My healthy hair journey led me to locks, and I wrote, illustrated, and self-published Browni Locks And The Three Combs, a funny book to spread positive awareness about locks.
I also designed a journal so that you can document your lock journey!

I can relate to all, especially the baby locks and slippage. I've already begin doing 1&2 and seen progress. I will definitely be doing 3, 4, 5. I want to know more about the seasalt wash. I live right across from the ocean....lol
I ❤ your loc’s. I am in month 4 of my micro-loc journey with thin fine hair. Your video has really encouraged me! I’ve noticed a difference in my hair from day 1, more fullness and some hang time! Thank you for sharing your journey!!
Hi Sis, Just sharing a few tips. Search knotted locs here on RU-vid. That technique may be helpful in the harder to loc areas. I've tried knotting on a few of my locs and that helped me to incorporate loose hairs that grew between my locs. I saw another sister who has a large mane of sisterlocs use a small dab of crazy glue to a tiny section of her loc to bind the loc from being able to slip. I thought that her crazy glue technique was wild but out of desperation to keep a section of my hair from constantly slipping after washing, I hesitantly tried the glue with great success. These tips most likely wont be approved by your locitition but, it's your hair, and sometimes you gotta make things work...Thanks for sharing your loc experiences. I likeb your locs. Your hair texture is interesting, and unique and I think it suits you very well.
I think also your sisterlocs size is two small for your strands. I think you should of went bigger with less locs. I also have low density hair and i am considering sisterlocs and i already know that too many for my lower density hair woukd put too much stress on my strands..
I wash after retie... i never banded nor braided and i had no slippage. I am 8 months in and they are doing great. My hair is fine, some thinning at the top. I notice when i get reties 2 1/2 to 3months in between reties, my crown area is thickening up nicely. 4 to 6 weeks is too soon for me. I make sure they are seperated and no locs grow into each other.
Thank you for sharing this, your hair really is looking beautiful. I'm 36 and I have been locked for 17 years. I used to always have super dense hair, but recently I have noticed thinning in the exact same areas as you. I changed my diet, started some hormone supplements, and the real game changer- started massaging my scalp every night and have seen some big changes. I hope things continue to improve <3
Good morning i'm a new follower I too suffer from Hair loss mine is alopecia I have an appointment coming up on the 24th. With my dermatologist super excited. Hopefully, my injections will help.
Your hair sure did get really full compared to install day hair. Please share, how many locs do you have on your head? Will be a helpful guide for thinner or thicker when we go to install locs. Thanks
