Please watch Part 1 first
Part 2 footage was recorded in December of 2021 when I was only 23 months locked. I went to a dermatologist on the recommendation of my loctician. In this vlog you experience what it's like to get kenelog steroid injections. My injections were done at Integrative Dermatology + Spa in Fort Wayne Indiana by Nurse Practicioner Elizabeth Lichtsinn @dr.v-glowcollective-vin1101 Elizabeth was helpful and happy to help me document my experience.

Thank you for sharing this, your hair really is looking beautiful. I'm 36 and I have been locked for 17 years. I used to always have super dense hair, but recently I have noticed thinning in the exact same areas as you. I changed my diet, started some hormone supplements, and the real game changer- started massaging my scalp every night and have seen some big changes. I hope things continue to improve

I noticed some thinning in both those areas as well. I noticed about 6 months before I got my Microlocs. I thought that it was because of menopause. But I will be locked one year on March 28. Your hair is beautiful and continues to flourish irregardless of the thinning areas!

Thank you so much for sharing. I’m 26 and experiencing similar hair thinning. Probably from years of relaxing my leave out in the past and sew ins years ago. I’m considering getting micro locks so this insight has been very helpful and comforting to know I’m not the only one! I wish u the best with your treatments!!

Wow, thanks for sharing this part of your journey. At first I had a hard time watching the injections until you said you could barely feel it. I hope it works for you. I too have thinning but mine is in my crown area. I have a clean spot there. I have androgenic alopecia and a spot in my crown caused by an accident when I was a child. So two reasons the scalp area in my crown is thin. Seems to have gotten thinner since I’ve had my locks based on pics I taken. I hope the injections give you the results you are looking for as it gives hope to others.

I dealt with that when I first got my sisterlocs. I tried Spoiled Child hair systems and baby it truly changed my hair. My edges have grown back and some parts were weak but hey have changed too. So check this out and my loctician told me to put water in a bottle and add some fresh cloves spray your scalp!! Not the hair and message. I pray this helps too Be Blessed

There’s also l a surgery that can be done in which healthy shafts are inserted in problem areas the results are breathtaking and natural looking after 3-6 months

Thanks for sharing. I have sister locs for almost 2 years with thin fine hair. I have hair loss and been using topical Mindoxinil for about 2 years with some benefit. But I have some balding areas and I want to be aggressive with treatment so I'm now doing oral Minoxidil, topical steroids (3 times a week). I have my first PRP injections next month and will be doing home microneedling. I'm hoping this will promote good hair so I can keep my locs intact.

How has your injections helped you?

@@rayray7906 My hair has made very good progress. I've done PRP with micro needling 3 times. I switched to oral Mindoxinil which has helped tremendously. It increases hair growth by simulating hair follicles. I also use a topical steroid immediately after my retightening to minimize inflammation. My edges are full and have less thinning.

I've always had issues in the front of my hairline like yours. I was looking at a baby photo & those areas are thin. I'm hesitant about getting locs.

I think also your sisterlocs size is two small for your strands. I think you should of went bigger with less locs. I also have low density hair and i am considering sisterlocs and i already know that too many for my lower density hair woukd put too much stress on my strands..
