to torture victims-WHY DOES EVERYONE LAUGH AT ME HUH? WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS? I PICKED AND FOUND SO MANY ITEMS FROM THE GROUND FOR PEOPLE TO JUST LAUGH AT OLD JIGSAW- 'hey mommy looks its that loser wHO COULD NOT EVEN MAKE A GOOD ENOUGH TRAP TO A GUY WITH A LAWYER IN THE NAME!-"
Working at a music store (and generally just being a musician) has absolutely changed my brain because I immediately picked out all the things he used to make the gag trap.
@@Agnes.Nutter @Agnes Nutter The kick pedal is the big one (the bike chain and pedal make the whole mechanism look more complicated), but the others that stuck out to me were the random drum key (for tightening drum heads) sticking out on the right. The bombs wiring is made out of audio cables, and there are several audio jack converters (which convert 35mm audio jacks seen in most headphones to 1/4 inch audio jacks seen in electric guitars/amps and higher-end audio equipment). I can't quite make out what the "bomb" on the left is. Also this isn't music equipment but I still find it very funny how he uses just a regular belt and padlock to simulate his hand being bound.
This implies that jigsaw looked into LPL's history and background and came to the conclusion that he only cared about locks. Then stole his best lock and used it as a hostage.
@@username4evah He thought that of course, LPL's favorite lock would be unpickable. Turns out, he just got a good deal at the corner store. Liked the finish
"Okay folks, as you can see, the design flaws of this trap are inexcusable and would be harmless even against a novice escape attempt. I hope that Jigsaw will see this and look to improve this trap in the future. In any case thats all I have for you today, and as always, have a nice day".
what i love most about this, is that it implies that while he was still trapped to the machine with a literal ticking time bomb, he still took the time to set up a recording set up to film himself
I like the idea that the bomb had a long enough fuse for LPL to realize the issue with it, get his recording stuff set up, and then record a full video of him picking his way out of the trap.
I would have laughed so hard if he said "I'm going to demonstrate that technique right now" and then went into the click on one, two is binding, and had the lock pop open on its own.
"Now the Lawyer part of me would like to remind the audience that devices that threaten injury to another person against their will are illegal, so I would not recommend anyone use one of these in the real world."
I wasn't aware he was actually a lawyer. I always thought he called himself that because his advice on lockpicking was of the same quality as that of a legal professional's legal advice.
What makes this even funnier is the realization that the spring holding the whole thing together on the right is secured by a piece easily unscrewable with your fingers
@@MammalianCreature I am chill. I'm just 100% sure the the op of the comment didn't intend a v instead of a b. And at this point it's almost rude to correct somebody.
@@MammalianCreature Well, correcting when someone obviously just made a little typo is just rude. It's not necessary. If he'd written your instead of you're for example, then it would've been fine.
"this is the lockpicking lawyer, and today, well see if this puppet can figure out which of these 5 locks are faulty. If he can pick one of them in 5 minutes then he'll escape, but if he doesnt, A sleeping gas will fill the room, and when he wakes up he'll have to go through the challenge again, with 5 more added locks. We'll let this continue until he gets out.
I was half expecting him to make a Bosnian Bill reference, something like "Using this paper clip that Bosnian Bill and I found on the ground" would have been perfect.
I love to imagine John Kramer and his apprentices watching in utter disbelief as LPL not only picks the trap open, but puts his hand back in and does it again to prove its not a fluke, and then criticizes Jigsaw for his subpar choice of lock
"Hello, Lock-Picking Lawyer. Yes, I've seen your work online...you've built quite a reputation, humiliating locksmiths over the years. Today, you will suffer as they have - or you will lose your precious lock-picking hands. On your left is a...wait. What? How did you get out? Wait, wait, I had a whole other trap room planned! Please don't leave! ...Please?"
I still think Jigsaw would put him into a trap where he has to not pick a lock. He's sent down a zipline that will take 10 seconds to cross, and the only thing holding him up is a Master lock.
Oh my God this is great, I love it, thinking about LockPickingLawyer just keeping his cool in such situation and calmly going "One is binding... two is set... a click out of four..." just makes me laugh so much lmao
Oh my god… the tone, the cadence, the explanation of the gates, is all perfect…. If you had a slightly higher pitched voice and an American accent I would have thought this was LPL for sure! Bravo sir, well done!
I've got to give props to you for actually picking a lock with just a slightly-bent paperclip and your thumbnail. Even for a parody video, that is impressive.
"I will close the lock again and pick it once more to prove that it was not a fluke" - that would've made my day if it were in the video. For the rest, awesome video. Well done.
Can we take a moment to appreciate that I'm pretty sure they actually picked the padlock for this meme? I mean it may or may not be a difficult padlock to unlock but let's at least appreciate he had the dedication to actually pick it.
Meanwhile, McNally: "This is a Jigsaw trap locked by a Masterlock. You can open it using another Masterlock". *Summons Masterlock out of thin air* *Slam*
With a 2:32 length on the video, I thought he was going to pick it three times, but I guess he spent that time giving a detailed explanation of the trap/lock. (Just like real LPL!)
Imagine being a trap making mastermind. You kidnap a guy and strap him to one of your inescapable mechanisms. He then wakes up, looks at his situation, then looks straight at the camera and says "Hey guys, Lock Picking Lawyer here-"
1:07 I would have gone with "Let's use the tool Bosnian Bill and I made, which Jigsaw has so nicely left in the room with me. We'll tension off 1...click out of 2..."
